The whole concept behind this stage is pretty brilliant taking such an anxiety filled gameplay mechanic and making an entire robot master and stage based off of it. Even the music uses the sound effect. This is both artistic and sadistic
This stage is just genious. It includes every single annoying element in the Megaman games. Yoku Blocks, those things that slide on the ground, enemies that change the background and make it cover it all but Megaman, fake blocks, lotsa spikes, enemies that attack the entire screen, and I could go on.
Don't really agree to be honest - I find Unlimited is a lot easier to learn than MM10 on Hard mode, and Proto Man takes so much damage it just isn't really all that fun. Heck, I'd take Yoku Man's stage on Insta-death over the likes of Wily 2 from MM10 with Proto Man on Hard. But hey, different strokes!
@@AeroXIII Dr Wily hired Yoku Man to invent the Yoku Block and place them in numerous levels to stop Megaman. They didn't work. Soon Yoku Man got fed up, and decided to get the job done, personally. 😱
This stage is fucking brilliant. It's like it's designed to mess with you and dedicated to exemplify all the hardest and most annoying parts of classic Mega Man. Illusions, spikes, fake walls and clips, messing with the background, complicated platforming puzzles and of course Yoku Blocks EVERYWHERE. Even the music messes with you by having the Yoku Block sound effects mixed in with it! All it's missing are the Quick Man instant death lasers and gravity reverse section.
@@thaiisfood Perhaps, but still. Milky Ways (first portion), Unlocked, Wicked all uses appearing block motifs in different ways. If you took out all the bullet hell and beams from these stages, you could very easily make a compelling stage.
Not gonna lie the concept for this stage is f#cking cool!! Making a whole stage revolving around a single mechanic, complete with new enemies and stuff is awesome.
Yoku Man himself is also pretty tough. If you get stuck on the floor, then you might need a bit of luck to get out of it. As for Whirlpool Man, definitely. Same goes for the rest of the stages in DITLL3. I'll upload them pretty much as soon as I get the time to practice and record them.
What happened if all the megaman yoku blocks came together? The answer is this stage. Ive not played this game in years but i remember this one being so difficult ! Its not too bad once youve memorised all the yoku block patterns though
Ah well, I'll find a way around them. Perhaps blocking up their holes with Rainbows. I am pretty curious to see how we'll be able to access the stage. Either way, this will definitely be fun to do. A water boss was missing from this game. :P
When I realized I had to wait to get too Yoku man's stage.....I destroy my computer mentally in rage after doing 7 files and still wondering how to enter his stage but it doesn't matter I got to the stage and thanks for the video.
The fake Yoku block enemies act like the Picopico-kun enemy from Mega Man 2(the second Wily Stage boss) except they are less dangerous and form from a single yoku block instead of 2 blocks.
Yeah Dx I couldn't help but have a sense of dread upon seeing that they will continue spawn. o.O and the midboss (yes, midboss) has a seahorse-squirt thing spawner, so this should be fun. A water boss was indeed missing. :D
Lucianacifer Remakes I don't think that's what changes it. If memory serves, that has a random chance of happening every time you go to the shop. Pretty sure it's a reference to a character MegaphilX likes.
I bet omega yoku man before normal yoku man because of the difference in his omega form when I fought yoku man normal it tripped me up because of the energy shot
Well from the preview video, it looks like they continually spawn from little holes in the backgrounds. And they appear to take 3 shots each. Fun. Dx I am looking forward to DITTL3 as well. Very fun :D
It definitely requires some luck. Ha.... I can't wait for Whirlpool Man's stage. Looks very neat, especially the gimmick and the seahorse enemies. Looks like they behave like Squirts. Hoo boy. xD DITLL3 is looking great so far, I definitely agree. It's a fun game.
8 robot masters and now they have 9 instead of 8 and 9 robot masters has another one and it's whirlpool man so which means the game has now 10 robot masters dang so creative MegaPhilX very well done indeed this fan game is awesome
Yeah definitely. First time felt quite long, and granted this IS a lengthy stage it is based on memorization. Enemy placement is what you have to watch for and even so, it's not, TOO bad. That last room can be a little nasty to get through, buster only or not but hey. And on the subject of special stages, planning to record a video of Whirlpool Man's stage if/when it get's released?
Oh man, the squirts. Hopefully there's no gigantic lantern fish. The gimmick in that stage reminds me of something, but I can't think of it... maybe I'm thinking of Wily 1 in DITLL2. Speaking of which, I'm very much so looking forward to that. I have a few theories for who goes to who. :P
Bass Heller I'd say "Hologram landscape". The song implies electronic, as if inside a computer-like device. While the stage itself isn't set within a computer per se, there are several hints that point to the level being covered in holograms, from the globe at the beginning of the stage to those Mega Man clones to even an enemy type designed to blind Mega Man. (This isn't implausible once you consider the fact that Mega Man 2 featured an hologram meant to trick Mega Man near the end. That hologram gimmick seems pretty popular among fan works, as far as I can see.)
Man... can that make you go " freaking" " CRAZY".. with the clairvoyant crap, and zening, and morphing into crap, and wondering.. if you're delusional, and seeing stuff because it's so 3d. it's like the person's ghost is.. right next to you, and can visit you. It's confusing.. because you can Morph into anything, and be someone else. You can fly on top of the ceiling, and hang like superman. You can go inside someone's body, and I can see it's ghost inside my tummy because it's 3d. I can even see my skeleton inside my body.. when it rains, and lightening.. strikes in the sky. It reflects inside of me, and I think it puts more juice in me or something. Oh it's hard... it confuses people, and it makes you see things, and it can make you look " nuts" because other people can't see it, same with being clairaudient, hearing people's voices without being on the cell phone or direct conversation. I just can't read people's mind. But I'm glad.. I'm clairvoyant. I think that's a fun gift to mess with if it's for good reason. You can possess people, and control it's body since our body is just a host, and not just our ghost.
+Dror Bartal That's pretty much a fan term for the Disappearing Blocks. It's unclear where they even got the term. Just check Google Translate, and "yoku" is Japanese for "often".
Technically this stage is really easy, but I still think it's by far the worst stage in the game. Yeah you can memorize the portions after you die to all of them which can make subsequent playthroughs fun, but such severe trial and error is never a good thing. I don't neccessarily think it's the fault of whoever designed the level either. I just think they picked a really bad gimmick to base a stage off of as a whole. It's like Rainbow Man 2.0 to me. What can you really do with this kind of gimmick to make it not intensely trial and error heavy and not so full of instant death? I think the concept itself of Yoku Man is a bad one that leads to him having a really unenjoyable stage. Where's the fun in getting 4 game overs just to figure out how to learn to get better at a stage?
The whole concept behind this stage is pretty brilliant taking such an anxiety filled gameplay mechanic and making an entire robot master and stage based off of it. Even the music uses the sound effect.

Long story short, if you play Yoku Man's stage, you're gonna have a bad time... And that's _NOT_ an Undertale reference. XD
@@TBONE_2004 lol
That has to have mess up some players if they use the sound as a cue for those blocks though, with the music
@@TBONE_2004 I might go one further and claim Yoku Man as the most difficult and most frightening Robot Master in all of Megaman history.
I gotta admit, the first time I saw the yoku spikes I laughed. What a crazy, wickedly evil idea.
