Flash flood emergency in Broward County, Florida. High water stalling cars on the roads in Hollywood and Hallandale Beach. Homes and neighborhoods swamped.

Pool noodles cut in half , just slide under door bottom will seal water out. Even garage doors. Custom cut to fit.

They think they can drive their car into these areas. We saw several what were floating like bobbers. A clue folks, you're not supposed to drive though water fast and more importantly, at all if you don't know if there is a hole in the pavement.

I lived in Hollywood, FL east of US 1 from Nov 1955 to Nov 2005 and never saw any flooding. I moved because too many people were moving into the once beautiful city we had and too much concrete and asphalt was being laid on the ground. When the politicians began to prefer money over safety, that is when I moved. I saw the beginning of disaster. Politicians allowed greedy land developers to fill in marsh land and land where the run off water used to drain and build houses and tall buildings to the point that the sewer drains are not able to handle the flooding. Even though I am not pleased with were I live now, I am happy that I had enough foresight to leave when I did. Never, never when I lived in Hollywood all of the 50 years was there any horror like there is now. Too many people, too many vehicles, too much concrete, and NO DRAINAGE. Nature is taking back Florida from the greedy politicians, land developers, and investors. Where did the City Engineers go or are there only uneducated people left?
