Discounting the fact that Kirby has faced plenty of entities like Majin Buu before (Dark Matter, Dark Mind, Dark Star, Marx Soul, Magolor, and others), even in times that he was actually weakened (Kirby Mass Attack, which specifically states that Kirby being split up into ten severely weakens him, which could potentially leak into Amazing Mirror, where he was split into 4), discounting the fact that Kirby has amazing feats at his disposal... why would they have the fight last 2 seconds? Look at the SHadow vs Mewtwo fight! People who weren't angry about the results were angry about the fight being so short! They wouldn't have a fight that short because people would be furious about it! It's not good entertainment.
Lord Typh yeah Kirby has defeated gods on multiple occasions, and there was one game where Kirby could call on copy abilities whenever he wanted, so it's not outside help. And if he had the crash or something( that huge explosion), he would be unstoppable. To be fair, though, if it was just a base form battle, Buu would probably win., so there's that...

Even if Buu is stronger than Kirby, Kirby has all the tools to rebound all of Buu's attacks. It's like a fight between a Fire Demon and a bucket of Water. The fire demon is clearly stronger, but water>fire. Also, you're attitude towards this was very negative. There was no outside help, either. Do you really think that those creatures wanted to be eaten? You also seem to not give a single shit about Kirby's abilities. You only care about Buu's.
Anime freak17 There is no "proving" anyone right or wrong on a fictional debate. Their fight results are not "proven", they're predictions. I still think they are right on the main question, "who would win?" I've done my own extensive research and all that debunking can be debunked itself. However to do that I would need to make my own video because explaining it here would take WAY too long, and I'm not tech savvy so I don't make videos. And then after I debunk it as I said someone else would probably debunk me, making it a never ending pointless debate cycle over a fictional fight that can never actually happen. Second of all, literally all of Kirby's final bosses are godly beings that can open portals between dimensions, destroy dimensions and create black holes like it was nothing. Whereas Buu cannot do so without letting his ki go out of control and is incapable of doing so without throwing a tantrum in which he is open to attack. You would know such simple facts if you played the Kirby games, Dragon Ball fanboy. But it's cute of you to try.

It has something to do with it though I did some of the math for it though I was playing kirby super star ultra and he flew on his warp star through 5 different galaxies in about 4.5 seconds using the speed of light, kirbys casual look when riding, average galaxy size, and the time and formula for light he flew about 3.5 billion times the speed of light. Though I am going to have to agree with you they screwed up some major things, but with both of them. While using his travel speed as fighting speed, and yeah buu fought people faster than light but not 3.5 billion times the speed of light. Kirby has been seen to fight on his warp star at its full speed without any copy abilities. Yeah he was eating enemies, which I think he should have just got energy he already had. Kirby btw has beaten more than buu. He beat the creator of the universe. but I don't think he should even be in DEATH battle because it is canon that he cannot die. Screw Attack stated none of this and I'm very upset about it and I know you are a reasonable guy I love your channel, and I'm just here to state facts that would mark the two comparable. The thing with kirby is that people who are supposed to have full control of EVERYTHING could not control kirby for some reason and that's why they try to kill him. Ironically, Kirby is now _SIGNIFICANTLY_ stronger than he was when the original video was made. Canonically, Kirby is the ancient god of destruction with _literally_ *INFINITE POWER* (Planet Robobot says so directly), can break the laws of physics, and kills gods of darkness and chaos just about every other week, then goes to sleep. He once killed one over a slice of cake. The Kirby series is just absolutely ridiculous and he might be the most powerful fictional character in prominent media ever.

Look, as a character, I prefer Buu as a character, but Kirby's feats are so cartoonishly ridiculous, the odds were STAGGERED against Buu from the beginning. Anime freak17 I checked his work. He is indeed correct. If you read his article, he explains both the truths and mistakes Screwattack made. He asks why didn't they use Super Buu. He shows that Buu does win in Durability. AND he shows that Buu bests Kirby in Ki Manipulation. but he also shows where Kirby excels, and while it may have been a different route, the destination would still be the same.
@@uhh345 Kirby is stated as having infinite power in one of the games (which explains why he just gets new powers each and every game)... and also there isn't actually any confirmed way of killing him, I bet if Kirby was actually thrown into a battle that actually posed a threat to his life, he would constantly be getting new upgrades since we've seen similar stuff happen in the games (Star Allies Sparkler is the first thing that comes to mind)
Actually this fight WASN'T bullshit if anything they downplayed Kirby's abilities. I know you made this like 5 years ago so I'll keep that in mind. Kirby is by far the most powerful being in Nintendo canon. He is a being made from a Void Soul. His counterpart Void Termina is a creature that was sealed away for being too terrifying and powerful it threatened the stability of the universe. He survives the destruction of a universe (don't worry there are multiples), casually fights on the event horizon of a black hole, has killed eldritch horrors made of dark matter/dark energy. His power is described by the game to be infinite. In smash bros ultimate he is the only survivor of an attack the size of galaxy. Characters like Sonic, Bayonetta, and even Shulk who killed a god, didn't survive that. People are surprised Kirby is this powerful because in game he can "die" from running into enemy creatures. What they don't know is that's just Kirby canonically getting tired and just giving up, He never actually dies. The game over screen is almost always him sleeping. Nothing has or can really kill him. even when his body is destroyed he becomes a ghost. He's been through planetary explosions, universal upheavals, gravity does barely anything to Kirby. Ah, it's fun to find vids like this, where the person immediately gets angry every time something is done by the other side. Honestly though, they lowballed Buu, but they lowballed the hell out of Kirby as well. Meta Knight has flown at massively faster than light speeds across galaxies in seconds. Kirby fights Meta Knight extremely frequently, and even himself has flown from the galaxy's end to popstar in seconds. In terms of power, Kirby has fought numerous reality warpers on universal scale, and beings like Dark Nebula erased multiple solar systems just from waking up. This wave of energy didn't even make kirby flinch. Best part? All of that is applicable to base kirby. Now for your point of outside help, they said it somewhat terribly, but they DID say that prior enemies eaten could have their powers taken, even if not immediately eaten. It would have been better for them to simply give Kirby his copy essence deluxe, which allows him to freely go between Ice, Cutter, Fire, Fighter Parasol, Beam, Hammer, Sword, Jet, Wheel, Wing, Suplex, Bomb, Stone, Plasma, Yo-yo, Mirror, Ninja, and Copy. The copy Palette as well, allows kirby to bring in five other items outside his Copy Essence deluxe, allowing for items such as the hypernova fruit, other useful copies such as the Ghost form, which allows intangibility and possession, and even potential healing items. They left a number of things out on Buu's side, but I hope you can agree, they left out even more on Kirby's side.
Kirby also has Deluxe abilities and, even in the games, has been shown to use objects to gain copy abilities. He doesn't need to eat the enemy, he just needs the essence.

A black hole could destroy every atom that is Buu, negating his regeneration. Kirby has been turned into a rock and could STILL move and act. Even if Buu hit Kirby with the beam, Kirby wouldn't be taken out. Not to mention he'd just have to use a copy essence and he's back to normal. Kirby has canonically been stated to have infinite power. No amount of blasts from Buu would even scratch Kirby. Heck, Kirby's beat someone with infinite power before.
Anime freak17 No, because that was regular Inhale. Hypernova was what Kirby used at the end of the fight. Kirby wouldn't need to absorb Buu. Except turning Kirby into candy wouldn't work because Kirby can just change back using the copy essences, and Kirby could just teleport away from being absorbed using Ninja. Buu has no way to reliably kill Kirby. Kirby has numerous ways to reliably kill Buu

Regardless of if any character could curb-stomp one character or another, Screwattack isn't going to show that. They could very well just show the two characters meeting in mid-air with a punch, then a giant explosion, and the winner is the one who is still there, but they'll never do that. Why? It wouldn't be very interesting, and many people would get bored really fast, and Death Battle would be no more.

He doesn't even need them, it's more for Buu's benefit since Kirby can just use objects (Yes, he has done this in canon, look at Meta Knight's battles in the series, you're given a sword each time that lets Kirby become Sword Kirby).
No idea why a video this old showed up in my recommended, but it does remind me of those debates i had with people who used "Kirby can die from spikes" as a serious argument clearly not understanding the diffrence between canon strenght and game mechanics. It was frustrating back then, but now i laugh when looking back at it. By the way, in case you didn't know, the main reason Kirby was matched against Buu in the first place was because Death Battle initially wanted to do Kirby vs Ditto from Pokémon, but Ditto was swapped out with Buu both because they had trouble thinking of how to implement Ditto in a vs animation and because they realized after even a little bit of research how horribly outclassed Ditto was. After what happened in this episode, you can probably understand why they felt Ditto would be screwed.

Anime freak17 It is because of how it works for pilots in the Air Force. I've read it somewhere, if I find it again I'll be sure to show you. In the article I read, because of how fast the fighter jets are going, the pilots also have to boost their own reaction speeds. I don't exactly know the ratio, but I think Screwattack was factoring the same thing. Plus, Kirby has been shown to move fast even without his Warp Star.

If you shoot something at him, he can swallow it and then spit it back out at his force. Look at what he did with the cannonballs in the anime episode where Popstar was threaten by a massive asteroid.

This is from the official DBZ encyclopedia: The form uses a Saiyan's full potential with power extracted from every drop of their blood. Where the third stage of Super Saiyan's purpose was 100% utilization of physical stamina, the purpose of the Super Saiyan 3 transformation is to increase the utilization of ki, and as a result, the transformation rapidly consumes the energy of the user. This notably leads to extended levels of fatigue, even long after powering down. If the user has died and is not encumbered by a living body, this strain is reduced somewhat, and additional energy depletion is minimized (such as in Goku's case during his first fight with Majin Buu).
The problem with this battle is simple... kirby is at 1/4 strength and has other abilities that are also useful in this battle never mentioned. Kirby is easily op so op that the universal tournament looks like an all you can eat buffet to kirby

Look, Kirby is MFTL+ on the Warp Star, Buu is FTL. Kirby can destroy a planet with his fist in the manga, Buu relies on projectiles to do so. Kirby has 80+ abilities while Buu has 50+. Kirby tanks hits from a universal level being, Buu has to regenerate from a planet busting attack. Buu's healing factor isn't perfect as shown in the fight with Vegito, where he only own by surprising Vegito. Kirby can suck up pretty much all of Buu's energy based attacks and redirect them. Kirby can use the Copy Essences Deluxe to get all of his abilities, so it's not outside help, while all of Buu's transformations aside from Kid are outside help. There you go, Kirby wins.

Really man, the planet destroyer ball thingy would of destroyed the entire planet, but no death battle didn't make it more interesting. Also when Kid Buu threw the ball Kirby had to use the Hypernova power to hit back the ball.Kid buu's ball is his power he should be able to hit it back.The spirit bomb is from Goku, Vegeta and everyone else in the galaxy so yea that did destroy Buu.But still there's no reason why kid buu lost!

Astonishingly... They actually downplayed Kirby like this. But it's somewhat understandable since the lore's a little Hard to find at times. First, let me clarify some mistakes the episode made. Kirby was only 8 inches tall in the first game canon and probably isn't in the others going by the other ninetendo cameos.... Which is good for buu considering how the coffee candy thing went. They also made some more common mistakes. Pop star is NOT the size of earth. It has multiple small planetoids, moons and at least one STAR in orbit. I am likely not talking about mr shine, although he is a full-size star when not in a bossfight. Popstar has described as a Star itself, which would give it a mass around 33,000 times the size of our earth if it's anything like put sun. Possibly more due to being solid and having other stars in orbit.. In fact in ONE game it was said to have so much life it could be divided into seven full size planets... And was (canvas curse). Dark matter, who has devoured entire planets whole onscreen (kirby 64), can only manage about a fifth (dreamland 3) and is the size of one of these orbiting worlds (dreamland 2). What's more, dividing Kirby (which takes either an actual diety or a sword capable of tearing massive holes in reality) divides his strength(mass attack and amazing mirror), and it only takes a quarter of a Kirby to crack the planet (amazing mirror). This rest is Stuff they didn't know and my own math. Buu is indeed fast. I don't like secondhand power math, so i'll try to use the most direct example i can to measure exactly how fast. While he was DEFINTLTY using instant transmission for his quick rampage at the end of the series, before canon began kid buu destroyed a thousand planets in a few years. If we take that to mean ONE year, that's only slightly less than three planets a day. The average distance between stars is 5 light years we generously assume 1 planet per star system that gives him a speed of around 15 light-years a day, or three trillion seven hundred fifty billion Miles an hour..... And since he was sealed immediately after devouring the Kai and becoming fat buu, it's safe to say he can still do it. And if we don't allow him z-fighters to eat mid combat, he likely hasn't surpassed it. Which isn't QUITE as good as kirby, who can cut across or even BETWEEN galaxies in under an hour. the average distance between galaxies is 13 billion light years, making the warpstar nearly a billion times faster than buu, and Kirby canonically steers and summons it with his mind. This is easily comparable to beerus, who crossed the milky way in a minute in his own series. Additionally, Kirby can deflect stars and event horizons with his breath, play baseball THROUGH entire lines of planets (star allies) and has a history of making planets explode by punching them (crackity hack/gigaton punch, megaton punch) throwing people at them too hard (superstar/superstar ultra), or destroying unthinkable evil on them that takes the planet with it when it explodes (dreamland 3, nightmare in dreamland, return to dreamland, kirby 64, canvas curse, star allies etc). Both can turn enemies into things, (buu with his ray, kirby with cook, bubble, magic, ice and other abilities) but Kirby can shrug off being transformed, change himself back (most games) and even turn it to his advantage (epic yarn, canvas curse). Buu cannot, this was a plot point in dragonball z, and thr only time he's shown the ability was as majuub. Additionly if he IS tranfromed or absorbed Kirby's 'heroic heart' can just emerge and revive him or pull him to safety, like it did when death itself managed to mostly kill Kirby by clever cheating (mass attack). Or even activate a power which would put up a barrier or break him free like ice or stone (sqeak squad). Plus, even as yarn kirby was strong enough to casually throw people between planets. Buu's biggest advantage in dragonball was that he was NOT a typical dbz fighter, he was something too eldritch for the heroes to respond too at first, and even THEN he would have died several times over had he not lucked out (and if goku had decided to take him seeiously as supersaiyan 2). Even his iconic regenerating relies on reforming with the old matter and can be worn down to the point where normal punches damage him. Toriyama himself said kid buu was dangerous because it ignored these limits and fought harder then it could afford to, making it a danger to itself. We even see a hint of this onscreen when he needs to hold back from regenerating his.... head tentacle to leave enough mass out to absorb gohan. Kirby faces NOTHING BUT eldritch nightmares to the point where his main enemy, zero, is a sentient nhilistic parasite dimension that creates the afore-mentioned planet-eating demons as it's weakest attack. And he has MORE than enough tools at the ready, including several which would realistically destroy atoms and have even been shown to work against similar foes in dragonball: e.g sub zero temperature and plasma should destroy atoms and cold has been shown to work on 'squishy' type foes and regenerators before. And just as well on ki-users. And between them, buu really doesn't have anything kirby hasn't seen before. And while destroying a galaxy a planet at a time is impressive, Kirby has survived galaxies being vaporized in a single explosion from ground zero. Twice. (Squeak sqad and star allies) The first time didn't even make him break eye contact and was such a background event most players missed it. Also, while Kirby IS a baby and has judgement problems, he's still smart enough to build an interstellar spaceship without blueprints in a few minutes and instantly master any ability or vehicle. He may not know the full extent of his powers, but neither does buu, who genuinely didn't know veggeto hadn't been absorbed until he started losing powers. Also, flavour text of the Kirby games says Kirby has infinite power. It isn't hyperbole. Kirby can give OTHER PEOPLE permanent copy abilities, empower ancient artifacts turn everyday objects into evil-destroying weapons by wielding them and once sucked up a laser made of the life force of dreamland, drained potentially to death (see the above seven planets thing) and then shot it back stronger. The plot of planet robobot happened because kirby empowered the mech-suit, not the other way around. Star dream, an omniscient super computer built by the ancients and capable of rewriting reality with pure intellect was shown to know things it is physically inpossible to know such as knowing of and being capable of summoning galacta knight (who was so dangerous he was sealed outside franchise canon by by his jailors, so his every appearance is officially the first time anyone's heard of him according to the creators. Yes, Kirby lore is weird). When he tried to create a copy of kirby's foe dark matter, he could only make an inferior shadow, and when he tried to calculate kirby's power he had a horrified breakdown. And given recent games, there's a darn good reason they both defied analysis like that.....
kirby would destroy buu with little to no effort and the fight between buu vs kirby hasn't been debunked at all because they never talked about any of kirbys new power ups

I still think they are right on the main question, "who would win?" I've done my own extensive research and all that debunking can be debunked itself. Second of all, literally all of Kirby's final bosses are godly beings that can open portals between dimensions, destroy dimensions and create black holes like it was nothing.

It has something to do with it though I did some of the math for it though I was playing kirby super star ultra and he flew on his warp star through 5 different galaxies in about 4.5 seconds using the speed of light, kirbys casual look when riding, average galaxy size, and the time and formula for light he flew about 3.5 billion times the speed of light. While using his travel speed as fighting speed, and yeah buu fought people faster than light but not 3.5 billion times the speed of light. His power is described by the game to be infinite. In smash bros ultimate he is the only survivor of an attack the size of galaxy. Characters like Sonic, Bayonetta, and even Shulk who killed a god, didn't survive that. People are surprised Kirby is this powerful because in game he can "die" from running into enemy creatures. What they don't know is that's just Kirby canonically getting tired and just giving up, He never actually dies. The game over screen is almost always him sleeping. Nothing has or can really kill him. even when his body is destroyed he becomes a ghost. He's been through planetary explosions, universal upheavals, gravity does barely anything to Kirby. Ah, it's fun to find vids like this, where the person immediately gets angry every time something is done by the other side. Honestly though, they lowballed Buu, but they lowballed the hell out of Kirby as well. Meta Knight has flown at massively faster than light speeds across galaxies in seconds. Kirby fights Meta Knight extremely frequently, and even himself has flown from the galaxy's end to popstar in seconds. In terms of power, Kirby has fought numerous reality warpers on universal scale, and beings like Dark Nebula erased multiple solar systems just from waking up. This wave of energy didn't even make kirby flinch. Best part? All of that is applicable to base kirby.
Now for your point of outside help, they said it somewhat terribly, but they DID say that prior enemies eaten could have their powers taken, even if not immediately eaten. It would have been better for them to simply give Kirby his copy essence deluxe, which allows him to freely go between Ice, Cutter, Fire, Fighter Parasol, Beam, Hammer, Sword, Jet, Wheel, Wing, Suplex, Bomb, Stone, Plasma, Yo-yo, Mirror, Ninja, and Copy.
The copy Palette as well, allows kirby to bring in five other items outside his Copy Essence deluxe, allowing for items such as the hypernova fruit, other useful copies such as the Ghost form, which allows intangibility and possession, and even potential healing items. They left a number of things out on Buu's side, but I hope you can agree, they left out even more on Kirby's side.

Regardless of if any character could curb-stomp one character or another, Screwattack isn't going to show that. They could very well just show the two characters meeting in mid-air with a punch, then a giant explosion, and the winner is the one who is still there, but they'll never do that. Why? It wouldn't be very interesting, and many people would get bored really fast, and Death Battle would be no more.

No idea why a video this old showed up in my recommended, but it does remind me of those debates i had with people who used "Kirby can die from spikes" as a serious argument clearly not understanding the diffrence between canon strenght and game mechanics. It was frustrating back then, but now i laugh when looking back at it.
By the way, in case you didn't know, the main reason Kirby was matched against Buu in the first place was because Death Battle initially wanted to do Kirby vs Ditto from Pokémon, but Ditto was swapped out with Buu both because they had trouble thinking of how to implement Ditto in a vs animation and because they realized after even a little bit of research how horribly outclassed Ditto was. After what happened in this episode, you can probably understand why they felt Ditto would be screwed.

Anime freak17 It is because of how it works for pilots in the Air Force. I've read it somewhere, if I find it again I'll be sure to show you. In the article I read, because of how fast the fighter jets are going, the pilots also have to boost their own reaction speeds. I don't exactly know the ratio, but I think Screwattack was factoring the same thing. Plus, Kirby has been shown to move fast even without his Warp Star.

If you shoot something at him, he can swallow it and then spit it back out at his force. Funny how even after all this time Kirby just kept getting even more stupidly strong. Kirby literally hit a huge asteroid so hard with a baseball bat it went 10,000 light years in about 20 seconds, and this isn’t even one of his strongest feats. At this point Kirby solos pretty much everything.

Look, Kirby is MFTL+ on the Warp Star, Buu is FTL. Kirby can destroy a planet with his fist in the manga, Buu relies on projectiles to do so. Kirby has 80+ abilities while Buu has 50+. Kirby tanks hits from a universal level being, Buu has to regenerate from a planet busting attack. Buu's healing factor isn't perfect as shown in the fight with Vegito, where he only own by surprising Vegito. Kirby can suck up pretty much all of Buu's energy based attacks and redirect them. Kirby can use the Copy Essences Deluxe to get all of his abilities, so it's not outside help, while all of Buu's transformations aside from Kid are outside help. There you go, Kirby wins.
Buu isn't even FTL. So far as I know, only Dyspo has been confirmed faster than light in any way.

Really man, the planet destroyer ball thingy would of destroyed the entire planet, but no death battle didn't make it more interesting. Also when Kid Buu threw the ball Kirby had to use the Hypernova power to hit back the ball.Kid buu's ball is his power he should be able to hit it back.The spirit bomb is from Goku, Vegeta and everyone else in the galaxy so yea that did destroy Buu.But still there's no reason why kid buu lost!

Astonishingly... They actually downplayed Kirby like this. But it's somewhat understandable since the lore's a little Hard to find at times.
First, let me clarify some mistakes the episode made.
Kirby was only 8 inches tall in the first game canon and probably isn't in the others going by the other ninetendo cameos.... Which is good for buu considering how the coffee candy thing went.
They also made some more common mistakes. Pop star is NOT the size of earth. It has multiple small planetoids, moons and at least one STAR in orbit. I am likely not talking about mr shine, although he is a full-size star when not in a bossfight. Popstar has described as a Star itself, which would give it a mass around 33,000 times the size of our earth if it's anything like put sun. Possibly more due to being solid and having other stars in orbit.. In fact in ONE game it was said to have so much life it could be divided into seven full size planets... And was (canvas curse). Dark matter, who has devoured entire planets whole onscreen (kirby 64), can only manage about a fifth (dreamland 3) and is the size of one of these orbiting worlds (dreamland 2).
What's more, dividing Kirby (which takes either an actual diety or a sword capable of tearing massive holes in reality) divides his strength(mass attack and amazing mirror), and it only takes a quarter of a Kirby to crack the planet (amazing mirror).
This rest is Stuff they didn't know and my own math.
Buu is indeed fast. I don't like secondhand power math, so i'll try to use the most direct example i can to measure exactly how fast. While he was DEFINTLTY using instant transmission for his quick rampage at the end of the series, before canon began kid buu destroyed a thousand planets in a few years. If we take that to mean ONE year, that's only slightly less than three planets a day. The average distance between stars is 5 light years we generously assume 1 planet per star system that gives him a speed of around 15 light-years a day, or three trillion seven hundred fifty billion Miles an hour..... And since he was sealed immediately after devouring the Kai and becoming fat buu, it's safe to say he can still do it. And if we don't allow him z-fighters to eat mid combat, he likely hasn't surpassed it.
Which isn't QUITE as good as kirby, who can cut across or even BETWEEN galaxies in under an hour. the average distance between galaxies is 13 billion light years, making the warpstar nearly a billion times faster than buu, and Kirby canonically steers and summons it with his mind. This is easily comparable to beerus, who crossed the milky way in a minute in his own series.
Additionally, Kirby can deflect stars and event horizons with his breath, play baseball THROUGH entire lines of planets (star allies) and has a history of making planets explode by punching them (crackity hack/gigaton punch, megaton punch) throwing people at them too hard (superstar/superstar ultra), or destroying unthinkable evil on them that takes the planet with it when it explodes (dreamland 3, nightmare in dreamland, return to dreamland, kirby 64, canvas curse, star allies etc).
Both can turn enemies into things, (buu with his ray, kirby with cook, bubble, magic, ice and other abilities) but Kirby can shrug off being transformed, change himself back (most games) and even turn it to his advantage (epic yarn, canvas curse). Buu cannot, this was a plot point in dragonball z, and thr only time he's shown the ability was as majuub.
Additionly if he IS tranfromed or absorbed Kirby's 'heroic heart' can just emerge and revive him or pull him to safety, like it did when death itself managed to mostly kill Kirby by clever cheating (mass attack). Or even activate a power which would put up a barrier or break him free like ice or stone (sqeak squad). Plus, even as yarn kirby was strong enough to casually throw people between planets.
Buu's biggest advantage in dragonball was that he was NOT a typical dbz fighter, he was something too eldritch for the heroes to respond too at first, and even THEN he would have died several times over had he not lucked out (and if goku had decided to take him seeiously as supersaiyan 2). Even his iconic regenerating relies on reforming with the old matter and can be worn down to the point where normal punches damage him. Toriyama himself said kid buu was dangerous because it ignored these limits and fought harder then it could afford to, making it a danger to itself. We even see a hint of this onscreen when he needs to hold back from regenerating his.... head tentacle to leave enough mass out to absorb gohan.
Kirby faces NOTHING BUT eldritch nightmares to the point where his main enemy, zero, is a sentient nhilistic parasite dimension that creates the afore-mentioned planet-eating demons as it's weakest attack. And he has MORE than enough tools at the ready, including several which would realistically destroy atoms and have even been shown to work against similar foes in dragonball: e.g sub zero temperature and plasma should destroy atoms and cold has been shown to work on 'squishy' type foes and regenerators before. And just as well on ki-users.
And between them, buu really doesn't have anything kirby hasn't seen before.
And while destroying a galaxy a planet at a time is impressive, Kirby has survived galaxies being vaporized in a single explosion from ground zero. Twice. (Squeak sqad and star allies) The first time didn't even make him break eye contact and was such a background event most players missed it.
Also, while Kirby IS a baby and has judgement problems, he's still smart enough to build an interstellar spaceship without blueprints in a few minutes and instantly master any ability or vehicle. He may not know the full extent of his powers, but neither does buu, who genuinely didn't know veggeto hadn't been absorbed until he started losing powers.
Also, flavour text of the Kirby games says Kirby has infinite power. It isn't hyperbole. Kirby can give OTHER PEOPLE permanent copy abilities, empower ancient artifacts turn everyday objects into evil-destroying weapons by wielding them and once sucked up a laser made of the life force of dreamland, drained potentially to death (see the above seven planets thing) and then shot it back stronger. The plot of planet robobot happened because kirby empowered the mech-suit, not the other way around.
Star dream, an omniscient super computer built by the ancients and capable of rewriting reality with pure intellect was shown to know things it is physically inpossible to know such as knowing of and being capable of summoning galacta knight (who was so dangerous he was sealed outside franchise canon by by his jailors, so his every appearance is officially the first time anyone's heard of him according to the creators. Yes, Kirby lore is weird). When he tried to create a copy of kirby's foe dark matter, he could only make an inferior shadow, and when he tried to calculate kirby's power he had a horrified breakdown.
And given recent games, there's a darn good reason they both defied analysis like that.....

Hey it's me you know I actually agree with this outcome it does make sense though I am sensing a pattern in terms of dbz fights considering me Satan is the only one to win a fight that is fair in that channel
If you wanna debate this id love to let's just keep it civil though the speed and stength feats are far off the durability is accurate plus they do have some good points like Kirby being able to swallow anything buu throws at him and spit it right back at him plus Kirby did punch the planet in half so you know plus throwing a frying pan to the sun which takes a lot of power plus and I may be wrong but I think some Kirby villains are universe busters though I would need to look it up galaxy busters at least so he could technically match his power but durability he did tank a planet sized explosion but then again freeza did the same thing while cut in half without a scratch and buy is far more powerful then freeza but that Dosent really matter because Kirby could just suck buu up and even if it's only a part of buu that still give Kirby the option to have buus' moves and powers so yeah it does make sense because for once screwattack used well researched evidence mostly except for buu

Yes kirby wins, but I would say only because of hypernova and warp star, if it's kirby vs kid buu with nothing but their base power magic and physical capabilities (kirby can still use basic upgrades) kid buu would have a bit of trouble but end up knocking him down and destroying the planet with kirby on it killing him
