    Awesome detailed specs and insights, I have an old mac book pro mid 2010 with xeon 5610, I wonder if its worth even rigging that one?

    also think about pcie bifurcation and using sas or nvme breakout cards, pcie gen 4 x4 should give the same bandwidth as a gen 3 x8

      Hmmm you would need x16 ribbons coming from the bifurcation which would get really messy really quick lol

    so........... how exactly are the ancient xeons and i7s going to compete with the data centres spiining up pouw on their new high end servers while they have quiet times? x99/x79 is nice but it won't compete with the newer servers.

      Doesn’t have to compete it’s a quest system and based off your queue and benchmarks there doesn’t always need to be the best system working at it
      Multiple systems will be working the same issue in parallel. Otherwise yeah even if you build the best consumer pc it won’t hold a candle to enterprise
      But not sure enterprises are wanting to get into this

      Used both, but am now waiting for them to release the AI portion to do deeper investigation on optimization

    I have not seen anything yet that shows what your base operating system needs to be or what needs to be loaded ontop of that as yet. Will that be coming soon in a new video?

    • @CustomComputing

      From the details I’ve heard it’s either windows or linux. The beta isn’t out yet I’ve requested one and you can be SURE I’ll release a video once I get my hands on it ;)
      Thanks for the comment and view stick around for more to come!

      @@CustomComputing I have been searching for the written hardware requirements for POUW but have not found anything worthwhile yet. Do you have any links you can share?

    Hey! How's it going did you ever restart with Chia?

    • @CustomComputing
      @CustomComputing  Год назад +1

      Yes I did! Was a really hard pill to swallow but I posted a post disaster video on the ransomware hack.
      Really bad situation but because of the chia community I was able to “recover” in terms of mental and willingness to keep going.
      Financially I won’t ever get that back but I learned a lot of tough lessons and you should watch that ransomware video it speaks to all kinds of people :)

      @@axiomcurbcommunityoh man you didn’t need to do that! But greatly appreciated I’m really waiting on official compressed plot support from the gui to do another video and making a new plotting machine and more data :)
