I know. Cancer of any kind is no joke. Had his not gone into remission....I shudder,I love Raphael and Donatello and Pinky and all his voice over work and they my...OUR childhood.
This is the best! I have cancer, I also vlog my terminal cancer journey and I always use humour and fun to try bring a smile to me and others around me! Inspirational!
I completely respect Rob's decision not to say anything when he went through his cancer. You don't want anyone treating you any differently than how they used to treat you. Being at work is a GREAT distraction from the problem that's within you, and I think that's how Rob approached it. Heck, that's how my supervisor dealt with it when she battled her cancer for 9 years.
Rob is a legend, and so is Butch. The fact that Rob lived through all this and still has his impressions down perfectly and his humor after all these years just warms my heart. It's like hearing Ryan Drummond voicing as Sonic again. Happy Valentine's Day (& Ash Wednesday)!
When I found it he had had cancer I cried on my mother's shoulder for who knows how long. I'm so glad he's still here, and that I actually got to tell him how much I love him when he came to Long Beach, CA last year. Love that man.
This kind of makes me sad I’m glad he’s still alive he’s a huge part of my childhood from reruns of the 87 tmnt to jimmy neutron and so much more I can’t even name. this is why you always have to be thankful that you’re healthy. I lost my great ant from cancer
sad story: i lost my grandfather to cancer. :'( :'( and then i had to put my best friend/lioness down. :'( :'( update: Rob is a inspiration to me!!!! he also did my fave turtle's voice!!!!!!! :) :) :)
Man I just got to meet rob Paulson one month ago. He such an amazing person in real life. I will never forget him. I'm happy to hear that he beat lung cancer. My mom had cancer and is now been cancer free for 5 years. God is great. You rock rob keep up the great work.
As someone who lost his dad to liver cancer just 3 years ago, I am really glad you have overcome it. Never stop fighting! My dad was given 6 months but we fought and he never lost his laughter (in fact, despite being 60, he loved watching Ninja Turtles, old cartoons like pinky and the brain and cosmo and wanda) and instead of 6 months he made it for 1 1/2 years. also please, take it as a lesson and go to the doc more frequently. a lot of stuff can be prevented when noticed early. lots of love and of course respect for your work, Rob, next to people like Troy Baker, Mark Hamill and Nolan North, you are irreplaceable in the world of voice acting!
Jeaze man, anyone who's lived through that is a hero in my book. I have a family history of cancer, and it is no joke. Much love for you, Rob Paulsen, and the voices you portray. I grew up with your art, and I cannot imagine a world without you and your voice.
I... I didn't had ANY idea Rob was dealing with such a tough situation... yes, I know he kept it private, but... oh gosh... Rob, you seem to be such an awesome guy, seeing this interview was a pleasure to watch!. I've always loved cartoons for many reasons, but one of the most important ones is that they've been helping me dealing with a lot of stuff... people might say we live inside a bubble, heck... I know where I stand, I know awful things happens... but we're here to be as happy as we can... doing and enjoying the things we love pull us through. I'm so happy Rob is doing much better nowadays, keep taking care! I hope to be able to thank you in person how much inspiration you've given to many generations. And the same goes for you Butch... you've also dealt with a lot of harsh stuff and yet... you're still moving, creating, having fun, that has all my respect and admiration. Sorry for this long rant... kudos to anyone who read it! :3
I never knew this. Omg. I really just dropped everything and was paying 110% complete attention to this. I mean for one, Been really gettin hooked on this channel and everything Hartman has been doing. I also just love it when Hartman and Paulsen are together! But oh god, I just freaked out once I read the title, was just constant questioning myself, "...He does not have cancer.... right?!?!" It was just kinda heartbreaking to hear but then almost instantly just inspiring. You guys maybe voice or create heroes. But moments like this make you into real heroes. When you stand strong in the face of something like that, You inspire others to not fear what is to come. Thank you Paulsen and Hartman. You guys continue to inspire people to this day. Love you all!
mikebud420 I totally agree😟😓😳. I had no idea but did think he looked a bit frail (though nothing wrong with that wonderful voice). Wow. Terry eyed but so glad he’s okay. Meeting him is on a major bucket list. Now just trying to calm down my pounding heart 😓
What an EXCELLENT human being. I love that man. So glad he beat the cancer. Rob has inspired me in many ways, but this one takes the cake. Here's to your continued health.
I'm glad he's doing well and also is great to see him again,Yakko from Animaniacs,625/Reuben from Lilo and Stitch and Ditto from Ben 10 are my favorites Robert Paulsen roles,Huge fan from Italy.
Oh my god. This was beyond incredible. When he mentioned those he told I nearly started to cry. Especially Maurice. All of our friends are so dear but I really feel that those two are so close😢😢😢.
I’m so glad he’s better. He’s made me laugh my whole life. I love him like that one really cool uncle that only shows up once in a while, but always gives you the coolest presents.
Your voice got me through school being bullied and now at 45 I'm about to finish my MBA and dedicate it to you rob. You made being a nerd cool and glade your well again
It is not easy for me to explain how much I love and respect this man. For many years he's been such an inspiration for a lot of people, me included, always bringing laughs and joy to the audience. This is the kind of people who are just too good for this world, the people who we should always listen to. I truly believe there isn't a single selfish bone in his body : he's incredibly kind, 0 egocentric, he donated to and supported a lot of charities for a long time... In a sentence, he's what we can call an "example" for everyone. And like everybody else in this world, Rob didn't deserve the terrible disease he went through. I'm glad to hear that he's now fine and still in treatment. I dealt and suffered from my grandmother's cancer for years. Unfortunately, she hadn't been able to have the hopeful and positive spirit this man and many other cancer fighters have, in order to beat the disease. I admire Rob every single day, not only for everything he does but also for who he is, the type of person he is. And I don't think I only speak for myself when I say he inspires me to be a better person!
He was my childhood, no, you *both* are my childhood, thank you both for the tough times on your guys' shows that helped my through out the years(accept Rob is more active on twitter😂❤)
Great interview! Thank you Rob for sharing your story. I was diagnosed with Breast cancer in August of 2016 and am 6 months out from my last treatment. I truly believe that keeping a good attitude and staying positive was a huge factor in me beating cancer. So happy you are doing well!
Once again, Rob Paulsen is absolutely one of the best people on Earth. I try to live like that every day. Every time I have a problem in my life, it annoys me for a little while but I always tell myself to put it in perspective. I have never had to deal with such a huge problem like that, and I hope neither he nor anyone else have to go through it again... or at all. And through it all, he's still as sharp and as witty and as funny as ever. We all need a Rob Paulsen in our lives, man. We should also strive to BE one. Thank you so much for all your work, Rob.
I'm not crying you're crying shut up. I grew up hearing Paul as my favorite cartoon characters. Ninja Turtles was my lifeblood. Animaniacs was my soul. Thank you Paul and thank you for fighting so hard to keep going.
Rob is such a genuine gift to the world, I'm so thankful for his voice and thankful to say he was a big part of my childhood. Seeing him on Speech Bubble makes me wonder if we'll see Butch on Talkin' Toons!
Even though I never knew much about this until earlier last year, I am so grateful to God that Rob is still alive and doing very well. And what I really like about him along with the way he treats his fans and his voicework is that he maintained a positive attitude, especially after fighting stage 3 throat cancer. I can also understand the tough time he’s had, as I had an aunt who lost her fight with ovarian cancer five years ago. To me, like many other voice actors, Rob Paulsen has served as an inspiration to me as an aspiring voice actor, and I can’t imagine the world not being the same way without him or his voice. :’) You’re in my prayers, Rob. Never stop laughing.
I wish for your future health to be the best that it can be Rob Paulsen! Thank goodness that you're in remission Rob! Thank you for your hard work and efforts and your future works.
Surprised nobody mentions the show "Bump in the night" which Rob Paulsen voiced the character "Squishington". Good to know he's doing well hate to lose him, Rapheal is my favorite Ninja Turtle from my early childhood, interested in seeing which direction he help steers Rise of the TMNT in the future
Rob is such a great human being along with you. Thanks for the amazing speech bubble podcasts! These are so great and it makes remembering or rewatching my childhood cartoons even better!
So I had the opportunity to meet .rob at a convention in Utah, he was late but did a quick meet, and greet to make it up to the people. still standing in line rob even loved the Rafael tmnt collectible, I had he even wrote turtle power, on it i was so happy to meet rob :)
Rob, My name is Tian and I am 13 but no one really cares about my age but anyway, I'm praying for you to get better and you did so many voices in so many cartoons and Donatello in Tmnt( witch I'm totally absent with). And I really hope and pray u get better. U are the man, and God bless!😄
Also my aunt is currently going through something that bad and the outlook isn't as good as what it sounds like Robs was. But not something that needs to be spread around
This is gonna sound weird, but what does it mean that his cancer is in remission? (please I don't to start any arguments, I just want to know what it means, and to know that our beloved Rob Paulsen will be okay, also it's not like I'm a doctor)
Thank God Rob's cancer is in remission. After making so many people happy for 30 years and counting, I have no idea what we'd ever do without him.
I know. Cancer of any kind is no joke. Had his not gone into remission....I shudder,I love Raphael and Donatello and Pinky and all his voice over work and they my...OUR childhood.

You better be joking. The whole video talks about him dealing with cancer. It’s in the title and everything.
Baby Lamb Creations sorry my mistake don't bite my head off for crying out loud

I already ate. XD
All is forgiven. Everyone makes mistakes, after all.
I'm glad Ron is still alive. Glad he used humor to beat cancer. Such a wonderful person.
Oh my god.... I'm glad that he's still alive.
Amen
Rob Paulsen & Animaniacs changed the lives of & brought joy to so many generations on a level i dont think even he can comprehend.
This is the best! I have cancer, I also vlog my terminal cancer journey and I always use humour and fun to try bring a smile to me and others around me! Inspirational!
+PeeWeeToms I'm sorry. Hope you get better!
Prayers and thoughts for you, my friend. ❤️
His voice was and will always be incredeble
Thank god he survived cancer and still making cartoons to this day!
That title scared the shit out of me, so glad he kept it a secret from his fans, how heart broken we'd be. Glad your cancer was in remission
But he should’ve told us from the get go. At least it shows honesty.
@@dannythomas417 no he shouldnt if he chooses not to he has no obligation to share personal health info with fans

I think Rob just stole John DiMaggio’s place in my heart.
And Jess Harnell stole David Herman too. They should’ve done Walt’s younger brothers.
I pray Rob keeps on truckin.
