I ride with a bunch of guys from Connecticut! Great vid!
thanks for the comment. Where do you guys typically ride?
We have a place in campton nh. Couple weekends spent in Jefferson, Colebrook and Pittsburg. You?
@@ryanstober1507 NH is great riding, I ride Colebrook and Pitt sometimes. Typically ride in IP VT and Old Forge NY, do Ontario and Quebec as much as possible too
If your putting the sleds away you need to look after the trailers that haul them. Guy knows what he’s doing. Excellent tips and tricks.
Much appreciated Julie
Def. some nice Tip's for sure. Ive been doing the anti seize on lug nut's for awhile.
thanks for watching...just did the lugs again two weeks ago for the season
Great video. I loved the light plug trick
yah..something that simple works great...thanks for the comment
Great video. Simple stuff, but so many people neglect this.
yes simple stuff, but if no one mentions it, you aren't aware that it is worth doing...thx for watching
Very Good information
Thanks
The light harness is a great idea 💡
my buddy dave the electrician told me about that years ago...I have moved the same plug to two trailers...lol...keeps the connector clean
Well done, thank you!
thanks for the feedback!
Great little ideas and tips that are very helpful. You are very thorough!
much appreciated
Great video and perfect timing as I'm putting my trailer away next week. Definitely some great tips!
Glad it is helpful. Thx for the feedback.
thanks for the vid i bought a new trailer last spring and before winter i sprayed the axle and rims with lps3, there are a few products that do similar stuff, like wool wax, fluid film. supposed to help protect against corrosion. I did it before i first use this winter while the trailer was still new. I also tend to disconnect my truck from trailer once i am at my destination and when i go in the back of the trailer the tongue flips up in the air. i purchased 2 aluminum jack stands for 20 bucks for the pair. drilled hole about 1/2 inch in 4x4, mounted on top of jack and also cut a groove so the frame of trailer sits in the wood block adn wont slide off. then i just put it under trailer so i can drop teh rear door and go in or out anytime, and load or unload sled without having to hookup to truck.
awesome info...thx
Gooday sir , this is my first year that i have my own trailer ,its 8,5x20 too haul my sleds and motocross during proper season and also use it like a little workshop when i am in some races
Thx for amazing tios i will put some of them in application for sure , thx again
Thx for the comment and good luck with your trailer 👍
Make sure you get a wood handle broom-Where do you keep your spare-I had to make a bracket on the sidewall on my Mission- Good tips all the way around.
I keep one spare under the front of sled a sled and another in the bed of the truck under a tonneau cover. Thanks for the comments.
Thanks for the awesome video. What grease would you recommend for the wheel bearings?
Lucas Red “N” Tacky is a well-known, high-performance grease suitable for a range of automotive applications, including use as wheel bearing grease. Its long shelf life, high tackiness, and extreme pressure resistance .
@@AdventureStreamingGuys Thanks!
I'll usually spray down any door gasket rubber with some sort of lube also it helps with them freezing closed when you find warm then cold weather. I do the same on my truck also
That's a good idea!
Very helpful, thank you!
Glad it helped...thanks for watching Hunter!
Lubing the wheel studs is smart! I had my studs start to spin and couldn't remove the lug nuts! Had to replace both hubs the night before leaving on a trip, not fun.
thanks for the comment and support
Just had that happen to me this weekend. Lesson learned. Do preventative maintenance before you are dealing with rusted lug nuts at 1AM when it is 10 degrees.
good stuff, thanks for the info
Thanks for checking it out!
Recommend using dielectric grease for wiring
Some sort of Lithium grease on all other components.
Great comment thank you
How do you keep the front access window from freezing?
tough one....spray it with silicone but i have 50% success rate lol
aboneniz oldum zili açtım
Dielectric grease on the plugs both truck and trailer. Keeps it from corroding.
yep....good point used it on the boat switches for years too
Kind of a unrelated question but can you fit the 154” backcountry in that trailer. I have the same trailer (12ft hybrid) and looking to upgrade to a 154” next year.
Yes no problem
Also 156 fits too
Appreciate the response!!!
@@motardforlife2197 you bet
Fluid film the trailer every yr you wont have to do this at all and the trailer wont rust the same with the truck
what is the process of using Fluid Film?
@@AdventureStreamingGuys spraying down everything. Inside and outside of the frame, inside rocker panel and door jams and doors themselfs in the engine bay, suspension parts bottom of the cab floor and electrical stuff as well it protects. Everything gets treated once a yr not even bolts will be rusty no matter where you live. A f150 job is $115 my tailer was around the same its smaller then yours. It takes 45mins probably longer if you do it yourself snd will cost the same to buy yourself. But you need a gun and special tip with a tube so when you shove it in things it covers everything in one go
@@buffalobmf sounds like a great product and process is it expensive?
@@AdventureStreamingGuys they charged $115 to do my f150. And a little less to do my trailer its about the size as yours. Then you have to donit every yr you get warranty if anything rusts
@@buffalobmf good information John...thank you
When was the last time you took of your lug nuts on the trailer? If u don’t take them off regularly when it’s time to take off a flat it will be stuck spraying lube won’t help
yes exactly I explain that in the video, I take them off a few times a year
@@AdventureStreamingGuys sorry watched the rest of the vid and forgot to take the comment down
@@wyattscheerer6469 no worries dude
