Thanks, in assetto drifting small hp cars is so unreal compared to real life where it obviously makes sense. People often think in simulations that low hp drift cars are impossible to drive without a turbo.
I feel like you could've bumped the tire pressure up and it would've required a lot less clutch kicking. Also, same turbo setup with a stock KA would eliminate that too ;)
I have terrible internet problems rn so I can't actually watch the vid but I still wanted to pop round and say hi! I think the best way to learn how to drift is to progress along side your car so that you get experience with all power ranges. 200hp isn't very low hp, here most people outside of the semi-pro/pro range drift in 100ish hp cars because they can't afford mods so they just drive stock e36s
Yeah 200 is a really really good starting base! Most guys we know are out with KA 240's or like 100hp Miatas so its honestly the place area to learn on!
@@HaugenRacing unfortunately we don't get 240's and cars like that here. Although they do sell them they are rare and expensive, if you're lucky enough to find one they are usually a couple of thousand. That's why pretty much everyone drifts a BMW here. My dream drift build is a diesel Merc or a Datsun 1200/120y, both would be different and both would be reasonably cheap. A big problem with Brexit is that we can no longer import cheap cars from the UK to Portugal, lots of drifters do this because 1. There are more cars available in the UK (s chassis for example) and 2. Cars are way cheaper there.
@@HaugenRacing there's a reason everyone drives BMWs here😂. Yeah, opposite sides of the world, opposite car prices ig😂 Luckily I'm more of a Euro than JDM guy so I like seeing BMWs, although it does get boring when you go to a drift day and the only car that isn't an E36 is an E30 (there's always this one E30 that is ear piercing and I love it so much, look up Ermelino Neto on YT and watch a vid by a channel called Rosmanao Videos, the car is insane!)
yo could you do a How to drift: High Horsepower? I've gotten decent at mid hp cars with gravy pack and wtds on Assetto but the fomula drift cars seem impossible to drive. I haven't really seen anyone make any videos on this yet
Really just stay in low gear and floor it (especially in the rain). It helps if you wait to lose traction till you’re like 1/4 through the first turn so that you already have some sideways momentum
Any thoughts or input on damper adjustments for low power? IE stiffer damper in rear to crate more slip? Though, that may also throw off the overall balance? Any input would be greatly appreciated 🤘🙏
This is a game thing but you should make a video about your favourite cars in carx drift racing online and show the setups so people who dont know how you do setups or dont know a lot of cars and want to try your setups. And if you like doing it then you can do polls like what car next
Okay so miata can be stock and still have fun good to know I’m kinda debating on getting a Miata or a e36 but I have very little money so maybe better miata for reliability lol
if it's your only car i'd say an e36, mine is super practical while still being fun, despite being a bmw they are pretty reliable mechanically, it's just the small stuff that causes issues. (windows, lock actuators, leaks yadda yadda)
I think it would be funny to see a "How to FWD drift" Then talk about all these skills that don't exist. Then at the end pull out some baking sheets and a 500$ beater and just go nuts.
What are some tire pressure combo’s you’d recommend for 200hp? I’m rocking the FRS and at 35-38 psi F, 60 psi R. It sometimes seems like the front grips up a bit in transition and doesn’t “float”. Thinking about bumping up to 40-45 in front. Any thoughts you have on this would be extremely helpful!!! (Running Federal 595 SS F/R, for reference) Thank you!
I love the irony of let me teach you how to drive in a specific way, but literally has so many stickers obstructing his view to the point where its not funny . There's gotta be at least half of his entire usable point of view is not there. I wouldn't doubt there's teenagers/young adults watching this that are gonna copy that and biff their shit because of the precision of driving. But I've never driven before so don't mind meme.
This same stuff applies to video game drifting too for all my virtual drifters 💪
ruclips.net/video/BSmuqT__iRE/видео.html Reaction to this video was very nice
Here something why not react the monsters of Group B from the 80s in WRC?
lmao no forza just wont drift low horsepower without a lot of tuning
Great to see a competitive drifter in a low hp car. Helps us see how you can progress.
Had to level the playing field and show people t's possible in something like sub 400hp
How to drift with low hp. My miata: hold my sparkplugs.
Ahahaha thats funny because Aaron is having issues with his Miata rn.
Also ur miata has half the horse power as the thumbnail
Me also with my 4CYL e36 😂

YES! Thank you for doing this.
You are so welcome!
Only know you good at drifting cause you ain’t even able to see where you going through all those stickers! and you still did the course perfectly!

I'm not planning to learn how to drift but I still watched it. Don't know why.
Well glad you watched it! haha

Does this apply to an open dif car too?
I was hoping this would tell me how to drift a 2002 4runner lmao
Turn your assists off, put it in 1st or 2nd in the rain and turn and floor it lol. Crap I really don't know how to drift a heavy automatic truck

Wait till it rains and your tires will be fine

What do these cars weigh? Weight to HP ratio? Possibly looking to build a car soon from junk I got laying around
Uhhhhh hard to think off the top of my head but I wanna say maybe 2,500/3,000? And its about 200hp
can i drift a 34 hp van?. the van weight is 750 kg. Thats the only Rwd in my country
What about 260? Still low power right? Having trouble deciding how big of a tire to run/which tread wear
The amount of stickers on the windshield, how can you see?? Lol
Gotta look out the side windows fam!!!
Can he even see out the windsheild with all those stickers
What's the secret to clutch kick without burning the hell out of my clutch? (honest question)
Don't go crazy on it and get a decent cutch installed. They should last you about 2/3 years with decent abuse!

What tire size on the rears

What’s the horsepower recommended to star drifting?

Oh, cool!
I dont think there is enough stickers on your windshield
So, my stock 78 Lincoln continental has enough HP to drift... interesting
Where my KA boys at?
Can I get a KA in the chat?!?!
Nice car
how can he see when he has 30,000 stickers on his windscreen
With my eyeballs man lolol
I meant 80 HP not 200 lol
I guess i can come back to this video when im old enough to drive im only 13
Hey at least you'll know now for when you drive!
Basically how you first time playing FR Legends but irl
Basically yeah!!! Good example!
200hp? i've seen people drift lower, but i see 200 seems pretty fine for this car
Yeah you can drift with even lower hp, but 200 is a good starting number for a car this size!
You sick vid can u react to south African spinning please
Thats on our list! Just need to get it filmed!
how much HP the S13 have?
Around 200 maybe less. Basically stock sr20. Watch the build series we have on it 😍
@@HaugenRacing ok thanks
I dont even have 200 hp in my drift car 138 over here lol. We bang the limiter till she dies on this side

actually it kind of does
