The creepypasta drinking game: take a shot everytime the main character dismisses a bad feeling and continues to do something stupid.

Of all the readers on this genre I've heard from, you remain one of my favorites. You usually lull a person into a very relaxed state as they take in the story....and the resulting suckerpunch of where the story turns scary is all the more potent for it.
Magnificent work, and consistently done. I hope to one day be able to boast the same skill.

Wow this was such a good scary story! At the end when he heard the screeching sound louder than ever before, my heart started racing & when you said he didn't have to open his eyes to know where it was coming from,it was coming from inside the tent, I got chills all over!
Awesome job narrating this Otis! I know it's an older one but I'm glad I ran across it for sure!!

I know this video is very old, with the most recent comment being 6 months ago, but I just wanted to get out how I feel about this video. (Warning, long read.)
I’ve been a fan of Otis Jiry for about two years now, I only was obsessed for like a month, bite after exhausting his catalogue of stories 20+ minutes, I sorta just lost interest in watching his other videos, and have just rewatched his other videos a lot. I discovered him through a “good creepypasta” playlist on RUclips, and thought his voice sounded good, so I watched his other videos first, Saving this for later.
But when I finally got to this story, I noticed a strange phenomenon. My brain just cannot focus on this story. I don’t mean “this story is just so relaxing,” or anything, I mean it’s like my brain tunes the story out. Whenever I’m studying or writing a paper, I turn on this video, knowing that it’ll help me focus better. I have not experienced this with any of his other work, and honestly, it freaks me out a little how weirdly this story affects my concentration.

Hi Brian. I wrote this, and I come from Scotland. I would say it depends on the terrain and if you are exploring or not, like Robert is in the story. Also, he is deliberately taking routes to avoid towns and villages, which is absolutely possible in some areas in Scotland. I think there is also the suggestion that he is doubling back on himself in places. I will admit though, I have exaggerated the distances to heighten his journey into the unknown, but all of the places I describe here exist in real life. I've been to them all. Interestingly, the story itself comes from an experience I actually had wild camping in Queen Elizabeth forest. There was a strange noise which seemed to get closer to my camp each night, and while it was probably an animal I've never heard before, it became the jumping off point for Off the Beaten Path.
      Thanks for commenting :)

      Hi Micheal,
I did have a good think about the geography of Scotland,& yes there are some very remote places.I was being a little pedantic.I really enjoyed the story,& it was genuinely creepy and atmospheric in places. It reminded me of an old early 80's tv series called West Country Tales. Thanks for responding and i'll keep an eye out for more of your stories.
