Luhan is a Chinese Peter Pan. He doesn't look like he age. I still remember the time when I was crazy about him. He was my bias when he was in EXO. He was talented, good-looking and you just protect him. It's good that he didn't take the same path as Kris did and stayed in a long-term relationship. He definitely made the right decision to announce his relationship. Hiding a serious relationship like that is challenging and only a temporary measure. It is better to just give an official notice and loose the fans up front than to deal with even more backlash if the secret comes out later. And, professional entertainers are people. They need downtime and happiness. They work hard bringing fans a product. I believe they earn their personal interests and considerations. I hate that parasocial concept of a relationship that so many stalkers seem to have. Find your sanity, and treat your idols well.
I also love how he left the group - he finished all the activities, a tour and then announced his leaving, showing all the respect to the company and the members. No drama involved. Aside from other Chinese members. Same thing he did with his love life, with gratitude and self-esteem 😊

Luhan was my second bias (after Baekhyun) in EXO. Even though it may have cost him money, I think it was brave of him to announce his relationship because the reality is he is human. It’s normal for humans to date and to love. The “fans” that hurt themselves after hearing he was dating need to get over themselves and get immersed in the real world. I hope Luhan is able to make music and star in movies for as long as he wants (if that is what he wants).
He is smart he left company that didn’t treat him well and made himself as solo artist and actor and good for him not letting fans control his life, I wish most idols were strong like him.

Luhan never really did anything wrong. Both times he had to take these crucial decisions, he chose things for valid reasons even if they came with critism to his career but I think in a way its fine cause those are only there for his "pretty boy" imagine will reveal themselves and leave for good. His true fans would love him for his talent. He left Exo due to both mental/physical damage, low salary and discrimination. All of this especially away from your homeland without family can take a toll on anyone. We know of many cases where trainees and idols died because of extreme workload and pressure. Its not like his departure even created any rift for the group cause he chose right timing to leave after their promotions and activities were done unlike what Kris, his leader did by leaving behind their group at crucial moment. Even now Luhan cleared up his relationship status instead of dispatch revealing it. It just shows how much he does care for the fans and that they deserve to know what's he doing in life. We must understand these idols are human too who wish to crave a partner at certain point in time. Luhan is already in his 30s, he was one of the eldest members of Exo. He'd already give 11-13 years of his life as an artist. People need to at least be emphathetic to him as a decent human being. Choosing "life" and "love" over career is something no person should be ashamed off and don't deserve to be guilt trippen by fans. Luhan owns them his talent, not his life and people involved in it. Imagine being shamed for being in love and wanting to spent a happy life with someone forever when in contrast there's cases like Kris too.

I have been a fan of LuHan since 2012. I'm so thankful to him. I can't say nothing else. He shined on stage for us, for me, he gave a distraction when I most needed it and I can't ask for more.
After looking at this video I realized LuHan is extremely brave. Even in his predebut, he went to Korea by his own to persue his dream. Then he debuted and his group became worldwide famous in no time, EXO was at the peak of their career but he didn't care about the fame, he wanted justice and peace, so he left the group and the company.
Then he chose love and honesty. He trusted his fans and announce his girlfriend to us, he did something no other idol has done with such an easy-going vibe.
LuHan is a brave man, he always has been. I remeber the day he announced his relationship and, believe me, I remember not being surprised at all. He was true to himself that day and I felt happy for him. I still do.

I do think he is a good guy compared to his other bandmate, Kris Wu. He is loyal to Xiaotong, and hardly got into scandals. Who never got drunk though? I've been a fan since he debut with EXO in 2013. I've always loved his voice. When he departed EXO I was happy with it because that decision was taken taking his health into consideration and making his health his priority. And then when he announced his relationship that made me happy and so relieved because he had somone who loved him and cared for him genuinely and whom he loved back sincerely. He wasn't lonely. He deserves that much in his life. He doesn't owe us anything. I am here for his voice. I still listen to my collection of his songs when I feel too stressed, his voice is melodic and soothing and instantly helps me to feel better. He didn't deserve the backlash he got. That was downright ridiculous how some so called fans acted. Pretty sure it was traumatic for him to go through that. I am very glad both of them are still together and their love is still going strong. It was his gentle and healing voice that captured my heart. And I will forever be a fan of that ❤

The truth is that their Kpop fame enabled them to be famous in China so that they’d opt to focus there because it’s a very big market. They’re basically mercenaries.
