Everyones talking about being embarrased playing "I hate facebook" before Mitski, but imagine how scared and embarrased she must've felt. Like everyones playing stupid stuff but she's pouring her heart out tht must have been hard
So true, you really get it. Nonetheless there also should’ve been a sense of pride at the same time
You can feel the exposure and vulnerability in the room as she pours herself out
not everyone was playing stupid stuff, this is just a show they had to showcase any music you had, i'm sure she mustve not felt scared because she was performing a lot around that time as well, maybe just in the moment !!

in this performance, i agree, but generally she’s quite different live
in some of her songs, she is fueled with very strong emotions that you can feel in her tone, like in geyser,, however she’s waaaay calmer live (i had to chance to see her concert in paris a few weeks ago!!)

i hold eric really close to my heart because i relate to it more than almost any other mitski song, and oh my god. that performance was absolutely amazing. The desperation and strain in her voice really captures the nature of the song, of wanting to love someone more than they want to. and not to mention liquid smooth pearl diver and door were AMAZING. the bridge in liquid smooth was amazing as always. i really love her
