Awesome!! Thankyou! Just made my first of many I think☺️ Other vids didn't mention the P & q thing .. Which for me was what made it all make sense & easier to keep track of where I was up to. I used much thicker sort of silk paracord type cord. It's a beautiful shiny muted gold/fawn. I am a fibre crafts woman so I have HEAPS of thinner thread to use too. Can't wait to see the different results. I haven't finished the adjustable finish today. But first thing tomorrow it will be done👏🏻 Thanks for a brilliant straight forward beginners tutorial. Thanks for your time & effort too😊
Seriously where has this video been!!! I tried about 5 times trying to do this using a picture and written instructions...found this video and now I can do the braid with the whole P Q thing ! Thanks so much.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for making such an easy to follow video!!! I have watched so many of these types of videos and they either go to fast or don't tell you what you need etc. Finally I can make my dang bracelet with easy instructions!!! This is so appreciated!
Love your video. When working with a long needle and a cord that is too short, you can always feed the needle in halfway or so, THEN put the cord through the eye, and finish pulling the needle through. BTW, you're adorable!
just a quick tip, when you are sewing your ends in through the knots, put the needle through the knots first and then insert the cord and then pull, the ends are too short and that is how i wave my tails in when i crochet, excellent job girl, I need one for work and now I know how to mae them! thanks!!
I have just subscribed. And watched my second tutorial! ! I'm HOOKED! Your tutorials are so well done. I'm a beginner and so excited to make some brackets! Thanks so much!
you've probably figured this out by now, but for others I would suggest one thing for when you are weaving your ends back into the bracelet and your thread is too short...(Tip...thread the sharp end up through your loops until the eye of the needle gets closer to your knots without going through them .Then thread your short thread end through the eye of the needle then and pull through.) I do this in crocheting when I didn't leave myself enough yarn to weave my ends in. CUTE Bracelets!
Thank you! The p & q is the easiest way I've ever heard it explained. Macrame always confused me before but not now😉 I see lots of braclets & anklets in my future, even medical alart bracelets!
I just did it completely, love it!! I just had to push and push the needle and watch the roof lots of time for peace...ja!! Its the first video I see using your hiding string technique, Tks!! :)
This was so, so helpful! The easiest tutorial for macabre bracelets that I've seen. Thank you for the help :) I'll definitely send in a picture when I'm finished with mine.
Great video! I'm almost done with my bracelet- I'm making it with 6-strand embroidery floss and it is coming out well- very dainty and pretty. The only problem I had was I had to redo the block in the back because when I tried to thread the string back through I accidentally pushed the needle through the center strands, too, and then it wouldn't slide. Putting the needle in backwards the way you did would have helped.
Recently subscribed, This was well explained, and it can be done in various ways, my head is spinning with ideas now, can't wait to get started. Thank you so much Katinaosity.
@ Jacquie Moran It's colored hemp string. You can get it at a craft store or even Walmart. You could probably use embroidery floss, but it won't hold up as much and it's more difficult to work with.
This is such a great video! Not only was it very informative, but you were also quite funny! I can't wait to make one of these bracelets for myself. I'm inspired! =)
Hi Kat, I came across your site a little while ago and every since then I have gone button mad. I've made all kinds of button bracelets and have had such fun. Thanks for you wonderful way of showing and telling how to do the various techniques. If you have a moment do take a look at my blog to see my take on your inspiration. All the best and thanks for being so generous. Carol
great tutorial! and they are so cute! I have watched so ,any good tutorials but I wonder why they always have music. the music is distracting. the music is usually just as loud as the voice so it is harder to hear. the speaker. also how about using a flexible beading needles with the collapsible Eye?
very nice video. Your instructions are very clear and easy to comprehend. I once had a bracelet similar to this and it came apart. I really liked it so now, thanks to you, I can make myself one. Thanks for sharing your talents. :-)

I am a newbie and wanted to know what size of string I need. Too many kinds and I was not sure. I bought wax cotton cord 60.9 m not sure if that’s the correct material. Thank you for helping.
Hi Kat!! Thanks so much for the tut on these AWESOME bracelets!! (BTW I am with you on the getting stabbed with the needle!! Lol) my question is can you use floss (like the kind for cross stitch?) thanks!!! :) OkieGirl

Would be nice to know the size of the cord, beads, etc. I went to 3 different craft stores and NONE of them had this cord - I was shocked. JoAnn's, Craft Warehouse and Michael's - aggravating.
It's in the aisle with the little girls boxed craft sets. You can get them in packs of a bunch of different colors. Unfortunately if you ask the employees for it, they're not the most thoroughly trained, so they probably aren't much help.
