I prefer 308, I know the price doesn’t make it easy to stockpile but when you make sure you buy a box or two every week you’d be surprised how fast you can build a good stock.
For anyone who lives in bear territory, particularly brown bear territory, I think that's the best choice. In a shtf situation, you're going to be competing with bears for food and at some point, a bear may decide you're on the menu.
Im content with my RUGER PC9 Carbine Rifle, in 9mm, all ammo matches my CZ 75 pistol, and my Sig 365 pistol in 9mm. Today 3/23 50 round boxes is down to $14. a box in Ohio, 556 is $14 a box for 20 rounds, you do the math
Great points but in my opinion the 7.62 x 39 is the most budget friendly for sure, not to mention is a stronger round, .308 is my rifle and choice but rounds are expensive....
Agreed. I did the math one day and proved to my manager how much more efficient for money 7.62x39 is. That was before the major price hikes though so who know now
I stocked up on 7.62x39 after the election in 2016. Unfortunately these days a case of Wolf or Tula x39 will run ya $350. Possibly still a better deal than 5.56 but todays prices definitely suck.
.357 Mag has been my favorite round for a long time. I own several revolvers and a few lever actions and the combo of .357 Mag & .38 Special is amazing.
Thank you NEA. This, along with my "best pistol caliber for SHTF" (9mm), for most these reasons. My gosh, it really is hard to cut back, stop "collecting" (lovin' my 7.62 COMMIE rounds still, so cheap compared to 7.62 NATO!) and start really training.
I can’t argue with this but my stockpile of 7.62x39 will always be way up there!

Buy weekly. Just remember the shortages we've had in 2008 and 2020. Get it while it's available and you won't be scrambling if shtf
I started reloading large rifle calibers. .223/5.56 is cheap enough to just buy, but you really save money on the larger calibers.

@@travisp11 well said 👏🙏
7.62x39 is my caliber of choice for 300m or less. 7.62 hollow point ammo works allmost like 308win.
Perfect for pig hunting.
.357 lever action to go with the 686 plus

Need more 357 autoloading options
@@monkeybuttdevinlane HELL YES!
Nice!
It's 45 acp because you don't even need to fire a shot to defeat your opponent.
They can feel that "2 WORLD WARS!" vibe from your holster :)
Omg an actual gun video!!!

I know this is aimed at newer folks but I already am stocked up quite a bit for my AK’s
Right On
Gotta love that harder hitting 30 cal round within 200 yds!
The AR15 is an excellent choice for a carbine, just keep it light. It isn’t a rifle, that would be my M1A.
7.5*55 Swiss (equal to 308)
7.62x39 or 5.56
Woohoo new video
I got mine
Roger that. Who's in second place?
9mm CARBINE , Ruger builds a good one
H&H 600 nitro express, just makes practical sense on so many levels.
No one will steal it from you!
