I am one of those riders who enjoy the long rides, minimal noise. When I was younger it was all about the sound. Now that I own a 2018 RT, its about comfort and relaxing. Don't care if you pass me on the highway, once the cruise control is set. I remember one time I got the thumbs up from a Mustang driver who passed me. It made me happy. However, behind him was a family of four in a RAV 4 that also passed me lol! And I was well well over the speed limit on the highway!
Exactly the information about the product I wanted to hear to support a purchase decision. I especially appreciated the presentation for its organization and perfect depth of info. Very well done!
Daniel Marshall thanks
5 out of 5 wheelies for your review. Particularly appreciated the sound demo at different continuous revs; not just the usual blip. Comments re matching character of the bike are spot on. Re quality I have had a Remus carbon (sheath over steel) with stainless upswept connector on my VFR for 22 years. Great sound, faultless quality, and the stainless connector to this day maintains its highly polished gleam. Currently considering an R1200RS and it will definitely be getting a Remus...and the baffle will probably sit on the shelf for a while. Can always pop it back in for long trips.😊
Thanks!
Excellent articulate review thanks mate from Aus. would have been the icing on the cake had you ridden the bike and worked the gears etc to hear the sounds we all love so much and pay exorbitant amounts for - cheers tho.
richard thanks. It’s just me and my point and shoot camera, mate. I have no way to get nice sound at speed without the wind noise spoiling the effect.
Nice review. Very well structured. Thanks.
Thanks!
Wise and considered review sir!
wow...3 sets of lights on the RT...that's some candlepower there!
I have 5 - the others are on the rear and left side. Yeah, the bike is a rolling accessories catalog. It's part of the job!
This was a nicely done review, I think, and it did not have any feeling of, "I got this for free from the manufacturer so I'm writing a rave review". I felt like this was an unbiased review. Thanks for taking the time to put this together. I would, however, like to know more information on the myriad crash bars you have on that motorcycle...that looks like extensive protection for a variety of falls. Thanks again.
Hi- It's a Wunderlich setup. I only have the top crash setup so I can hang lights, accessories, cameras, etc. off of it for testing and articles. The top protection bar offers no actual protection - it mounts to plastic tabs on the interior, which surely will break straight away if the bike tips. Were this bike not my test mule, I wouldn't have this top bar on it.
I'm sorry for the extended absence. Thank you for the reply.
Hey Moshe, I like your straight forward reviews and I also read your contributions / reviews in MCN. Hopefully I'm not off the rails here, but I'm getting close to buying a 2015 R1200 RT. Any questions or things I should investigate, look closely or research on a 2015 R1200 RT before I buy?
John Aronson thanks. Nope, no problems I know of. Mine has been very reliable. Closing in on 60,000 miles.
video is well done and concise, I would have liked to hear it without the baffle as well.
not sure why your thread was locked, but I just wanted to let you know that I thought it was a well made vid.
thanks
J
Thanks! I don't think the thread is locked - it shouldn't be, anyway!
Boss i need it for my 2014 model RT ... how without DB killer which site i can buy it for Bahrain
So are you saying that the Remus is quieter than stock? I'm looking for a more quiet sound than stock on my "20 RT.
No, I’m not saying that. The stock exhaust IS the quietest exhaust, by a large margin. You are not going to find a quieter exhaust in the aftermarket.
@@MotoMouthMoshe Thanks!
@Kyle Turner No problem. I think I saw you posting about this on the MOA page. The guys are right. Aftermarket exhaust is louder, not quieter.
I wanted to hear it
What are those crash bars protecting the upper fairing?
Those are Wunderlich upper bars. I am skeptical that they would be much protection at all (since internally they mount to plastic, not the frame.) But I needed them at the time because there was nothing else available back then to hang my Sevina lights on. Today, there are under-mirror mounts which could do the job without those bars.
잘보고 갑니다..^^
I live in California what slip on can I get.
Sounds like a good question to ask a local vendor. I'm not sure what is and isn't available in CA. For the record I think your money would be better spent elsewhere anyway.
Why didn't you bother to let us hear it?
Dude…. Did you even watch the video?
Where is the sound ?????????
Vincent Arpaia it’s there. Likely a problem with your device.
no soundbite of the open pipe... weak
Jpizzle - Yeah, because typical RT owners are just clamoring to ride around with no baffle, right?
@@MotoMouthMoshe Ok, maybe not without baffles…but no exhaust sound clip at all?!?
Accurize2 | Survival Gaming Channel what are you talking about?
...about $550.00 dollars more than it should cost!!
