What an amazing actress. She made us see the wonderful and respectable side of acting not the glamour or the glitter. And the young dude from Cambridge can learn some good manners from Dame Diana on how to relate to an audience. During question time use the proper terms Lady/ Gentleman instead of saying 'the woman over there in the third row' or 'the man at the back'.
An incredibly beautiful woman who is amazingly talented and a delight to see in person. Dame Diana is a gracious, mature woman and watching and listening to here during the interview I found her to be wonderfully down-to-earth. Patrick Macnee has said: "Diana is a gem and delightful". How very true. She's in politely in charge of the interview and the young man sitting next to her is horribly no manners and no respect toward a mature, talented, and knowledgeable woman. Shame on that interviewer!
She does an amazing job of interviewing herself and is gracious enough not let on that she knows the poor petal opposite her is totally out of his depth.
I know she had done so much in her decades spanning career, but she will always be fondly remembered to me as Mrs. Emma Peel. That role says a lot about her talent and the quality of that show. She was only in it from 1965-67 but it still remains iconic and beloved over 50 years later. Looking at her here brings back such wonderful memories of that show. I can hear the Avengers theme playing, her auburn hair swishing around the red leather chair and then her brushing her hair back with the gold pistol as her name comes on the opening credits.
What an absolutely wonderful and talented lady, a true credit to a wide genre of acting, spanning decades, and being able to adapt to many various roles. A very talented, and sadly missed English rose.
How does a young man reach this point in his life and not realize he should stand politely and reverently until his accomplished guest has seated herself? What an embarrassment.
Yes, I noticed that immediately, and with similar surprise and disapproval, leading me to think that he would be the ineffectual interviewer that he did indeed turn out to be.
IT SHOWS THERE NOT PERFECT. HE EVEN SHOWED HIS PANTS WAS UP HIGH SHOWEN HIS LEG. IM GLAD TO SEE HE WASNT PERFECT. ITS NOT WHO YOU ARE ITS EXPERIENCE WERE BORN. IN .WE NEED TO BE SIMPLE TO EACH OTHER. NOT SNOD DOWN ANOTHER PERSONS?RANK. LIKE THESE PRIVILEGE STUDENTS. HONESTLY I DONT LEARN NOTHEN FROM THEM. EVEN DIANA IN NEXT LEVEL OF LIFE SHE ALLSO HAS LOT MORE TO LEARN. BUT SHE NEVER LOST WHO SHE WAS.

Age is a matter of spirit. Then we must keep the burning flame of life burning and illuminating within us. I have been watching the 1981 Agatha Christie movie "evil under the sun"over and over on my 75-inch TV I just purchased and I've never really had a chance to view her work or pay much attention to her until this movie! On a scale of 1 to 10 - I would definitely give her a 12 on every rating imaginable: beauty, body, face and eyes, gorgeous legs and arms, an exceptionally controlled wonderful sultry singing voice ( wickedly interacting with an equally legendary Maggie Smith ! Both are equally mesmerizing and captivating! These two great talents never overacting using subtle truly bitchy, hilarious innuendos at eachother! They truly make this movie a must-see!! And in this movie Diana rigg (beauty, class, and talent) very few are in that class. Angie Dickinson, cyd Charisse and maybe Raquel Welch. True, they're not all the same but each having their own individual gifts. Diana was in her mid-forties and as Diana said in an interview it takes complete dedication and commitment and sacrifice to look that way and she decided that it wasn't that important. After all unlike many other beauties she is truly a great actress continuously tapping her wealth of talent getting even better with each role. I truly love everything about this wonderful lady. 😇🤗👍♥️💞
That was another boo boo. Given her microphone. And not standing up when she arrived and sitting before her. Not wearen tie. Silly twit. They suppose to be privilege and i feel there no better all same. All is one .ONCE THE LEVEL OF LIGHT HITS
Alas, because the term was originally coined in the 1960s, we do seem to be stuck with “Bond Girls”, regardless of people’s age then or now. Even Dame Judie Dench, on occasions, was called a Bond Girl (not least by her then husband Michael Williams at the time she was first offered the role of “M”). It’s certainly significant though that, despite some attempts to talk of Bond Boys (examples being a young Benicio del Toro and Alan Cumming), it never really took off. Patriarchy over-ruling alliteration?
What a master class she is! And not just back on Broadway, but in a musical - good for her. Even better for her audiences.
He could have had the manners to stand until his guests was seated...
Yes very true....how sad on this part.
Patrick wouldn’t approve.
Little toad
First thing I noticed too..no courtesy or manners these days.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought the "interviewer" was lousy and didn't have a clue.
@@trevl8955 Yes, I would totally agree with you. I thought I was perhaps being to hard on the guy. He looked very inexperienced.
Josh Drayton Agreed.

She needed a couple of drinks after that interview. She’s such an incredible talent, and the kid seemed clueless at best.

Yes that show they aired here in the States back then and I watched it and was hooked.
And her leather black and white
Dame Diana is one of a kind, I cant wait to see her in February.
I hope that you did have the privilege of seeing her.

He sat before Dame Diana. I hope he sees this.
She knew the valve of life and would still be with us if at all possible. I wish she could

She was so great in game of Thrones just wonderful
He didn't even mention The Avengers in his introduction. Unbelievable.
Such wisdom that I suspect many (not all) Gen X and millennials will dismiss out of hand
The host wasn't great but the interview was worth watching, thank you for posting.
Your worth all tea in China
Dame Diana Rigg!
You will never be oxidado my queen.
Such an interesting intelegent beautiful lady pure class
Sitting down before Diana Rigg does is such bad maners!
Never mind the lout. She'll always be my Contessa Teresa di Vicenzo!

Not lathered in cosmetics or marred by plastic surgery.
But a good dentist is not a bad thing!
She did have plastic surgery in 1981 but regretted it and vowed to never have it again.
She admitted to having had a little eyelift when she was in her early 40s.
Rip DAME Diana 🌹
0:48 - 1:00 That was incredibly awkward! The kid should've remained standing until she sat down first. He has a lot of learning to do.

I would have thought he should have stood to greet her!

So interesting intelligent.
