Hello, Thanks for sharing. May I ask a question about the relationship between supportedSRS-TxPortSwitch IE and UL MIMO: If the UE capability of band N41's supportedSRS-TxPortSwitch=1T4R, does it means that UE cannot support UL 2x2 MIMO on band N41? Thanks.
Hello , I have a doubt regarding non-codebook based transmission. Assume in step -2 we transmitted 4 srs (4 layers) using 4 antenna ports and 4 physical antennas. In step-3 BS send back the information regarding rank assume it's 2 which means instead of using 4 layers we have to use 2 layers in upcoming PUSCH transmission right and what about antenna ports still it's 4 or 2 ..?
HI! Spec talks about measuring PMI based on subBands. Now I wonder, how do we allocate PUSCH with multiple PMIs? Is it even possible? Or maybe measure PMI per subBand serves Scheduler to optimize the link, aka deciding which group of RBs should be allocated for specific UE with constraints of single PMI.
Hello. In the beginning of this presentation you mentioned precoding in the DL is not supported? Why is it not? We have precoding in the DL with pmi for FDD and we have precoded dmrs
This statement is based on section 7.3.1.4 of 3GPP spec 38.211 where the layer mapped symbols are mapped directly to antenna ports. They have not specified any precoding matrix over there.
@@curiousbeing8585 type 1 and type 2 codebook are DL codebooks for SU and MU MIMO. Also, no indication of the precoder is needed because dmrs is precoded similarly as data. I think it's safe to say there should be a downlink precoder.
Thanks for detailed presentation. In the slide "Procedure for codebook based transmission", it was mentioned in the upper half of the figure that UE transmits SRS1 and SRS2 and BS indicates back to the UE a rank 4 PMI for SRI2. Does this mean that both SRS1 and SRS2 are transmitted on 4 antenna ports using different beams and if so, does that mean SRS1 and SRS2 are TDM'ed?
Thanks for the appreciation. In summary, codebook based in specified by 3GPP while non-codebook based is based on UE measurements. Can you please describe your question in bit more detail like what kind of details are you looking for?
Absolutely great presentation!!! If possible could you please add SRS

When to use codebook based and non codebook based and how to do this??

What is TPMI Indexx ?

Good information..How about DL transmission with PMI?? Any changes in 5G when we compared with 4G

@@dianamaamari9 Agree with you. it just not the same codebook as UL.
Make a video on type I and type II codebook and how precoders are selected

will helpful if you share a video on digital, analog and hybrid beam forming.

its good explanation, please add some more details on precoding based on codebook and non-codebook for detailed understanding
