@@angelinast9867 idk. Sorry for the VERY late response. It’s still a hunch. But I think they announced they found a new theater. Idk that’s what Alex said I think In a interview
i love the fact that alex sings this in frustration and desperation, like his character is having just as hard a time to accept the fact he's gay as he is to tell his mom he's gay. killing it, alex. love ya
Well, I mean the man at the piano (The bobbing head in the bottom left corner) if I'm not mistaken is Drew. I understand the confusion and hey, I'm just glad you've seen this video because I think that both Alex and Drew are amazing people. They inspire me to be who I am and like what I like, regardless of what others think. Also every time I watch this, I always laugh at 1:01 and 2:13.😭 Hope you're doing well in these quarantine times
@@georgesbleps897 oh cool! I love Be More Chill (another of Ned’s great books) so I’m sure I’ll like that too. But will be triggering cause it’s about Ned’s time in a psych ward (as depicted in the movie)
Mr Beebleboose he’s not bi. He hasn’t confirmed his sexuality and is married to a woman. I don’t think it’s fair to assume his sexuality if he hasn’t told us
Alex is literally my biggest inspiration he’s so good at acting and singing and he’s such a generally nice guy and since this video was posted he’s just got better!
One of my friends just performed this song for a districts competition and afterwords announced that he was, in fact, gay. Best way to come out of the closet.
Oh My God.....I watched this so long ago and watched him perform with Drew Gasparini, "I Could Use A Drink" was one of my favorites! I had no idea he plays Beetlejuice now! Jesus!!!!! Good for him!
I saw this at NYMF so many years ago. It is still as wonderful as I remember. It's aged well and we should hear it more often done by gay choruses. YES!
What is the range of the baritone version of this song I'm considering doing it but I don't want to buy the music if its too high or sits at an awkward range?
Honestly, I think this is how i'm gonna come out to my family, but now I just need to figure out a way to make it w|w, if anyone has ideas PLEASE comment
In no actual order - swap he-man for She-Ra as your favourite cartoon. Sorry mom for being scared to do ballet. Did I like to flirt with boys? Did I like to wear boys clothes (only really useful if you're butch or tomboy I suppose but thought I'd include)? Change the hes for shes. The rest can stay. - From a fellow gay. 💚💜
I recommend doing it based off my classmate's version. It's in a different key scale and sounds better for a female. ruclips.net/video/mdT5WARSw7A/видео.html
+Gabstract221 That's true but I guess, in a sense, it could be trying to help his mom get the point that he always felt that there was something off about him as a child. And he mentions liking his GI Joes a lot soooooo...
Gabrielle Noelle Wood I understand but I think it’s to help his mom see that it’s not out of nowhere. Often times straight people need a reason for us to be gay. Like how do you know?
I understand but it’s more for depth in the song, like these are common gay stereotypes and he’s using them to try and hint to his mother what the end result of the song/message will be.
Sometimes when u are lgtb+ there are 2 (extrem) ways to process it, you either look for validation or refuse to admit it, and in that two mindset you start looking behing, looking for "signs", for "why" you are like "this", if you are not cis you star asking if you always disliked gender comforming clothes, if you refered to urself with another name, etc. If u are not hetero you ask if you ever found atractive certain character, if you ever identified with a "butch" or gay coded character, things like that. And yeah, as someone already mentioned u also start giving sign to your parents, start testing water, to see if you enviorement is safe. So yeah, sorry for the rant, just discovered this song and my eyes are watering 😂, also sorry if i have broken english, not my first language and im too tired
Alex 2014: "I won't be going to hell"
Alex 2019: "Hi. I'll be your guide. I'll be your G-U-I-D-E to the other side"
That hilarious 😆😂
Lol

Also Alex in 2024: voices the first man Adam and sinner Sir Pentious@@kc_9970

Legend has it... this is the alternative ending to ‘Love, Simon’
I love how the person that you can see behind Alex during the beat drop for the chorus was jamming out.
Glad you love that. That person behind Alex is me, Drew Gasparini, the dude who wrote the song :) Thanks for watching!

How is possible to get the music?

The guy on the piano keeps distracting me. And now that I've pointed it out, he's distracting you.
Why is he looking like Jack Black
Is Alex actually gay??
Gemma Brohan no he has a girl friend
Edit: he could be bi though but what I do know is that he’s awesome
Live It Or pan
He has a wife now
There’s an interview of him saying when he was young he thought he was gay but he’s not. I can give the link if you like
MoonShoes Potter he’s probably bi tbh but I’m not the one to judge as it’s his personal identity not mine
The only reason I don't like this is because none of these things make you gay. And he doesn't mention being sexually attracted to men.
