The real reason Bayern lost is because an individual error by one of the most experienced goalkeepers cost them. Tuchel can’t account for that. Also Kane isn’t the big game player people think he is.

I’ve always been saying this, Kane doesn’t show up in big games. What’s the point of having 30+ goals a season when you can’t score, the most important games. I’d rather a striker who scores 15 goals a season, but those 15 goals are crucial to winning titles.

It's normal to go defensive for the last few minutes to protect a lead. Sometimes it backfires.
The error is thinking you can do that to Real Madrid at home in a semifinal UCL game. The minimum is to think they are going to get even and force extra time, how were they gonna play that without strikers?.
You don't do that against real Madrid, ESPECIALLY at the bernabau. You can clearly see the tactic of Bayern was waste as much time as possible after scoring their first goal, and hope for the best. They forgot that real Madrid is a club that never gives up that easily, and the only way to win against them is to play AS ferocious as them in the last few minutes. They didn't and thought they had won and paid the mistake.

Some might disagree but it was lowkey another Tuchel masterclass in the UCL, and again in the Bernabeu after Chelsea 21/22 in QFs. Kimmich was getting absolutely battered so he was brought infield and one CB went out towards him. But, playing 6 at the back meant space had to open up in the center and that's from where Vini took the shot. Neuer choose the worst mistake and time to concede. It's astonishing how the final 20-25 mins of this game were identical to the Man City game in the SFs. It's real Madrid's magic in the UCL, that's football heritage right there. Unlike matches in 21/22, Madrid dominated much more and deserved to go through.

Tuchel is a better coach than ETH and certainly experienced but his "profile" isn't right. He made such a fuss about not getting Palinha at the start of this season. That's the case with every transfer at Utd. He would be absolutely ranting about the board 1 yr into the job. United need to build around their core players and academy and ETH is better suited. Whether you think he is the right man or not, no manager, even Pep would succeed with this mismatched squad.

Playing ultra defensive and a back 6 meant space would open up in the center. If Vini wouldn't be smart and look to take on 3 players out wide and get a cutback in where the Bayern players were swarming instead of taking a shot from the space created, we wouldn't have seen this comeback. If Joselu wouldn't be brought on to engage the 3 CBs of Bayern and pounce on loose balls and get onto the end of crosses, Madrid wouldn't have won.

What is football becoming? I might not like the way Tuchel operates because every club he leaves, they immediately fall down, but how can you go at the manager for doing a substitution when his team is winning there are 10 or 20 mins left. What is even more mad is that there were less than 10 minutes of the normal time while you were having a lead.
Now any substitution or mistake the manager does, he has to be taken down and critiqued at max. No wander in the last few years managers has been sacked in a record amount because people blame the manager for any loss or draw. If the team win a hard match, you’ll rarely see the manager being praised, but the best player or best 2 or 3 players being praised. If loss comes is 100% the manager 😑

Bayern would have stll lost with Kane on the field. He was quiet all game and was unlikely to score a goal. He had one shot off target, and that's was it, so why not sub him off at 85 mins and try and protect Bayern's slim 1 goal lead? Instead of blaming Tuchel why not look at the players instead. Look at Manuel Neuer and how he let the ball spill out of his grasp, letting Real Madrid back in the game for the first goal and look at how Kimmich got bullied by Vini Jr down the right hand side, which was creating many chances for Real Madrid and ultimately led to the 2nd goal.
He had 3 shots, held the ball up set up the goal with his pass and did defensive headers to clear the lines. I think you guys are bias against Kane and English media.
