I really liked Pandemic Season 0. We also did much better in Pandemic Season 0 than in Season 1 where we didn’t know we were getting scored at the end (we purposefully lost multiple times for reasons). I don’t remember the map part being bad - I remember clues from the story to help pick the best route. Our game was also very thematic and I think the secret base was conveniently located for us.
Agree 👏 I bought the game when i saw the passport. It ‘looked’ fun. But unfortunately the passport is a total MISREPRESENTATION of the game. the theme was supposed to be captivating but the game mechanics were lame & the game felt like a chore. I wish i can get a refund
Thought the game was great - season 1 was my favourite but I reckon theme worked great and whilst you mention randomness of cards, that’s in most games. I think it also must represent how things would actually be in real life - some of these situations would be 50/50 or risky or really difficult. Like that games are not just easy to complete - 9/10 for me
We loved S1, skipped S2 (it was too expensive), played I think 4 months of S0, untill we just kinda forgot it. Haven't gotten it to the table for about 2 years now, most likely not going to finnish it. Playing it just felt more work than fun.
Many seem to enjoy S0 a lot, but I'd like to know the nationality of those that do. I have a theory that season 0s theme is more catered to american audiences.
Hmm I wonder if it'll stand up to Season 1. Coincidentally I'm going through Season 1 right now. End of March rn. Hopefully lives up to it's.... legacy :P
@@realdealastrology9 Agreed. The irony of hearing it from someone with 'astrology' in their moniker is breathtaking though! You do know games are meant to be fun? Luke goes out of his way to remind us of that every now and then.
@@tmcd5049 it is breathtaking because astrology is based on logic, mathematics, and symbolism dating back since the dawn of mankind. But I would never expect someone unevolved to understand that.

I was done with Season 0 after about 2/3 of the way through but had to finish it.

My partner and I only played Season 0: we thought it was fun. Luke is very analytical here, but logic isn't everything.
