Players might as well just flip a coin to determine the winner instead of wasting time playing out a game that depends on yogg rng
the problem is that most people seem to like a game which is decided by rng and decks that are easy to obtain and easy to play
the longer i play hs the more i get the feeling of most hs players are playing a acard game but dont actually want to think about what their doing :/
Actually viewership has gone DOWN sense the yogg epidemic because past the first 2 times yogg becomes boring due to becoming the norm while compared to a once a tournament hail marry win which rag is iconic for and because it doesn't happen all that often(rag is still played a lot but his effect doesn't determine the game most of the time).
In shot: If everything is crazy wacky then nothing is.

I understand the concept of Yogg, and can be a fun card, but I don't feel like it should be allowed in such a competitive seen like Blizzcon (But who cares, that's just one persons opinion in a world of billions of people)
***** Exactly! I like the tournament scene because I like to see what players do to really try and counter the overused ladder decks, or if they just bring what they know. Something like Yogg (as you explained, kind of a coinflip on who wins and doesn't rely on skill) doesn't represent how talented that player is. Just how lucky he/she is.

What a lame tournament. The guys using the same fucking decks and a nerfed card. I feel ashamed for this ones. The only one who used different cards is Hamster. And he will probably will win this tournament.

Because Blizzard has money to sponsor it, and viewership will lure more players into the game. Among other, less relevant reasons.
The most RNG-heavy cards are mainly for fun, and don't get played much competitively.
Yogg was the big exception. As this video shows, he's still being used even after his nerf, but he used to appear in virtually every player-decklist.

Nerfs shouldn't kill cards. Now, when someone play Yougg, he can get 10 mana nothing or 10 mana give opponent some cards.

if you can get overloaded by yogg, his spells should count as you playing them, so why antonidas or the 2/4 that deals 2 damage dont see it as you playing the card?
well the overload is not something that happens when being played but rather when being cast as it is part of the card text

Jamil Inumanox well there is a difference between cast and played... if you cast something the card text plays out everything on the cards text is played but if you play it it comes from hand and then is casted, just like how summon and play are different
Also if this explanation does not suffice, think about how op it would be if it did activate those cards

For the love of Kripp...during the past 12 years Blizzard has proven over and over again that the decisions for their games are taken by stale minded egomaniacs. How can a company ignore the desperate cries of a community for such lengthy periods? It's freaking unfathomable. Now just a clarification before organised hate groups rain showers of flame upon me: I'm not trying to criticise the creativity or the quality of the games Blizzard has produced over the past 12 years. I am solely referring to the mindset they do (or don't) have when things in their games get so out of hand that an immediate change is, dare I say, demanded. At times like those they tend to overzealously nerf things so much that they render them virtually useless. For crying out loud go with the middle way for once Blizzard. Try to make Yogg not being able to target himself (itself?) for the first 3 spells and see what happens!!!

Yogg has no middle man. Either it doesn't do enough to help the person who played it, or it does enough to fuck over the opponite to cost them the game. It should just read: Flip a coin, whoever wins wins the game.

Yogg is BS. Its funny to watch and make light of it. But Yogg along with all of shaman has ruined the current standard cycle. I get it the game is at least 40% RNG and 60% skill and yogg is just another rng card, but there isnt another card like it, not even close, the range of hearthstone as far as mobility in standard just sucks till the new expansion and even then yogg will still be part of it so its looking pretty bleak...
