Paola Franqui, also known as Monaris, is a Puerto Rico born photographer with a passion for visual storytelling. She captures moments that surround us, turning them into scenes from movies that don’t yet exist. She is an Ambassador for Lightroom and Sony and has over 7 years of experience working with brands. What started as a hobby grew to become Paola’s passion and it has changed her life in ways she never could have imagined. Storytelling is a key element she emphasises through both her personal and professional work.
We at Setanta Books, had the pleasure of publishing Monaris' first photography book Momentos in 2021, which is a beautiful collection of her photographs from all around the world in which she attempted to observe and record those decisive moments in time that are often missed.

A beautiful book, with great production. I don't usually like glossy photos, but these are so vivid they sing from the page. This is cleverly contrasted with matte black backing paper. Reminds me of Saul Leiter in several ways, which is a great compliment.
