I need to see AFI live! I only started listening to them last year when Burials came out,but over the past year I've listened to all their albums,it's crazy to think how long they've been around! This video really makes me feel like I'm there,but of course nothing beats being there live.I hate when people say things like "You still listen to AFI? It's not 2006,emo isn't cool anymore" like that's so ignorant.I'd love to be with people that know the words to all their songs,and have the same love for this band that I do.Honestly,seeing people singing every word to AFI songs in 2014 warms my heart,lets me know I'm not alone,and I'm not "late to the party" on liking AFI.Over the past year this band has helped me so much,it's crazy to think Burials came out almost a year ago.I feel like I've been listening to them my whole life.
Sorry for the long paragraph,I was getting in my feels,but thanks for uploading this,this was a great performance(I think AFI still "have it" live) and I hope to see them soon!

Yeah man they've been killing it for quite a few years. I used to listen to them back in 01/02 in high school, saw them last year at Coachella and have to say Davey's voice is as good as ever.
It's never "too late to the party" as long as you're genuine my dude.
My only complaint is I wish people would put down their cell phones. But I come from an era where nobody had them at shows haha.
OffLeatherWings I saw them the very next night after this in Ybor City (Tampa) at the Ritz. I listened to them in 06 and they are still just as awesome as they were back in 02 when I first started, so if they are "emo" than "emo" will always be cool!
OffLeatherWings I came to AFI officially because of DREAMCAR. However, I realized now that Girls Gime Grey was my favorite song in highschool but I never actually knew who the band was. Like you I have purchased everything after Art of Drowning and genuinely love the music.
oh my gosh. i was looking for live videos from the shows i was at out of boredom and this came up. thank you so much. being there is def a much different experience but reliving it like this is also wonderful!!!!! you could feel the emotion from davey while you were there. so great!!!!!
I was lucky enough to see them at the 930 club in DC where they did a double encore with Total Immortal as the final song. Epic was an understatement.

They kinda are, it's alittle bit different when you are there, I've seen tons of bands over the years and they really put alot into each performance.
They make up for it with the energetic performance.

+Jordan Perske A little late since they Tour stopped in early 2014 in support of their 9th album Burials. But [Insert Drum Role Here] they have a hardcore band called XTRMST and a Electronic project called Blaqk Audio, which they announced a new album might come out soon.

This crowd must have had sleeping pills or something. The show I went to on Friday was CRAZY!!! This video is great but it doesn't do any justice. Being in the crowd of a sold out show is sooooooo different!!
His stage presence is so much better without all the make up and long hair.

Yup, that's what great about where we live. We're allowed to have different opinions. He looks like someone who's ready to fucking tear it up here instead of someone who's more worried if his eyeliner is straight.
+Lee God no. Coming from someone that saw them several times during the black sails and AOD era that statement couldnt be more wrong. You can say its opinion but i dont even see how it can be debated. There was so much raw energy and passion back then and davey would fly all over the stage performing almost acrobatic moves. Davey performs in a more polished and professional but more subdued way now.

Saw them on the sing the sorrow tour in montreal, playing and vocal were really better than this video, they still can pull it off. The singer is gettin older, he wasn't gooing to keep hitting these high notes forever.
plus, you know, he had vocal surgery right at the end of the StS tour, preventing them from going on tour with The Cure. So, you know, his singing changed a lot after that
I saw him plenty of times before and after STS and minus his awful screams these days his performances are more powerful and accurate than ever. He’s gotten a great dirty vocal back these days which have been absent since Black Sails
