since last year there is also the 100W Model A2343 with 3 ports and also foldable. Is this Model A2688 the successor or why could you buy them in parallel?
man ankers gotta clean up their lineup of chargers lol, they got too many chargers at 100-120w with the same form factor, the 737 thats slightly longer but 120w and cheaper, this one, the other chubbier shorter one that's also 100w, there's barely any difference in the real functionality and they all cost $70-90
My thoughts exactly! I have the 737 120w and need a new one for my office but new one is more expensive and just 100w and weird multi charging function
i have had the 100w charger for about 6 month. no complain at all. we took it back to China, korea during summer. it charged our old and new iPhone and my kid's switch. we 3 only needed this one charger. it is designed and made in China,. the only problem is those who yell "cheap chinese plastic" cant afford one, even it is only 85 bucks
I like your reviews but many say that this charger gets extremely hot and stops working after an hour under full load, I think you should’ve checked all the new Prime charges for temperature specially under load. Thanks
the usb a port have 5 pins? i think you can buy a 6A a to c cable to unlock secret charging protocol. this method usually used by chinese smartphone companies, like xiaomi and oppo group.
Nope not in listed outputs. Anker DOES list their 10v6.5a on the chargers that actually support them, like the Anker prime 200w and 250w power bank. Probably just using the same usb-a ports instead of buying new ones. Also, their new Anker prime lineup (not the old Anker prime lineup) does not support that special voltage.
@@Thomas_Ye normal usb a port and usb a cable only has 4 pins. this is a special port with an extra pin. And to use the extra pin we are need a 6A a to c cable because it has extra pin too. So we need a 6A cable because it has 5 pins, not because of its 6A capability.
This is more compact than the Anker 736 Nano II I bought back in July. The price was cheaper, so I opted for that over this thing. I don't know if I did the right thing because that looks so nice and compact!!!! The bio braided cables I got also have the neat organizer clip. I always hated the detachable velcro ones. I would take them off because I didn't want to mess with them.
@@brianh5044 same. I don’t have a single cable with the velcro still on it. This new system is much nicer. And yes, this wall plug is very compact. It’s quite nice!
Tbh, i don’t remember. lol. It’s one of the three i posted today. Your comment about the C300 popped up and I zoomed in on it and replied via text in the video.
idk. I don't have a pixel 9. but come hang out with me and others in the Official Anker Discord server! discord.gg/ankerofficial Someone there might have that phone and this charger.
I do have the 100w base unit that came with it but wanted something a bit lighter and smaller for travel so was considering this plug. Would you say the plug would get hot while charging the battery? I tried charging my prime 200w with my anker 65w gan charging plug n noticed it got hot. I’m not sure if that’s normal. I’m wondering if say that 100w plug would get hot charging the battery or just warm?
so always get higher than you need. If you use a 65w charger, on a 100w battery, it's going to charge at that wall adapters full speed. Which is 65w. Meaning it's GOING to get HOT. Now, if you get a 140, 165, or 200w charger... it's going to be like, this is a cake walk. Think about your car. Do you need your gas pedal held down ALL THE WAY to go the speed limit? Is your car working at it's 100 percent limit just to break even? I don't like taking a 45w charger and charging at 45w, or a 65w at 65w, or a 100w at 100w. If that makes sense. I always try to get more than I'll need. So that power adapter won't get nearly as hot, and will last you MANY more years. Your 65w adapter will get super hot, and eventually... it will die prematurely from heat.
@@wwjoshdewok gotcha. Love your videos. Been upgrading my battery packs n MagSafe battery for traveling. So I shouldn’t get this plug then being 100w right? What would u recommend for this battery that’s over 100w so it won’t get hot? I think I saw some 140w plugs. That should good then right?
@@djradman6794 there is no problem getting this one. I have this one: amzn.to/3YVMEKn and I really like it. They will be upgrading soon to ONLY having four USB C ports, from what the rumors on reddit are saying. But that's the one I have and like. There is nothing wrong with getting the 100w new prime charger to charge something at 100w. I just PREFER to use something more powerful than the device i'm charging, so it's not working at 100%. Just a preference.
I dont like the new powercore banks that have the silver design and large "Screen". I much prefer the look of the Anker 737 Power Bank (PowerCore 24K). I love these new plugs however they look great compared to the matte black / gray gan chargers.
wanted to know whether it support superfast charging 2.0. Subscribed!

Exactly. Plus exactly what to expect when you buy it.
I just purchased this 100w 7series, and I love it, the quality of this charger is premier and charge fast.
Not all 5 videos in an ANKER OFFICIAL EMAIL 👏🏾👏🏾

what's the difference between this 100w charger and the older (still new) 100w ganprime charger ?
The old one has better technology but is a bit bulkier.

Can you please suggest which one I should buy between Ugreen Nexode pro 100w and Anker Prime 100w?
In my area both come in the same price.
can you please do a video comparing the size of this to the old 65w and 100w chargers? thank you!! love your vids!
@@arcrane11 i don’t have the old one. I’m sorry. But I’ll consider buying the old one.
@@wwjoshdewno that’s ok! I kinda just assumed you had like every Anker product at this point 😂
Lmao. Not all. But it does appear that way.
well, you should get the last update 100w with 7 series, coz the new one won't fall from the socket easily.
A question about the cables. Does both length uses 5amps or the longer one only uses up to 5amps and the shorter one doesn't?
I would like to know if the box is made of solid cardboard, like most Anker 7 series products.
