Do you ladies hire an army of housekeepers to keep all the white surfaces cleaned? I love how bright it is but kids touching tables and countertops and walking on white floors require constant upkeep. Absolutely gorgeous...I just don't know how practical it is.
Her kids are not that young in the making of the video so I _think_ they must be past that stage, not sure though. :) also, if they have enough money to have that large reno, i reckon they also have enough to hire housekeepers haha

Lana, I asked my contractor to give me skylights in my kitchen as I live the glow of sunlight any and everywhere, but he said it would just create a hotter kitchen. Is YOUR kitchen giving you any “hot flashes”?? Please let me know how you feel while cooking in sunshine. Thank you!!!
Merry H forget that advice - go with the skylights. It’s never been a problem and I think it’s worth having it beautiful for 360 days of the year even if it’s too hot for 5 days of the year. Air con would also help xx

Hi Melanie. Ha ha it’s true we love white but we’ve definitely done some projects with colour. Have a look at House 7 (there is no white used in that house) and House 11(a style we called “colour me hamptons” and House 12 used a warm colour palette with very little white. Don't get me wrong, it's aesthetically beautiful but I will never understand the appeal ppl find having an all-white everything living space. I feel like living there would be like walking on eggshells every day for fear of staining anything. God forbid, tomato or red wine accident happen. I'm a germaphobe and cleaning freak...it won't matter how good we clean that up, my PTSD would mess with my psyche so bad at that point that I will always see those stains. No ma'am, ain't nobody got time for all that torture and possibilities of a mental breakdown lol
Just noticing this now & wanna help with the white fear, the colour white is the only colour you can bleach without changing its intensity. So basically bye bye bacteria. Its soo convenient! :) its good! Really.
