  • Kenol-Sagana-Marua Highway: Endless Delays and Frustrations
The Kenol-Sagana-Marua dual carriageway was meant to revolutionize travel along this key economic corridor, but endless construction delays have left motorists frustrated. This 16.7 billion shillings project began in 2019, with an initial completion deadline of December 2022. Fast forward to 2025, and the road remains unfinished.
In this video, we drive through Kibirigwi in Kirinyaga County, tackling Kangocho Hill and reflecting on how delays in compensating landowners, relocating utilities, and political interference have turned this project into a nightmare. The missed deadlines-October 2023, May 2024, and counting-speak volumes about the challenges facing Kenya’s infrastructure development.
When will this crucial highway finally be completed? And how much longer must motorists endure the potholes, diversions, and wear-and-tear on their vehicles? It's time for decisive action!
