Yeah! People pretend they liked Dean Malenkos style now, because it's the "in" thing to be into small technical wrestlers, but people who are old af like me remember the only cruiserweights in wcw people gave a shit about were jericho, kidman, the Mexicans and Japanese wrestlers. Ultimo Dragon was my personal favourite along with La Parka. Dean Malenko was around 15 years too early. Today where people get hard for PWG dance routines they'd love him, but when he was around he was never entertaing and never would have been a draw back then even with a major push.

All three were established stars well before they went to the WWE. Ray was with WCW until the very end. He and all the rest of the cruiserweights have never had the same kind of exposure and push that they got on Nitro. Every single show they were featured prominently and had some of the best matches in the history of the industry. Vince and the WWE have always preferred bigger wrestlers and have favoured them over the smaller guys. Those three would never have even been given a chance to shine in the WWE had they not already been developed into stars by WCW.

How come "Wild man" Marc Mero aka Johnny B Badd (I loved his character in WCW) didn't make the list? His gimmick was lame. His career was underwhelming in WWE. He got pinned by his own wife Sable.

Vader was probably the single biggest casualty of The Kliq's backstage politicking, and yet nary a mention of Shawn Michaels' very blatant, documented undermining of the man. Now I like HBK as much as the next person, but what is the benefit of glossing over the sins of past, especially when even Shawn himself is so willing to cop to them? It's not like you guys have a working relationship with the man to protect. Sack up and drop the sugarcoating and the innuendos. Big fan of the channel, tough love...

It's strangely ironic that out of all the Radicalz, Dean Malenko was the one who lasted the longest in WWE. Eddie Guerrero died and got inducted into the Hall Of Fame, Chris Benoit died and was never spoken of again for obvious reason, and Perry Saturn seemed to vanish off the face of the Earth.

I think WWE did not know how to use Ultimo Dragon. Again, this should not be the wrestler's fault. As for Barry Windham, he had a successful run in WWF before he went to WCW. He and Mike Rotunda were the Tag champs and had a good run in the early 80's.

I would like to bring clarity to the reference “adding the word new” does not translate into success. He was speaking of adding the word “New” in front of an old gimmick that previously worked. Jim Cornet was smart enough to realize and use the word “original” Midnight Express. I do not think he was referring to word “New” on a fresh gimmick. It’s sad the poor writing, expensive gimmicks and selfish direction eventually took the WCW down.

It is well known fact that it was DDP who was originally booked to feud with The Rock during Invasion as his WCW character was much closer to The Rock's then Booker T's who ended up doing it. For God knows what rason, they went with Booker T and ruined a potentially perfect feud. Only things The Rock and DDP ever had in common is SIMILAR but NOT THE SAME finishing move.

what seems to be a reoccuring theme with a lot of these guys is that Vince/ WWE creative didnt know how to use these guys properly. Jim Cornette has also said Vader didnt help his case b/c he was kind of a whiner.

When Vince bought WCW, it was mainly for the rights to the video library and he wasn't interested in the existing WCW talent. Sting wasn't interested in coming to the WWE after he saw how the WCW wrestlers were being handled on TV.
