I’m split between staying here (with points) or another resort (with points or $) . It looks nice but the Waldorf just keeps on increasing and increasing the prices of things we want to do. I remember when sandbank dinner was 1600. Now 2600++ :(. The offering are the same so it seems like their taking pure profit.
On points there isn't much better I can think of! With $$ however, I don't think I'd stay here :-). We're leaving for the Maldives again on Monday to try out some other hotels, with 2 of them bookable on points too!

Of all the resorts you've stayed in the Maldives, which one is your most favorite?
It’s hard to pick one because they’re all so different and each has pros and cons, but a mix of Gili Lankanfushi, St Regis, Waldorf Astoria and Velaa would be our dream resort 😍 can’t go wrong with any of those 🙌🏻

What was temp. of the water in the main pool and in the private pool? Cold , warm, hot? I love your vlog!
Great video guys,,but if I was relaxing there I would shoot the old drone down,,it’s not what you need
Haha totally understand! We flew the drone before the restaurant was open, so don't think we disturbed many people, but I get the annoyance with drones. They're noisy and invade your privacy sometimes so we fully stand behind the no-drone policies more and more hotels have in the Maldives!
My family planned to go there when Covid-19 Ends I hope the virus gets end fast!

Just wondering. Did you have to get permission to use a drone. I’m guessing it depends where you are in the resort
Yes, we did. Most Maldives resorts are banning drones nowadays, but you can always ask your butler and he or she will probably give you a timeframe for the area you want to fly in!
How much did the whole trip cost you ?
We actually stayed there for free. I don't think we had any charges at checkout. We did pay for our flights from Brussels to the Maldives though.

what has been your favourite resort in Maldives so far?
Probably Soneva Jani, but we also LOVED St Regis, Gili Lankanfushi and Waldorf Astoria. Might even be forgetting one or two :-) Let me know if you want to book something, I'll put you in touch so you get the best rates and some great additional benefits!
@@laurandnicolas Soneva Jani looks like an absolute dream. The lagoon their looks the prettiest compared to other lagoons in Maldives. It just looks like that beautiful turquoise you expect from Maldives. I also wanted to know what you thought of One&Only and Ritz-Carlton compared to the ones you just mentioned
@@geeunit831 One&Only was one of the first resorts we did in Maldives, so we didn't really have anything to compare it to back then, however we absolutely loved it! You should definitely take a beach villa at O&O, they are so much better than the overwater villas (well, they're pretty much the same, but we had a huge private beach with a great swimming pool and lagoon in front of our villa). As for the Ritz-Carlton, we found it very average. We loved it from a design standpoint, but other than that, you'll find better lagoons, better food, better service, ... in other Maldives resorts.
@@laurandnicolas I was thinking the same thing when looking at One&Only. I'm not a fan of their over water villas but I really like their beach villas with a pool. We are planning on staying at 2 resorts in the Maldives so we were thinking of possibly a beach villa at One&Only and an over water villa at Soneva Jani. I wish we could stay at 4 resorts lol Velaa and Cheval Blanc also look super luxurious 😍
