I was excited for this week, I have the Porsche fully upgraded and VIP (love that car). I cracked into C, checked the leader boards and it’s all Mercedes and BMW at the top. I resolved to be the top Porsche haha

ME, is there any chance you could show a run with the Porsche too? I get it’s not the fastest car this week, but I think it’s likely the most common to be fully upgraded. Thanks for all you do!
I don’t have the time. Best thing to do is find someone who did a run in it and race their ghost. First do the best reasonable time you can. Then back out of the race so you’re looking at all the list of times that have been placed. There are three different lists you can view, choose the one on the far right, four small squares. If you’re in group D or group C you will definitely find Porsches in the list. Pick one of the best guys and do a ghost challenge. Then you can learn from their lines.
I actually just did this in the McLaren F1 GTR time trial. Found out I was losing 1 whole second on the last 2 corners alone. I made some adjustments and have a group A time there now. I will quite possibly get a double group A finish this week. 😃
I used M4 Experience to get to Group A. Bus stop corner is crucial. To me it seems like giving a short gas off between brake and gas helps.
I Used the Porsche which is almost maxed out and I increased my price to 18 gold
With Porsche it's very easy to get Group C but not more than that I think. I spend half the currency on the gold upgrades because of the sale and it's worth it.
Also it has exclusive series which you get your Gold back
Hello ME7, I've realized that we haven't seen that much of Brands hatch recently and any special events or new racing series.🤔 I honestly can't really remember the last time I ran a race there.😅 Also I'm looking forward to your AWESOME update video!😎🤘
The Brands Hatch in game only uses the Indy Circuit, and is considerably short to have a WTT.
I also noticed this! I’m sad they are mistreating Brands Hatch Indy Circuit. It’s good fun and variety. Wish they’d do Richmond more also.
Did my first laps yesterday. So far my best lap time is 1.22.053
I hope in the future they can add more Class 1 cars from Audi, BMW, Aston Martin, Nissan, Toyota, Honda
I have been using the Porsche (with all upgrades) for this time trial, and the best I could achieve was in the middle of Group C. I tested some ghosts from Group A, but I think it is almost impossible to reach that level with this car. Even though the car is really good in the curves, it simply doesn't have the acceleration that the BMW or Mercedes have, which makes you lose time at the exit of the corners.
I highly reccomend maybe playing on an android device, as iphones are locked to 30fps and androids can go up to 120fps, it may give a better experience, and possibly give better results.
It actually doesn’t give you better results. I personally known some of the best in the game. Some on iOS, some on Android. I started on Android and I loved it. Note 4 then an S7. You can still see the better frame rate on my old videos.
But then Android did something really stupid and banned us from using internal audio recording in North America for years. I spoke to LG and Samsung about the problem. I told them they were forcing me to go to iOS. They said they had a lot of gamers leaving them and there’s nothing they could do about it because it was Android. My only options at the time were to hack my device. Put a bad taste in my mouth for Android!!
Now must of my life is built around iOS. To switch to android and get a decent device is a LOT of money. Especially when I must have an iOS device for most aspects of my life.
I was debating getting a OneNote as they actually provide a reasonable amount of updates, exactly the same as Samsung. Snap Dragon third generation chip with 16 gigs of ram. BUT… that’s a big investment for one game. On top of that, I’d have to buy a new screen recorder and a new subscription for editing videos. Gets to be a lot of money.
I’ve asked the developers many times why iOS devices are limited. They won’t answer which makes me think it’s actually iOS that’s doing it. Makes sense actually. iOS does one update for every device. So then older devices can have trouble running certain things. Android does updates on a per device basis, but that’s actually cause problems for people who didn’t do their research and ended up with a device that was not supported after just 2 updates. Anyhow, you can see I’ve put a lot of research and thought into this.😅
@@ME7_RR3 Yep, thank you for that, I didn't know they banned in game audio recording, as down here in Australia it works for us through game launcher. (Samsung s23+). I understand that once you are in the apple ecosystem you can't leave.
@combativesquire4234 I should say that they are allowing it again here too. It’s funny because I actually get annoyed with a lot of how iOS does things. People say it’s intuitive, but I don’t find that! I actually prefer how the Android system is laid out. Who knows, next time there’s a big sale I might take the plunge back to Android, at least for gaming! 😃

@@ME7_RR3Actually I can speak with authority that RR3 is artificially limiting iOS to 30 FPS. I was jailbroken and created a 60 FPS tweak and raced at glorious 60 FPS for years on iOS. When I got a new iPad Pro 11” 2018 with ProMotion 120hz display, I was also able to run at 120 FPS!!
Battery life on 60 FPS is negligible impact and still only uses about 65% of a single CPU core. At 120 it still doesn’t use 100% but for some reason the battery life does get impacted.
ME7 please tell the developers this: all they need to do is a single line of code. EAGLView.setFrameRate(60, 60); That’s it!!! It’s that simple and could be copied and pasted in 5 seconds. It even works well on my iPhone 6S iOS 13.3 so there’s absolutely no excuse about older devices etc!

It feels so strange to me how the 2016-17 DTM cars managed to be on the leaderboard when the Porsche GT3 R, being the third option car gets a Limited Time Sale. I know GT3 cars are a bit slower, the developers should have relegated the Porsche into a loaner car, which would have made sense.

I am 0.5 s from Albert before bus stop. After the bus stop I gain another 0.5 s of the loss. How to tske the bus stop correctly?

It’s pretty impossible to explain with words. That’s why I do these runs. Watch my run a few times, even slow motion the bus stop section.
Don’t know who Albert is. Do you maybe mean Alfred? He’s one of the best. I was going to say that following someone else’s ghost is also handy. Although don’t trust the brake lights. They come on one or two car lengths after a person actually starts braking.
I will say that I backed up my braking point for the bus stop at tiny bit. I was worried about losing my group A time and that helped me to gain a bit more versus my run in this video. Only 0.1 gain but that moved me up 80 spots.

What is the highest realistic group you can do this with a Porsche?
I’m not going to test it because there’s no profit in it and I don’t have time. If that’s all you’ve got, then just do the best you can. The best I’m seeing from my friends is 1.22.8. However, I don’t know how good those people are.

Why are people getting 1 second record?
I don’t know what you mean, I can’t see anyone setting a time of just one second. It’s certainly possible through hacking! It seems like some people wouldn’t even do the race, they would somehow just enter in a time. EA will remove those times through the week. Ones they missed get removed in the 24 hour delay between the event ending and the rewards being handed out. Sometimes people wait until there’s a few minutes. Left and try to sneak in a hacking time. That’s why the 24 hour delay was introduced.
