Mårten Falk plays Manuel Ponce: Variations and Fugue on La Folia

Recorded at Sörhamra Farm in Sweden where I live with my family, 35 chicken, 10 sheep, 2 pigs, 5 cats and 1 dog. We grow our own vegetables and try to live as enviromentaly friendly as possible.
I am performing Manuel M Ponce's masterpiece Variations sur "La Folia de España" which he wrote, while living in Paris, in collaboration with Maestro Andrés Segovia in the late 1920s-early 1930s. At this time Ponce was studying with Prof. Paul Dukas at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris - incidentally I studied this very piece at this very school with another Ponce - Maestro Alberto Ponce - seventy years later.
The guitar I use is my beloved José L Romanillos from 1980 "La Santiago".
