@@tomkinzel4854 man that stuff was not what I was expecting lol
What’s an IGBT? Sounds like I don’t want to mess with that goo 😆
@@scrapitall200 IGBTs are used in high HP motor controllers and power amplifiers. They come in many different configurations but operate the same. I used to test those controllers.
@ ok cool, thank you for letting me know!
Hope your days are good for you, even if you cannot have a dog just yet ☀️
Thank you my friend!
I hope you’re doing well.
Thank you for watching 😁
There is silver contacts in those phones. Small, but like you say, it all adds up.
Yeah i saw those after I made video, thank you.
Good vid brother
@@PhilipRomeo69 thanks so much brother
Hey Y'all ✌️
Hey scrapper! 👋
Hi just subbed to you That’s right
That’s awesome!!
First item looks like a dryer or AC receptacle!
Good to know, thank you!
Another great video thanks :-)
Thank you so much!
Hey, just saw a Mike The Scavenger video where he removed copper from motors with a air chisel, fairly quickly. Might want to check it out.
Absolutely! I first saw okie scrapper use one, it’s pretty slick. Thank you buddy!
Isn’t that wire in first couple mins only #2? It isn’t larger than a pencil lead
Not at all yards, that’s why I try to tell people to know their yard. Thank you for watching.
THOSE ROTARY PHONES ARE WORTH ALOT OF MONEY THESE DAYS....BUT NOT AS SCRAP
I have two red ones, you interested in buying them?
@@scrapitall200 red one ?? Yes
At 11:50, could you put that copper in a rock tumbler to get the mess off of it? Your thoughts.
@@coreyhoward8950 I don’t know but that’s a cool idea that definitely would be worth trying!
Super.🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Hi mate just got your sticker thank you
@@Derbyhobbiescrapper oh good! You’re welcome my friend.
That plug at the beginning was for a 220 electric dryer
Ok cool, thank you.
You should try the hatchet on the transformer you won’t go back
My vise is too high and holding the hatchet up on the transformer, my shoulder doesn’t like it. I’ll try it with my outside vise which is lower. Thank you buddy.
@ it doesn’t need to be n a vice it will split like log 😉
@@nicejunk666 so just so I’m clear. Use the hatchet like a splitting wedge along with the hammer?
@ yes sir I actually have a video on it it was one of my first ones
@ ok cool. Thanks Junk
At 7:20, isn't the outer casing of that capacitor made of aluminum? I've never opened one up to see what's inside. Does anyone know what is inside?
@@coreyhoward8950 there is layers of aluminum and paper and oil. They are not worth messing with unless they are really large. Some yards will buy them as aluminum breakage, but most yards just call them shred.
Ferrule
??

I got it now, thank you. I think we call them compression fittings, but now my memory has been jogged. Thank you both.
To be honest, I never heard the word before and actually thought he was messing around.
Calling you a ferro mule or something.
So I looked it up and remembered the little ring.
🤣🤣 I might be one of those.
I’ve heard the word said, but never seen it spelled out before! Thanks again.
I want to get a pair of gloves like yours. I looked on the ace website. I can’t find the exact pair that you wear. I found a similar product that says they are coded work gloves are those the same? Thanks buddy. God bless love your videos.
@@poolplayers21 they are called coated mens/women’s indoor outdoor gloves. $9.99 for 3 pair on their website.
I believe what you found are the same gloves I use.
Thank you so much and God bless you too.

@@poolplayers21 you’re welcome!

Can you tell me Sir, what kind of tool you use for cutting or extracting the small parts, like brass contacts or etc;;; Thanks a lot for your answer!!! I'm watching you from Greece!!!
@@ΔήμοςΒασιλέρης I use a variety of tools but I use my Doyle brand side cutters for a lot of different things. Thank you so much and I hope all is great in Greece!
3rd btw are copper prices up you said it was a great day to scrap?
Woohoo for 3rd!
I’m some places they are, not in my area though.
It was a gloomy day outside, so that’s why it was a good day to scrap lol. Thank you for watching bud!
😎👍👍👍❤️
@@leocorneillier1996 thank you! 😊
1000 ft 🤣🤣🤣 that would be wild
I’d be smiling the entire time stripping it lol
@scrapitall200 I know you would!!! I'd be smiling just watching you do it! I hope you bring something bigger than that box knife though 🤣🤣🤣
Should I wait until after the election to sell my metal?
Wow that’s a great question.
I’m holding my copper and brass, mostly because it’s typically in the spring prices go up. As far as the election and what might happen to strap prices, I’m not qualified to say one way or the other!
@@scrapitall200 me either lol. I've heard that from older folks that scrap. I've got a fair stash of stuff for Xmas money and I want to get the most from my work. I think I will watch the prices and see. I love your videos and I hope you have a blessed day!!
@@Jason1975ism that’s a great idea. Just keep an eye on it and sell when it’s good enough for what you want. It’s always a bit of a gamble. Thank you so much. You too my friend.

Think scapping the old phone was a bad idea. If you could find a prop company vintage or old stuff is wanted in movie sets. I dont worry about it i scrap it. Just saying
@@richardhulbert9480 yeah a few folks pointed out they have resale value. I think they said red ones are very desirable.
Ya know I love your videos but when you do the price breakdown. It's a bit disheartening to see what I make a day out in the shed tearing things apart. I will keep doing it though I always say well it's copper in the bucket. Working on odds and ends cleaning up the work bench then back after the gold.
@@richardhulbert9480 I know it’s a cliche, but it does all add up. The way I look at it, it’s fun and most hobbies cost money where as this one makes us money. Plus, it’s better than sitting around doing nothing lol.
I hope you have a great day my friend! Thank you for watching.
@scrapitall200 I have a few hobbies. Such as fishing scrapping and rock tumbling. The fishing costs money the rock tumbling costs money.vthe scrapping helps cover that. I am blessed that I make a comfortable living these days. But I spent many years that the scrap money came in real handy. Even though I don't need to I keep scrapping because it's relaxing and as you said it's a side hustle to bring in some money. Bless ya.
That’s awesome! What sort of fishing you into? I used to fish a lot around here for cod, salmon and occasionally a rare halibut, but it’s gotten so hard with all the local regulations.
Bless you too my friend.
@scrapitall200 I live in Florida. We are almost surrounded by water. I've done salt water fishing trips but to me it's most fun to sit on a bank of river or lake and ya never know what's pulling that bobber under. We have BIG Bass down here but I catch and release them. Now if I get a few channel cats I may have them for dinner. Nothing tastes sweeter than a blue gill. Damn now ya made me hungry. Be back later.
@ oh sweet!
I agree, relaxing day on the bank fishing is perfect.
Dang, now I’m hungry 🤣
Have a great day my friend.
Saw Bushdog scrapper showing off your sticker. I want one for my wall. I have no aspirations of starting a you tube channel. I just keep on scrapping. I have not thought of toll refining because everyone thinks they have more gold than is there. I do the best I can to get the most I can from the material. That said if you trust me send me your material with a sticker for the wall. I will get the gold and send you 75 percent of it back. Richard Hulbert 270 S. Hankin Rd Bartow Fl 33830.
