UPDATE AFTER ABOUT 1 YEAR: The red cloth material has held up very well, only a little folding on the seat base. No rips, tears, or discoloration. The black microfiber type fabric on the sides has definitely worn however. No tears, but has clear signs of use. The hinge for the backrest (at least I believe this where it’s coming from) has developed occasional pops, especially when braking using a heavy load cell (I’ve moved on to Simagic P2000s since this video). I still find the seat very comfortable, but go back and forth on whether or not I want a bucket seat for less flex under braking. This material was NOTICEABLY cooler in the summer than the RS6’s was, which was the main reason I purchased it, so it’s done the job great there.
I bought one of these used with a rig, but seems like they modified the underside of it and added their own slider. I would like to get it back to stock, was wondering if anyone has a picture of what this seat should look like underneath as mine is definitely not normal lol
Planning on getting the gt omega prime lite cockpit and was looking into this seat ,im a similar build as yourself ,5ft 10inch and this seat looks a good choice.Great vid cheers 👍👍🍻
Would this seat suit a short person as I'm only 5ft 8, so worried that the back of my head would not be supported by the headrest but touching the plastic hole inserts instead ?
How much delay does your TV have? Your gameplay looked quite out of sync with your wheel movements. Great video though, I've just bought the GT Prime Lite cockpit with this seat, but I thought I'd mention it.
Supposedly it's 11ms in game mode. It's not really noticeable in gameplay but watching it back you are right lol. It definitely is way more noticeable in ACC than any other game I play, so there's probably some animation lag in there as well. Nice! You should enjoy it

Now that has 3 Positions in regards to hybrid GT and Formula 1 And I ordered a chair very similar to yours I ordered the sparko R333 Did you have to buy anything additional to mount your chair? Because I noticed these rigs come with Is that metal plating that bolts to the side of your chair and when you buy chairs like this that recline they don't have the bolt holes on the side. So does it come with the other stuff to mount your chair or is there something additional I will need to buy all the stuff is on the way so I'm just reaching out for any information Before it gets here anyway thanks if you could answer any of these questions or anybody else can answer any of these questions I really appreciate it have a great day
The easiest way would be to get a Sparco seat slider and hardware, I used to have a Sparco R100 and that’s how I had it mounted. Makes it way easier to adjust your position from the wheel. And that won’t raise the height of your seat. The trak racer universal seat bracket for reclining chairs should also work for you, and will give you more adjustment over the angle of the seat base, but it will raise your chair by about 4”. It bolts to the bottom of the chair, the bolts on the sides are to adjust the angle of the bracket piece itself

@@GrandpaWazi You can make anything work. But i would watch out that the mounting holes on the seat are at least flat. Also a nice feature would be if you can find a seat that has height adjustment.

You mentioned you added a 90 degree bracket for the shifter mount, is that needed or will the TR seat bracket give me enough clearance? Also where did you purchase those 90 brackets?
It'll depend on how you have your shifter arm mounted. For me it just happened to be right in line with the recline handle. I just used the corner brackets that came with the Prime and mounted the shifter arm to the side of the uprights instead of inline with them, making it sit out about 1.5 inches wider. I should've included a clear shot of it in the video haha
@@bfife22 If you mount them on the side of the uprights(where the wheel is attached) how did you align the mount that is close to the recline handle? Did you add another spacer plate? because it would not be straight. I'm still messing with this ... lol

@@bfife22 Here's the problem... the rear upright is to close. If I do it your way, the recline handle still hits the rear upright if someone needs the seat closer to the wheel. Do you have the recline handle in the inside of the rear upright? This seat has been a pain. Can you add a pic if possible? I'm almost ready to just get a different seat.
It came with the seat sliders already installed onto the seat bottom. Then you just bolt the seat slider to your rig, or in my case the Trak Racer brackets
I ordered the Omega Prime with a RS12 black seat on the 10th, expecting it to be delivered within the next couple days. I'm surprised, the red cloth seat looks very nice!
Nice! The Prime has been great for the almost 2 years I've had it. And yeah I was thrilled with how the red seat ended up looking. The black one looks great too though
@@spaceandsky1829 I'm average build. The RS9 fits me really well. The only downside is the vinyl cover gets hot. Tend to sweat a lot more than my my previous knit covered seat
Yeah I wish they had a narrower version and had this one as an “XL” one, but I did a 90 minute race today and had no issues. Definitely stays cooler than the PLU seat. But if you rely on the bolsters I’d definitely choose a narrower seat.
I'm looking for a rig rn, but since I'm 6ft7 and 250lbs I'm wary ordering something online and there aren't any showrooms where Id be able to test seats in my area (nearest one is a 3hr drive). Wish there were some tall fat blokes reviewing seats 😂
Yeah the only thing you can really do is compare the dimensions if the manufacturers list them. Or lots of people pull seats from cars in a junkyard to use so you’d get to try it out first. This seat is probably GTOmegas largest one, though the XL-RS might be close. For reference I’m 6’2” and 170, and I find the seat plenty tall enough but wish it was narrower for my torso.

Cheap garbage. Very flimsy and backrest moves freely by 2 inches. Customer service non existent. They don’t stand behind their products at all. Cheapest sparco is 100 times better.

Hard to say for sure, but I think it’d be fine since that height difference isn’t going to be all in your torso. I’m 6’2” for reference.

I just got a used car seat, with a seat slider and every adjustment you can imagine for 50€. Also looks almost new. Solid as a rock as well.
Yeah used car seats can be a steal once you figure out if/how you can mount them to the profile. I considered an 86/BRZ seat for a bit

I have the GT omega prime but the seats aren't my fav. They need a bucket seat. So I went with the Trak Racer GT seat. Good luck.
