I like this more than the album, bass sounds amazing.
Definitely better
This was obtained in 1985. Still kicks ass fucking 39 years later
Love the rawness of it. I actually got this on vinyl somewhere. It's a limited pressing.
Demos and live performances are where it’s at! Overproduction is for the birds….. grand post!
Much better than the album
nah
I loved this demo when I was 16. (1986)
Finally got to see them when they opened for Anthrax at the Beacon Theatre NYC
Never cared for anthrax or the ny heavy metal crossover but hmmmm this is skinhead hardcore. Weird right????
Epic. I still have the tape John gave me
Along with a veggie burger and h.i.v.
If I find you you're gonna be sorry mfer
Can you elaborate on the latter half there?
GOAT HC demo.
Love this.
PUNK HARDCORE demos 85

If this had been released as the official debut album Age of Quarrel would be close to if not as highly regarded as the Bad Brains ROIR cassette and not just an early artifact of above average crossover thrash.
That's a deliberate mischaracterization of how people feel about AoQ. I agree that this is better, but many consider the final product of AoQ to be the GOAT hardcore album-not just above average crossover
@@gobblegobble831 To each his/her own but AoQ is a crossover thrash/hardcore album. The only difference between the Cro-Mags of this era and bands like DRI, Cryptic Slaughter, Excel etc. is that the Cro-Mags kept the appearance of an early 80s hardcore punk band as opposed to growing their hair out which they later did. The music, which I enjoy, undeniably has all the characteristics of a crossover thrash band.
@@matthewvaneyk4679 nah, it's hardcore
@@matthewvaneyk4679 true
@@gobblegobble831 nahhhh
This rips.. the bass is more prevalent in the mix
🖤
My version sounds way different
the snare sounds like shop shutters
nice
I got this in like 89 from a good friend for some weed... Later saw Harley before the bnb bowl incident and got it autographed... Thank you eBay for $200
so you sold on Ebay for $200?
@@jivesamba7264 I understood the cro mags .... Was just stating that harley did dumb shit & it was time to remove from my collection.
@John Micheal Harley was a greedy signer... Took almost 90% of inlay to sign
@@anthonydidomenico3541 Harley never did dumb shit, he just is one of those rare breed of mensch that just is always ahead or behind.
Yep
