Man you have a beautiful golf, I want to do a vr6 swap in my mk2 as well. I’m glad you’re pointing out things such as what parts you need from mk3’s and mk4’s that’s super helpful 👍 awesome clean video style too btw. I agree what you said about the VW community, everyone is always in a good mood and happy to help/chat. Can’t wait to see this thing in action! Also I think we live in the same general area? I go to Kent for work sometimes so maybe I’ll even see you on the road haha 😁✌️
Thank you for the positive feedback. It's making the videos seem a little easier to do. Hope to see you on the road or you might see me at couple of the show's or cruises this summer. Thanks again
Good luck with your swap! I just finished a 1.9 TDI swap to my mk2 and I'm not 100% content with it. I used a Passat B4 front cross member and an mk3 subframe to mount my engine and it shakes the whole car even with brand new OEM mounts. I'm sure cabin vibs won't be too much of an issue with the VR swap though. I have to figure out a way to use the mk4 mounts on mine.
Hey Jake great stuff! Little question . Do you suggest changing the master cylinder if I will be replacing the front brake to mk3 GTI vr6 DE and replacing rear drums to disks ?
ya it will help a lot with better braking. It depends on what this car will be for you. My red 24v is more of a road trip cruising car. So stock suspension, audi brakes up front and drum in the rear work fine. But my black 1.8t I have disc all around. I'm going to rip that thing lol
@@JakeRawSon Thanks alot, and the calipers just bolts on with no adapters or separate carriers like on the g60 calipers? The audi 5000 caliper would be audi s4 i europe I guess and isnt the discs 288mm on that car? Awesome video btw
Nice. Thank you

Your issue is very common. Friend of mine has mk3 tdi and mk4 tdi and both shake the whole car. After market mounts on the mk4 shakes even more.
Have you posted a list if the exact parts you've used anywhere? Your swap seems pretty well sorted man. Great job!
No I don't think I have. Ever part I used is in the videos but maybe ill wright it out and put it in one of the videos description
@@JakeRawSon Good Morning Jake hope is well, love this brake conversion do you have the part numbers for the brake calipers 0pleeeaaaaseeee🙏

@@JakeRawSon it'll be an inbetween car so I'm not decided yet
Hi what’s the part number for accessory bracket cant put my p/s line on the pump it hits frame i see you have lots of room thanks
It’s just the stock 24v bracket that come on the engine
Hay brother I did a vr6 swap and my breaks wont bleed.. that spring bracket on my rear broke .. can that be the problem
Could be. If your not leaking fluid anywhere I’d flush it more. When I did mine it took forever to get all the air bubbles out from the rear brakes.
@@JakeRawSon thanks I'll try it this week.
When you say mk3 spindels can you take the spindel from any golf mk3? Or only like the gti?
Yes. I got mine from a mk3 2.0

Yep just bolt right no the calipers. Yes use a corrado disc and it will fit.
I'm in silverdale, my mk3 vr6 is desperate need of TLC, how much you charge on work?
Appreciate the sub. Depending on what you need done to your car I have a couple guys I can recommend.
@@JakeRawSon alright thanks.
Are you able to use mk2 cv axels to mk3 spindels?
Yes I used the mk3 spindels and my stock mk2 axels. Make sure yours are 100mm
PNW Born and Raised Ok Thank you Great content btw
