Welcome to Porto guys! We hope you enjoy this video :) Let us know if you have any questions, we're always to help! Thanks for being here supporting our channel ❤ We don't take you for granted!
I think something that I and maybe others would like to see is the route that you are on. I know when watching other travel videos, seeing an animated map of your route so we can kind of understand where you are going, how you are getting there, how close it is, etc. This really helps visualize itineraries but also helps us live more vicariously through your travel. I actually enjoy seeing some of the traveling bits, the bus rides, the reality of traveling, etc.
To expand on this, I think you did a good job in the Turkey Videos where I could kind of understand where you were in the country. But I really think having a map at the beginning of the episode to pin point where you were last episode, where you are now, and how you got there would really help us visualize the trip better. As, you were just in Lisbon, and now you are suddenly in Porto. I've been to Portugal, so I know that Porto is north of Lisbon, but how did you get there. Then I see in the next video, you are in a northern part of Portugal, but it would be great to see this place in the map, how exactly you got there, etc. I think when people watch these videos, we want to live vicariously through the video, so having some understanding on how you are getting to point A to B, and understanding exactly where that is is super helpful. We feel like we are traveling with you. Just some pointers.
Hi Cameron :) You are 100% right. We want to include more of this on our upcoming travel series. When we look back at the Portugal one, we really wished we had included more of the journey as well. We really enjoy that type of content too. We were just so burned out in Portugal that we took travel days to just relax and not think about work, but our next travel series is Malaysia and we want to do it like we did in Turkey. Thanks so much for taking the time to send us feedback and for being a part of the WOTW fam! ❤️
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
5:18 - Alheiras were created originally in Trás-os-Montes (northeast region). You can say that they're "typical" to the whole country because everyone eats them but if you want to use the word 'typical' in its strict sense, then they're typical from Trás-os-Montes. 🙂
Hi Evelyn! We liked the price of the place we stayed at, but it wasn't the most comfortable place honestly (and it smelled very humid after 3 days), however it was very clean! I'm dropping the link here just in case you want to check it out because the price was really good: www.airbnb.com/rooms/15319878?guests=1&adults=1&s=67&unique_share_id=79cf3094-ba81-48aa-aafe-f4e622d0873e Have so much fun in Porto!!! :)
Sorry, it's good story but alheira was not invented by the jew community, It was created by pesant hunters to preserve small game meat like hare and pheasant.
Hello - you may be right... I don't know exactly where we originally got the info, but Wikipedia does say alheira was originally invented by Jews. Not to say that Wikipedia is always correct, but we didn't just make it up :) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alheira
@@waysoftheworld_I know you didn't, most portuguese people belive that story and it was popular in the jewish community, but like most portuguese dishes it was a result of a need to preserve ingredients and make them taste as good as possible. Glad you liked our country😁

That bridge builder also built the Eiffel tower. :)
Cool! Is it the same guy that did the lift in Lisbon? I think he was Mr. Eiffel's protégé or student, if I remember correctly...
what time of year did you go? How would I get from Tavira to Porto?
Where did you stay in Porto? Would you recommend it? Thanks!

A very dirty city with plenty of old inhabited houses! Not for me!
we don't see Porto that way at all - but of course, not every place is for everyone...
