I was a Unix/Linux sysadmin for 25 years and fell in love with PowerShell and started writing scripts that automate saving emails into a records management system. I got head hunted and now work in the team that looks after the records management system on Windows servers and have continued to use PowerShell to automate all sorts of things. PowerShell is phenomenal.

If there's one thing I am always envy on Linux are text config files, like setting up cron jobs is super easy, to compare with Scheduled Tasks. Your story highlight the beauty of our industry - we can rediscover our careers at any point, and be excited!

Great content Kamil, I can relate to a lot of this! I also passed Windows 8 exam and followed by Server 2012 MSA :D. I'm here because I want to learn proper coding in Powershell and move to DevOps. I think there will be plenty of views added from me to your videos.👍

It's funny when we can see how technology changes in front of our eyes in matter of years! Good look on your journey, it's fun place to be!

Too funny! I'm a big Don Jones fan. Have the same books as you, plus a few others! Worth every penny and I love his personal writing style. Really sorted out a lot of things for me.
My job these days is PowerShell + SQL Server.
Your story is really great. I'm very happy for your success.

Haha it's great it resonated with you! And yes combination of PowerShell and SQL is powerful indeed - I wonder if one day this combo will be taken as a norm for back end development. To your success!
