I’d love the veritable nd filter because they can be helpful when shooting with flash outdoors if you don’t want to use high speed sync. On many strobes, high speed sync uses more battery while simultaneously reducing effective flash output. A veritable nd filter would help keep me in the normal flash sync speed range while outside and get a lower aperture to get some shallower depth of field.

I photograph Cross Country races for my school on my Nikon D3500 and a lot of the time I get unwanted reflections from the grass and shine on people's skin. Especially because I shoot at a low f-stop to get the racers in focus while giving the background a soft blur. A circular polarizer would be a great way to fix these issues and enhance my sports photography. On the other hand at night I have been experimenting with light trails. An issue that has come up with doing light trails at night, is that a lot of cool locations in my area are only open during the day. I looked into daytime light painting, and saw that a neutral density filter is essential. Then I watched this video and learned to my surprise that a 2 in 1 circular polarizer and variable neutral density filter exists!!! My mind was blown!!!

Im all about Time lapse and long exposure but havent heard of these tricks. Its very cool that these tricks go against the laws of normal photography... Make everything dark as possible and bump down the Fstop 4 slots. That would literally kill a professor of photography, instant heart attack. I finally see why motion blur is so important in stop motion animations, what a difference that makes. Thanks for the new inspiration and tricks

I've been eyeing an ND filter, specifically the 72mm variant for my Viltrox RF85mm lens. I'm all about that portraiture life, and when it comes to shooting in High-Speed Sync (HSS) Indoors or Outdoors. I'm on the lookout for a quality ND filter that not only fits my lens but also complements my shooting style. A variable ND filter could provide that extra flexibility to fine-tune the exposure without swapping filters constantly.

Hi Anthony, All the filters mentioned in the video are great for photography. If I had to choose only one of the filters, that would definitely be the 2 in 1 Variable ND with CPL filter.
There are a lot of reasons to choosing this filter:
    1. No more hassling with stacking multiple filters (hence avoiding the possible vignette if shooting on ultra-wide angle lenses).
    2. Variable elements allow fine tuning the exposure and polarizing effect, so that I can set up the best low-noise exposure for shooting landscape and cityscape during the preciously short golden hour.
    3. The slightly thicker filter ring from the 2-in1 structure makes putting the filter onto lens thread much easier especially when I am wearing gloves during the winter season.
Thank You for the informative video!

As a new business starting out, literally everything is a large expense, from new batteries, to new lenses. I did slap on an ND64, the highest I had, on my 22mm F2 EF-M, and did a timelapse of me driving our newly minted car (2022 Mazda CX5 GT) as part of my test drive, choice, and acquisition of said car. Its definitely a fun technique and way to shoot. The best shot I did was of a baby either pilot or humpback whale jumping out of the water while we were leaving I think St. Lucia or St Martaan on one of my cruise trip. I shot it with an older Canon RebelT3 with an EFS 18-85mm 4-5.6, and I had a CPL on it to catch the silhouette of the mother whale underwater that never broke water. So no one but me knew she was there. I've got a Cuba trip coming up, and I just preordered the new RF 10-18mm specifically for this trip. A CPL would work magic for those beach shots on that lens.
BTW, I went to ProFusion on day 1 but couldn't stay long enough to catch your lecture.

any of these lens filters would be amazing, but I think that the nano x pro circular filter would be most helpful to me, since I do a lot of vehicle shooting (lots of reflections there!) and also a lot of shooting around water (again, lots of reflections.) thanks for all the content you make, and i'll definitely keep watching your videos in 2024 because i LOVE them! 😍

I’d love the variable ND! Shooting waterfalls is one of my favorite things to do with photography, and a solid ND filter is a must.

Personally I would love the 2-in-1 or even the 1000ND as I love experimenting with new styles of photographing, even though my favourite is wildlife.

I'm newer to photography and I'm really into car photography. I use a Lumix gx85 and like a 50mm prime and 40-150mm zoom and I think a cp would make my pictures look way better

ND filters are my favorite, just to get that smooth blurred low shutter speed photos in nature

    Hi Antony,
All the filter looks amazing but I would go for the 2 in 1 ND and CPL filter. I mostly shoot sunsets and architecture during my trip. I’ve wanted to get these filters but I don’t got the budget for it. Thank you for the opportunity you gave us !

The 2 in 1 CP and ND would be super handy! I always shoot with a CP on all my lens. The 2 in 1 would be great for more product shots and long expose wedding shots!

Hello Anthony, I've just recently started doing photography as a hobby. I shoot on a Canon EOS 1500D with the 18-55mm kit lens, with this I mainly do sports photography (men's A-league matches) so having a variable ND filter will not only allow allow me to have more vibrant colours and also capture the motion of the players chasing the ball.
Thank you for all this useful knowledge and chance a chance to win.

Interested in learning and doing more landscape/street photography in the cold off season of my portrait business-this equipment would be invaluable! Thanks for all these videos! 🤌🏻📸

After buying a second hand canon rp and "strongly persuading" my parents to pitch in for one of my lenses, i have fallen in love with nighttime and landcape photography (in particular waterfalls!) On a recent trip to Iceland a cpl+vnd would have been amazing in almost every situation and would have prevented the small scratch on my 24-105 😢.

I want the 2in1 ND filter. The CP filter gives your photos a whole another looking. Makeing photos with the ability to take away the reflexion is amayzing. And the ND filter is amayzing too because if there is too much light, you pop it on and you can make photos with smaller apeture. I want to use it for outside event, potrait and landscape photography.

This video reminded me why I first got filters in the first place; it was to experiment with my photography.
Sometimes I wish I forget how to take pics because that's when my imagination was at its maximum.
    Great video as always.
