@@newsuperbowserworld I also love the start screen a lot , the sad thing is that the general mass didn't like it and criticized it, so that's why I said that if they packed this start menu alongside the start screen in windows 8/8.1 the criticism could've been avoided, also they should've kept the start button /
windows button because that's what made people hate windows 8 from the start

You mean…. the whole issue of Windows 8… could have been avoided in the first place. They had the choice to have an operating system with an almost perfect UI on both desktop / laptop and touchscreen devices. Just have the option to choose what menu to use.
Also I kinda like how the start menu looks here. Its somewhere between Windows 7 and 10, its pretty nice.

The combination between the Windows 7 menu and Live Tiles was awesome and super useful - combining the prior’s optimization with the latter’s information display (literally just modern iOS widgets long before their time).
It was truly the best of both words and now it’s just. Not. :(

Also, I used 8.1 on my laptop in high school. People loved to complain about 8, but it wasn't bad once you got used to it. Basically 7 but with a different UI. I miss its splicity compared to 11.
