Love your videos. Thanks for sharing your parameters and for your honesty. I was planning to go to Reef-a-Palooze in 24 but not sure now. I always to go AquaShella. I live in Florida and will most likely try this one once.

Moving to the area this summer and getting back into the hobby. Bummed I missed this year by a few months but excited for next years. Glad your channel popped up as a suggestion. Any reef clubs to look for in the area?

you should do a California trip and check out a RAP on the other side of the country to see vendors you don't normally see (and good for a vacation trip too)!
100% agree with you. This years show was sad. I was there on Sunday as well, prices were crazy.

I was there too, went both days. and I have to agree with you. Somehow there were fewer vendors and exhibitors that in past years. I used to always come back with a ridiculous amount of swag and this time the bags were pretty light. I’m not sure what happened. Like you said a good time but they need to do better with getting back vendors and exhibitors.

I went Saturday afternoon and thought same thing, show wasn’t as good this year. Still had a good time and feel I got a few good deals. But ya wasn’t as many coral vendors to me and most prices where high. I noticed few who where completely full of frags, to expensive so won’t sell

Was also disappointed that no 1 was giving stuff away. Every year I leave with all kinds of stuff like food, towels, glasses, etc… this year the only spot I saw was reef 2 reefs stand giving bag and stickers (which was cool). I told myself maybe economy different so vendors can’t this year??
I wish I got more corals but day one was awesome I only bought mushrooms but there was some really cool jawbreakers and good bounces the frank bounce and juggernaut bounces there where so awesome my freind won a tank and a ai light and arm

Bro the problem is the vendor have to paid a lot of money for the spaces..
First day sucked too. I spent $100 and part of that was on gear. After the show I left saying I wouldn’t go back. It was also way too packed I couldn’t even move around.

I agree, I went to the show planning on spending some good money and left with no corals, good show but not impressed with coral selection/prices, but I did win a frag rack with the raffles
I feel like reefapalooza is not the same any more. I used to love to go to look for good deals. Now I feel everyone wants to get top dollars. I would rather do live sales than spend money on gas and tickets to get to the show.
Yup it’s crazy. They want to make one years salary in one day. Best to go on Sunday to haggle down prices
The price of everything has gone up due to inflation - so it’s not just the coral prices, it’s everything
@@ReefingwithO sure but, certain groups are the reason why the price sky rocketed. They started giving corals names like rainbows and master corals just to justify selling them at a higher price
@@watrpologuy4549 it's crazy people put names like ultra, rare, and rainbow when the dam coral only has like two colors. but the dumbest thing that I'm starting to see is people use the word "super" like what? it's crazy.

Not more than 50$ per frag and that was for the fuller frags other ones where 25$
Reefapalooza is the biggest rip off. The prices are absolutely insane for no reason. These companies are out of control. These vendors are going to kill this hobby
There’s normally like 3-4 booths with deals that are worth it but that’s about it. Especially this year. Very few were decent. I picked up some 20$ btas and some 5$ neglectas from one booth but everywhere else was retail or above
@@jackdonohoe7484 I wanted to go this year but it’s probably a complete waste of time. I miss the old days. All of these big vendors are setting the tone for outrageous prices and the small vendors are following suit. They are going to kill this hobby.
@@Botzz28 imo... The hobby is already headed on a downward spiral.. people seem to forget what the hobby was all about and actually just growing corals.. now it's all about having the big names from hardware to corals.. I have one foot in and one foot out..
