I was the same. Well, kinda. I'd already been through some rough breakups by then, but it took me a while not to hear baa baa black sheep and instead appreciate the song for what it is.

I don’t believe he ever went to Eurovision. They entered the song in the OWN Eurovision contest which is a RUclips competition for songs and he didn’t win either. They came 9th. But like I said, it isn’t the real Eurovision anyway.
They came first in the triple J hottest 100 in 2012 (so songs from 2011). Which considering it's open public voting rather than expert panel... well I'll let you judge but there were 1.4million votes cast.
The female singer's name is Kimbra, she's from New Zealand. I highly recommend you listen to some of her songs. "Come into my head", "Plain Gold Ring" and "Settle Down" are three of my favorites. I recommend her live versions of her songs because she's a loop artist (she's been looping before it became popular) and she records all of the individual sound layers of her songs live before putting them together and singing the melody over all of the vocal loops.
