Playing chess until I hit 2000: Day 240

This is day 240 of my journey to get to a rating of 2000 on chess.com.
Even though I lost both of these games I believe I've learned a ton from them. Critical moments come sooner than I often expect, and I can have a huge advantage early if I just focus up from the beginning. I made a ton of mistakes in both games and missed a lot, but I'm feeling better than ever after analyzing these two games much more thoroughly, hope you enjoy seeing them.
So far on the series:
179 wins 22 draws 150 losses

Nothing worse than being excited to own some noob with the jobava only to see a benoni response
@@TheRosiebeam haha Broo I hate the Benoni, but now I feel more confident against it
B-man - Just thought I would mention that, as is the case with most of us, it is not about the opening, but the middlegame. Relentlessly working through tactics will get you to where you need to be. Hang in there, you are in a place right along with me - playing well, but making a middlegame mistake that turns things over.
@@GeorgeSmyth thanks George!! I'm gonna start climbing again soon, don't worry!! It'll click!! I know it!
Chess is like golf, if you make a bad move, don't be upsetor frustrated about itt, just keep looking for the best, otherwise your moves will get worse.
That's a great analogy, thanks for this!!
Tough losses! The tilt hit hard at the end. Keep on keeping on!
@@DaVaidrRaidr it did indeed! I'm gonna get back up and keep going!!
Owen. This is a step on the journey. What can you learn from today? How can you incorporate this knowledge into your game. Looking forward to the next step change.
@@snowboyben1978 I've learned a ton haha, it's gonna happen! Never fear!!
Maybe continue to look into the more cutting edge ideas for the Dutch because not all Dutch games are the same. Good game on this one!
@@TheTakenName will do... Thanks...

@@EaglesLFC86NIR county down?? No way! Where in county down?
@@Blunder_Man Ards!
@@EaglesLFC86NIR amazing! Hahaha
Man, I really think you should explore the Najdorf, it's very theoretically explored and has many solid lines. I play it the most out of any opening, and have had a lot of success with it.
I don't really wanna learn another but maybe it's similar, I might look at it
@Blunder_Man It's genuinely a system that doesn't require major central exchanges. Just develop dark squared bishop after a6, then castle. Sometimes you can follow up with a kingside fianchetto of the bishop after a6, depends on opponents response after a6.
@@Yute01 I'm looking in to it right now
@@Blunder_Man Cool :)
"he gave me a smiley face in the chat" lmao
@@exoendo hahahah

Come back home bro, no shame in it, do it for the channel. That US heat is ruining everything!! :)
@@thedrbs lol, I'll get back and start winning again soon!! Don't give up on me
Hey bro i want to open a new youtube channel can you tell me how much earnings do you have from youtube?
@@Jdjfueij don't get into RUclips for making money
Man do not start yt to make money because it's guaranteed effort, for money that isn't guaranteed. There's other ways to make money that are much more effective.
but if you enjoy what you're making, then do it, if money comes, happy days, if it doesn't happy days!
