    I am seeing them on Sunday with a mix of excitement and trepidation. Seem to be quite a few reports of poor sound and Brian's voice being shot, so might be best to remember them as they were on the Black Ice tour, or even the start of the Rock or Bust tour? Small point, but I preferred the start of the Power Trip gig with the car racing towards the stage, rather than stopping, and also the pyro. Talking of pyro, both Spain and Italy had the fireworks during the last bit of FTATR, after Brian's last 'fire', rather than after the band leave the stage. Again a small point, but I think it does make a difference. Still very much looking forward to it!

      Overall was a great show and you'll have a great time! I was floor standing. Brian can still deliver. But we must remember time waits for no-one. Not shot. Just not as powerful. He did brilliantly. Separate to Brian, the overall sound was rubbish. Could often not pick up Brian or Angus in the mix. And drums hit the back of the stadium and reverbed. Intro videos now lazy. A train, then a meteor, now a car. Fireworks serve only to keep the crowd entertained whilst the band jump in their cars.

    First band I ever went to see live back in the late 80s at Whitley Bay Ice Rink, absolutely amazing and literally brought the house down(the ceiling tiles fell in when the canons went off at the end…!).
    This however, is terrible, they should call it a day. Sad.

      It's true, I was worried how good Brian and Angus were going to be but it turned out that their energy was boundless. But the sound was awful. I cannot complain at the band but sound management has a lot to answer for.

    • @D-C.
      @D-C. 6 месяцев назад

      @@Free-Solo1970 I second that. It was no better up in the heavens. We heard AC/DC play, but not the singing. It was still a fantastic event, but massively let down by the engineers. The group are still at their best though.

    Sounds dreadful - tempo, sound quality, vocals, stage show 🤷‍♂️
    I saw them in 1982 at Birmingham NEC, one of the best gigs ever - I'd prefer to remember them like that.

      @martymartin2894 6 месяцев назад +3

      Yeah this is absolutely dreadful and embarrassing for such a brilliant band

    • @stewy62
      @stewy62 6 месяцев назад

      I was also at one of the two concerts at B’ham NEC in 1982, that was the only time I saw AC/DC live. My younger brother was with me who had seen them on the previous two tours in much smaller venues and at Monsters of Rock the previous year, which I had refused to go to and regret it to this day as I never got another chance to see Whitesnake with Bernie Marsden on guitar. I remember two things from that gig. Brian Johnston sang a verse from “Dirty Deeds” twice but it didn’t throw the rest of the band at all, they covered up his mistake like it never happened. The second thing was the support band, Y&T, I’d never heard of them but they were brilliant and they remain one of my favourites to this day. Hopefully I will see Y&T when they return to the UK later this year. I still enjoy AC/DC but my brother lost interest after that 1982 concert.

    • @kdee8166
      @kdee8166 6 месяцев назад +1

      @stewy62 Funny you mention Y&T as that was the first I'd heard of them that night and I'm still a fan to this day as well - they were so loud too.
      AC/DC kicked off with Hells Bells, absolutely brilliant gig. I was only 17 - great days.
