I'm convinced, at this point, that Vee keeps on getting degrees so she can have an essay crisis every week.😂
hahah that would be a very expensive hobby! - ; I am just a student who leaves her work until the last minute ha! this only happens to me like 30% of the time, but it be super boring to film the ones that are not a crisis. and I enjoy showing some of the imperfect moments as I think those are more helpful than me hiding it and only showing myself performing well 24/7.

I've got ADHD, Autism and a TON of learning difficulties. People are like "Oh, but you get accommodations" - lol there is no accommodation on this planet that can truly soften *that*. So sometimes, I watch one of your crisis videos, because even if I have a month or more before I even start writing my essay, I'm in a crisis. Every assignment, every chapter, every lecture is a crisis, lol, because they're all so innately overwhelming. But we do them anyway, Vee. You find a way to "Get it Done", and I find a way, too. Thank you for always reminding me that no matter the obstacle, a path through can always be forged.

Breaking out in hives even though you're confident in what you're doing is so frustrating! Like, body, calm down, we've got this.
I’m not even joking, that’s when I knew I was actually stressed and cared deeply about university 😂😂 because it only happens to me 3 times or so a year and it whenever I have a big paper due or an exam. My body literally tells me that I am in crisis before I register it! -
But if anyone else gets stress hives all over their body take antihistamine! And some anti itch cream. Literally works like magic !
@@veekativhu_i feel you, i get deathly ill during exam seasons. once in 10th grade, i had to get rushed to the OR because my appendix was under SO MUCH stress. normally i get chest infections and these exams were when i was just starting my SAT prep.
I started watching these essay crisis videos in undergrad. Now dealing with grad school deadlines, they’re still super relatable.

I tend to write in signle space first as a way to calm my anxieties. When an assignment is 3 pages double spaced, I say, "okay, that's only 1.5 pages single spaced!"
then once you finish editing and stuff double spacing/formatting it as a dopamine boost!
Watching your essay crisis is so beautiful, for the fact that you really get it done, no matter what, just becomes my motivation whenever I have academic pressure🥰😍

You’re really smart and hard working. I admire that & it’s one the reasons I follow you.
But also, being smart, you have an advantage of doing things at the last minute and succeeding. Some of us have to work extra hard to get an average mark.
I’m not sure if you’re promoting the practice of doing work at the last minute and in a way saying “it’s ok to do things last minute, you can still succeed “.

I feel your stress😅 I had to write a reaction paper for the first time in 4 years, and I may have shed some tears. I had ideas but organizing them was such a struggle. I am just hopeful that I will get back to the "academic" mindset soon

I had the exact same issue a couple of days ago when I had to submit my midterm! One of my professors out of the nowhere assigned it gave the class 7 days to complete the assignment in two part prompt 700 word essay for each. I knew the answer for each one because I had studied the concepts before. However, the way the professor asked the questions was the issue. I kept going back and forth. Eventually I had to go to the hospital because I was having numbness in my left hand. I was under not only pain but overall swelling , mental fatigue, and everything you mentioned. Once I turned it in I felt better but the fear of not knowing if I did enough or everything right. I was over it! 😅

I have 7 assignments all 2,000-3,000 words long due in 20 days and came here for some reasurrance, the "if you don't laugh your cry " is very much felt, thank u Vee haha

Vee, writing essays can be very stressful and daunting, but you did it as usual and I am sure that you will do well. That is what university degrees are like. They want you to write essays.

I struggle with procrastination so much
I thought a PhD was a self defined research project, with annual progress reports, and a few orals presentations about your research (plus presenting at conferences)... I'm in the science world, is in different in other fields?
I like crunch time work it’s detailed and very to the point but I’m a planner and I always leave stuff to the last minute. Which is not ideal. But we always get it done. 😂😂😂😂
