I didn't think the Spell Hunter would be this strong so fast. I'm thinking it may drop in power a little but as each expansion comes out it can only get better with more spell support. Very cool concept for a deck wonder if more Loatheb type cards will be printed.
yeah of course it's strong vs people who are playing and testing random crap, wait for the meta to settle before deciding it's strong p.s so far from the deck list it looks like any midrange/tempo/agro deck destroys this tell me if i'm wrong
KappaPride clash costs more money than hs surprisingly. People spend at least 1000 every time a new legendary comes out just to be able to use it on ladder.
Naoufal E Hearthstone card collecting can be entirely skill based though (7 arena wins pays for another arena), whereas the challenges and tournaments in clash always cost gems.
I think they're way more similar than both sides think. In terms of legendaries, both can be replaced but at a major cost of effectiveness. In terms of reward based on skill, new arenas in CR unlock cooler and more useful cards, and in HS, arena runs pay for themselves if you are good enough, plus you get a pack. They both require you to pay a shit load if you want to be top tier and both games have entirely broken strategies and a cancerous community.
I love that reference to eli elezra! Eli elezra at the table with Lex Veldhuis, Lex bluffs huge four times and Eli says that Lex is the best player on the field today. Someone responds "Really? The best player?" Eli answers "Today. Today. Today"
this garbo deck will disappear like quest shaman last expansion in about a week, now everyone is trying new shit , there is no counter yet, this deck lack draws and no heal , will get burn out fast.
well i can tell you i have won once against it with my raza priest deck but my starting hand was raza kazakus and anduin, i also lost a game against it as raza priest and that was a much more normal game, i've also seen brian kibler go 6-0 with it i think and now thijs just went 7-0 so maybe it actually isn't bad
He Richard tell us all why its garbage. Not your opinion but facts. It has removal, pressure, hand refill, and minion generation. To my side is actually very good. And the spellstone is insane maybe the best one.
what is happening at 3:13 ? i see the counter spell pop but did he use any skill ?? i only see him target himself to trigger the enemy secret ? what am i missing
I saw kibler use only 1 mark and instead of the second he used the dogy that shots an arrow (idk the name ) and also kibler replaced 2 unleash with 2 deal 3-5 dmg if you have a beast ( i am not good at names) anyways wich is better ?
That's only because the 3 waifus haven't emerged yet. Once Murloc Paladin starts running Lynessa and Tempo Rogue starts running Sonya and Big Spell Mage hits the top tier, rip.
Basically how spell hunter works: Turn 1-6: Play secrets, summon wolves, go face with weapon and keep hero powering Turn 7: Play the weapon and fill your hand with kill commands Ggez easy game easy life
Personally, when I heard of To My Side! I hated the card. Not cause the power level of it, but I knew that we'd get 1 hunter archetype shoved down our throats (see ungoro warlock) I mean, yeah the recruit helps for a big hunter but I hate the idea of opening epics to find To My Side!. If you don't have the full piece of all the hunter spells, the card is literally useless, unlike Kazakus, it is easier to not have duplicates than not have any minions in your deck. (same goes for the hunter legendary weapon.)
I guess but it's not like they have added that many cards for this archetype. To my side and the weapon, that's it. Imo that's worth it for an entirely new Hunter archetype given the class had been stale for so long.
dude I knew I hunt alone was going to be an insane meme little did I know it was a very consistent meme with how Hunter plays but there is a more control oriented package and you can always SMORC with the random 1/3 weapon
Stop hyping up bad decks just because they are good in a metaless state! People without much dust might just craft this bs because of you hyping them... Its fun to play right now but just wait 2 or 3 weeks and its guaranteed trash...
They said it about quest rogue too, the deck which had to get nerfed because of everyone crying how strong it was. Anyway isn't the point to craft this deck early when the meta isn't strong so you can win with it? In two weeks it might be unplayable and you've lost your chance.
Yea maybe but quest rogue was a real highlight, so different to every deck before it and immensly fun to play. This is just a worse mid range hunter probably
It seems like all of spell hunter's wins come from the 5 mana 12/12 I would bet on simple midrange hunter with secrets or secret hunter to be stronger than spell hunter
spell hunter and control hunter... no matter how hard blizzard will try to push them, it just won't happen, they will always remain meme decks. The meta will settle, and people will return to the solid aggro tempo decks. And as for hunter, they will return to the old Highmane midrange hunter or most likely, no hunter at all. Good effort though, but everything can work RIGHT now, try 1-2 months later.
When all cards are tournament standard, Clash Royale is much more skill based than Hearthstone. That being said, I still prefer Hearthstone. I stuck with Clash Royale for a year before I stopped playing as the ladder is almost completely pay to win and the community is absolute cancer. Still, it had potential to be better than Hearthstone
Yzarc111 Clash royale is skillbased, but its not more skillbased than heartstone. I played CR myself and got to Arena 10. sure, its skillbased but you have to be garbage at heartstone if you thibk CR is more skillbased
Dante Silverhult Luck plays a huge component in Hearthstone though it can be mitigated by "playing around" factors. However, as with all deck building games, if you draw poorly and your opponent draws well it's generally GG. In CR (if we are playing tournament standard cards), the only luck component is in your rotation of 8 cards which makes luck play a smaller roll. Of course you can get shafted by a poor rotation in CR but it's less likely to lose you a game if you are a skilled player. Both games require a lot of skill, perhaps it's maybe better to say, high skill is rewarded more in Clash Royale than Hearthstone. Of course if it's ladder through everything out the window, if your opponent has payed more they're probably gonna win.
I agree and would also like to say a lot of the strategy in hearthstone is in the deck building itself whereas cr you can win with pretty much any deck it's just about how you play it
Mm i don't see how hs requires more skill compared to cr Pretty much only part that is rng reliant in cr is the starting hand, while hs seems to be rng infested in many aspects
When no minions hunter was revealed, I quickly thought it will be a fun and viable deck but surprised that everyone is calling it a trash. Oh well just this will be the new keleseth, I said. Now, I got lucky that I got the weapon from the free weapon when you login thingie so I immediately created a deck for it and now I'm spamming ranked with it. I surprise every opponent and almost everyone I wrecked hits that wow emote. I had a lot of fun and surpises. Now I'm on my way to legend with this deck. Win rate is 70% for me so far. Wow I made quite a long post already. My point is, this deck is so underrated.
Edi Tähtinen ah, makes sense. Then replace it with misdirection. Possibly could avoid massive damage late game or even clear out other minions on your opponents side
clash royale more p2w than hearthstone? i can play clash casually with having almost all cards and decent levels f2p, while i cant get any needfull cards in hearthstone without paying shitloads o,O
83 % win rate one day...34 % win rate next day...dude LOL.-.-. this game has become number one game that all laugh at in gamers comunity :) luck based game that is trying to be E-sport and has become E-sport because of marketing yet all understand that HS is riged matchmaking system where you encounter your counters so that you keep playing for long time not progressing nothing :) 2017...i mean these simple poor minded games are self evident today..
Did you really say it's time to come play a skilled game? Honestly? Hearthstone? Pahahah that is probably the dumbest thing i've heard since the last time i watched kripp turn into a crybaby cause he lost a game.
Rodolfo Santos Hearthstone has a much higher amount of RNG than your average card game but 1) it still does require a lot of skill to do incredibly well, otherwise there wouldn't be consistent high-level players and 2) part of skill is knowing when to leverage RNG in your favor (a really basic example is when Kripp took risks with cards like Mad Bomber to get huge board swings). I'm not denying that a lot more luck is involved than normal (see: that recent tournament highlight where the guy Swashburglar'd into Cabalist Tome into Fireball for lethal) but to pretend the game requires no skill is just as asinine as pretending it requires as much skill as some of the more controlled card games around.
Never said the game requires no skill, but it's not a skilled game, not even by a longshot, since you like steps i'll give you a few. To do incredibly well you 1) Abuse whatever decks are OP atm, 2) play for dozens of hours everyday which will inevitably lead you to legend since getting 50% or above win ratio with a good deck can be achieved by any braindead monkey and 3) repeat step 2 until your eyes fall out because HS is 50% luck, 40% how many hours you can throw at it and 10% knowledge / skill you have about the game.
Rodolfo Santos You are seriously underestimating the skill in this game. It's more like 80% knowledge of the game. I remember I started playing when Zoolock was extremely OP and I did win some games just brainlessly throwing minions on the board but eventually as I climbed ranks, control decks destroyed my board and I started consistently losing. You need skill to understand how to anticipate counters, that is probably the biggest win condition in the game.
It's not a skilled game compared to many it's still got a decent skillcap. Like that dude got top 18 legend with control warrior last season, it's hard to imagine anyone but him pulling that off because of his skill with that deck. Blizzard have been pretty smart though to make it so that the volume of games you play matters most like you said.
A Keher Nah man for a more efficient strategy you would use Jade Druid or Shotgun Priest because they were buffed this expansion, the reason why Spell Hunter is good right now is because everyone is experimenting and trying out the new stuff rather than using metadecks and autopilotting through ladder.
Actually there is a deck similar to this that is a bit better. There is a Combo Hunter deck which uses secrets, spells and a few minions including that 7 mana 5/5 worm beast card that costs 1 mana less per minion killed. Its a pretty crazy deck but it looks weak to secret Mage which does the same but better I think. I still think the meta will eventually be Highlander Dragon Priest which was the tops end of last season. It will just get slightly modified to beat whatever else floats to the top. Also ControlLock/DemonLock look pretty solid that will be top decks. Saw Thijs play Weapon Rogue lol and it is broken IF.....IF you can get a good draw, if not its junk. That is how many of these decks out right now will fair against just solid top to bottom proven decks. Can win auto win like 30% of the time but get rekt the other 70% because they rely on lucky draws.
+Troll Gaming Dominating where? the Expansion just started and this deck will be a meme deck in 1 month max... mark my words. Actually don't mark them, you already know that, u just hope. You really think people will push away the aggro tempo decks and play this meme-expensive deck... and a HUNTER one? yea i have dreams too buddy but there is a limit. I hope i am wrong though
Loses to control warlock, demonlock, loses to priest, be it dragon or highlander, wins against the rare rogue, loses to anything remotely aggro. Rekt me so hard I dropped from rank 11 to rank 15. In conclusion, don't waste your time trying to replicate the successes that aren't meant to be replicated.
Well, seeing as I somehow managed to reach rank 2 last season before giving up, I am indeed quite shit, nor do I claim to be good. The whole "replicating success" comment was hinting at the fact us mortals can't possibly match thijs' hearthstoning prowess, so we shouldn't try
I mean you're probably better than me because I've been playing shitdecks at rank 15 for years, but this is only the beginning of the expansion, you shouldn't expect any deck to beat everything because people play "random" things And no conclusion until you played a deck like this at least 100-200 times and you know lots about it
Its NOT EVEN FUCKING FACE HUNTER. Its like you havent played hearthstone since GVG and just came out of nowhere to bitch about hunter of all classes with shit like pirate warrior killing you by turn 4 and raza priest running around.
Uranus actually it can be freee to play if u know resource management I am free to play with all card Including legendaries It is better than hs in the fact that best player always wins (no rng) But lacks deck diversity Also net decking doesn't Work
Cameron Thompson Clash Royale does have RNG involved, mainly in the order in which both you or your opponent draws your cards. But if hearthstone requires less skill, why is the average age of the player base of Clash Royale much lower than the one in hearthstone? A 13 year old could pretty easily understand how Clash Royale works, but it's gonna take a much longer time to fully understand all the mechanics of Hearthstone. Clash Royale is less RNG based, but is less skill based as well.
DqrkExodus well i like both games but from a new players perspective cr is much more active and engaging Whlie hearthstone is a card game And an easy one at that Eg magic the gathering has older player base than hearthstone And is way more dull than hearthstone All 3 games are fun it depends on your perception
I didn't think the Spell Hunter would be this strong so fast. I'm thinking it may drop in power a little but as each expansion comes out it can only get better with more spell support. Very cool concept for a deck wonder if more Loatheb type cards will be printed.
Fujosovich the first time I fought spell hunter I laughed because of how much of a meme I thought it was, I wasn’t laughing 4 turns later
yeah of course it's strong vs people who are playing and testing random crap, wait for the meta to settle before deciding it's strong p.s so far from the deck list it looks like any midrange/tempo/agro deck destroys this tell me if i'm wrong
Steven Glikin nah i played this deck like 30 times almost won every agro/midrange decks. But its very bad against control
Vinicius Raposo lol
I laughed when he cursed at animal companion for giving information

this garbo deck will disappear like quest shaman last expansion in about a week, now everyone is trying new shit , there is no counter yet, this deck lack draws and no heal , will get burn out fast.
it is actually good that it has no draw in it cos u have rhok'delar

He Richard quest shaman died in the first day. This is completely different.
He Richard tell us all why its garbage. Not your opinion but facts. It has removal, pressure, hand refill, and minion generation. To my side is actually very good. And the spellstone is insane maybe the best one.
1:02 WAAAAH! GOLDEN LEGENDARY!
Hey Thijs, which cards could i remove to put in 2 flares ? Thx , lova ya
what is happening at 3:13 ? i see the counter spell pop but did he use any skill ?? i only see him target himself to trigger the enemy secret ? what am i missing
is Call of the Wild necessary? Because some decks don't run it and it will rotate out pretty quick.
Works really well because that 5 Mana cost spell summon 3 3/3 wolfs, play a secret to upgrade is fking op
I saw kibler use only 1 mark and instead of the second he used the dogy that shots an arrow (idk the name ) and also kibler replaced 2 unleash with 2 deal 3-5 dmg if you have a beast ( i am not good at names) anyways wich is better ?
The only thing that this deck misses is removal for eqquipments and such.Aside that,it has everything.
Kozzy Kay it has no card draw besides the weapon, tracking and flare if you even play flare.
That's only because the 3 waifus haven't emerged yet. Once Murloc Paladin starts running Lynessa and Tempo Rogue starts running Sonya and Big Spell Mage hits the top tier, rip.
Lorewalker Choo M. D. Murloc paladin will never run Lynessa.
Lynessa? What a trash
The clash royale meta can be broken by two too op cards, while hearthstone has lots of great deck archetypes
my dream deck for this expansion
What about substituting 1 tracking for a flare?
Basically how spell hunter works:
Turn 1-6: Play secrets, summon wolves, go face with weapon and keep hero powering
Turn 7: Play the weapon and fill your hand with kill commands
Ggez easy game easy life

Thijs not understanding OG lol
dude I knew I hunt alone was going to be an insane meme little did I know it was a very consistent meme with how Hunter plays but there is a more control oriented package and you can always SMORC with the random 1/3 weapon
it's insane how strong it is really haha.

akantorman1 I think its actually a pretty decent deck. Tier 2 tbh.

This deck is bad because priest won't see play

yea i have dreams too buddy but there is a limit.

In my experience with this deck, it rarely wins against anything currently on the ladder, so about 30-40% winrate. At best.
Loses to control warlock, demonlock, loses to priest, be it dragon or highlander, wins against the rare rogue, loses to anything remotely aggro. Rekt me so hard I dropped from rank 11 to rank 15. I hope this deck will become bad in the future, because i hate Hunter class so much.
Krizbi Meh, hunters been getting trash since WotOG. I really hope they will become actually decent soon *Same power level as priest or druids*
Morklock and what's Hunter about? Summon minions and go face with your smorc hero power.
Krizbi No. Aggro hunter is not a thing since WotOG. There is no such thing as face hunter for almost 2 years.
You realize hunter is really bad ever since WotOG right? It's all about pirate warrior and quest rogue
Its NOT EVEN FUCKING FACE HUNTER. Its like you havent played hearthstone since GVG and just came out of nowhere to bitch about hunter of all classes with shit like pirate warrior killing you by turn 4 and raza priest running around.
Clash royale is more skillfull than luckstone
You are mad you invested money in a pay to win game.
Uranus actually it can be freee to play if u know resource management
I am free to play with all card
Including legendaries
It is better than hs in the fact that best player always wins (no rng)
But lacks deck diversity
Also net decking doesn't Work
Cameron Thompson Clash Royale does have RNG involved, mainly in the order in which both you or your opponent draws your cards.
DqrkExodus well i like both games
but from a new players perspective cr is much more active and engaging
Whlie hearthstone is a card game
And an easy one at that
Eg magic the gathering has older player base than hearthstone
And is way more dull than hearthstone
All 3 games are fun it depends on your perception
adway kasture It’s pay to win. You can either play for 2years or pay 3k and get max cards and destroy everyone even if your bad
