that was the show when i heard Floor for the first time and i think a lot of dutchies too after this show she did a solo tour through the Netherlands and every single show was sold out now she is a famous person in the Netherlands
as it should be for her
Floor is so magical, when people first hear her voice, we all get that look. I remember my first time hearing her voice, was in total disbelief that a human could sing that beautifully and powerfully, then the Nightwish and Floor journey began and don't regret a moment.

Tim Akkerman did say he knew of Floor's singing career although he was in a rock band and not metal. He's the only one that knew her. The funny thing is the female singer in the backing band is also singing that song with her.
You could watch the episode 4. Everyone's singing to floor. You really get to know her and the singers.

I've been following Floor's career for nearly 20 years now (ever since I was 13) and I was always so shocked that hardly anyone in the Netherlands had heard of her. So happy that's she's finally getting the recognition she deserves in her home country.
Henk was the first of the whole show to be sung to and Floor the very first singer ….and she raised the bar for all the others. Lovely song, great singer! ☺️🌷🌷🌷🌷
Floor really is a once in a lifetime vocalist. Nothing comes remotely close to the beauty of her voice and the way and it makes me feel.

Probably one of my favorite episodes of ‘Beste Zangers’. This group of people was pure magic. Feeling the chemistry between them, the respect and the openness was a joy to watch.
This whole show concept is wonderful. No trash talk or other nonsense that you see in American-style singing competitions. Just mutual respect and low key competition where the group member being sung to each episode names the singer who most impressed them at the end and everybody applauds.

Greetings from The Netherlands. I think if I am correct Henk Poort didn't know Floor either. Tim did from the dutch music circuit. The female backup singer (From the Marcel Fisser Band) Lesley I think her name was knows Floor from the "Rock Academie" in Tilburg.
As a German, I can say that I understood almost every word Floor sang in opera German.
And apparently, if I understood that correctly, this was the first time ever that she sang in german.
Absolutely amazing.
Here Floor has raised the bar for the entire show with the first appearance. I bet the people in her homeland who didn't know her, they certainly underestimated by far. Oh God how bad it gets when a woman from this metal genre suddenly sings opera. What is she doing to us here? And then the woman gets going. 😁

Singt ein Amerikaner in Englisch verstehen es die Amerikaner. Singt z.B. Floor in englisch verstehen das viele Amerikaner nicht. Seltsamerweise aber alle Ausländer die englisch gelernt haben.
Das ich als Deutscher also kaum Schwierigkeiten habe ihre Worte zu verstehen ist also ein Kompliment, während es bei dir beinah eine Selbstverständlichkeit sein sollte sie zu verstehen. Kommst du mit der Logik hinterher? Ich kann nicht erklären warum das so ist, aber es ist so. Das ist Sprachwissenschaft.

Floor singt so gut in Deutsch, das auch nicht Deutscher die Deutsch sprechen können aber Opera-Deutsch nicht gewohnt sind, es auch gut verstehen können.

Decipher is such a great record. Even now 20 years later still one of my favorite albums of all time.

@@HighlyCombustibleReacts Nightwish was definitely tailor-made for the big stage for sure! And to echo what you said in your comments, I can vouch that in my own public speaking experiences, I much prefer giving the real presentation on the full "stage" in front of the actual assembly of listeners. Much more at ease that way. The "practice" sessions, in front of a small group, I always hated with a passion because the atmosphere feels more like it is a "make believe" performance, and I could never get mentally grounded in that environment. I assume that singing performances are somewhat similar in that regard. So I understand what Floor and yourself mean! Rock on, brother!

Well, Floor was actually a big name in the relatively small Dutch metal scene. After Forever where she was the lead singer was already amazing, ReVamp again amazing….and to be hones happy she was some time a little bit just for us Dutch metalheads. Already telling people for some years we have prove that angels actually sing metal :-) Now we are so proud of our Floortje taking over the world. But, she is one of the angles. Listen to a band like Epica or Within Temptation will show you that the real angel voices are coming from The Netherlands. Keep making the reaction videos please…enjoying it very much. Floor is such a great singer, I love the way she sounds: always, every day. In this clip you see Floor doing Vilja in her own way. Maybe you could look up Samantha Steenwijk doing “Ik ben altijd dicht bij jou”, a song she sang too Floor. Beautiful and powerfull and her twist on the song is magnificent.

Now floor is one of the most famous singer of Holland but it all thanks to this television program .. As you know paul i am a big music fan so i thit know Nightwish and floor. But they music of Nightwish isn't my thing just like whitin temptation . But i deeply respect floor as well Charon and there voices. So De beste zanger show whas a nice way to learn floor better. They really didn't seem to understand who was about to sing for them. I can thank Germany for a proper word to describe the moment the realization set in for them... Schadenfreude. Henk was really the only one who appeared to lack all preconceptions, and that makes me like him even more than I already did.
