Hey folks! Apologies for the one video this week, I'm moving next week so there are a few things distracting me! We're going on an international streak for the next few videos. Next up are Japan and Greece. 🌍
As always you’re content is great and you are appreciated! You do you and you just know that we are right here baited with anticipation for your next videos.😄 keep up the good work brother!
Shout out to Brooklyn. She’s a true friend, and she’s also very smart. I mean why didn’t the detectives think to do what she did to try finding “Audrey” on Tinder? Let’s all take a second to show some love & appreciation to Brooklyn for being a real one!!
HONESTLY! when i heard that part, the first thing i said aloud was, "my god that's a really good best friend. I wish someone would do that if I were in that position." maybe i ought to start making some new friends before i keep updating my dating profile 😂 i watch too many crime channels.
The fact that everytime something like this happens, there's the psycopath buying the SAME SET of items from a store makes me wonder, maybe... just MAYBE keep an eye out for people buying that combo?
This is done with online purchases, especially Amazon, but its harder in retail. Those kinds of stores just don't have the infrastructure in place to flag these things easily, and cashiers aren't going to notice. Especially when they're split between different stores anyway.
This is my co-workers cousin. We prayed for her safe return and were heartbroken to find out the truth of what happened to her. She is greatly missed by so many.
I'm a former resident of Lincoln and grew up in Wilber (moved to Texas last year) . This whole thing was terrifying and heart breaking. I very much hope Sydneys family and friends have as much peace love and kindness they their lives as possible.
My dad was brought in as a potential juror on this case. He was asked if he could be impartial, he said no. Wasn’t selected. Can’t blame him after watching this again.
I wonder if you can ever be called into jury duty and lie on the impartial question and be bias the whole time. So as the trial progresses, youve already chosen your outcome nomatter what.
This might be a stupid question (I'm from Scandinavia and English is my 3rd language). Asked, if he can be impartial? Did I understand this correctly? One girl is dead, the other isn't. Could anyone, honestly, be "totally unbiased" here? Seriously?!? Please explain, it must be something I'm misunderstanding. ....not even going to get into this vampire daddy BS.
@@Veruska75 he got called for Aubrey case. You are supposed to focus on the facts when being a juror to see if the prosecution proved their case beyond a reasonable doubt he did it. I assume everyone has biases however if you are unable to put them aside to look at the case objectively and without bias then you are a disservice to our judicial system.
How could the death be an accident when they were caught on surveillance purchasing items to dismember and dispose of a body, before the actual death? The logic of some of these criminals...
These murderers are of the dumb and overconfident variety. The woman has to be one of the worst actors/liars I've seen in true crime. Edit: The worst by far is Chacey Poynter, no contest.
Also the non chalant manner in which the creep described that she died accidently during lots of sex. It was normal for him and he did not even have a tiny smidgen of compassion. Evil!
Way to go, Brooklyn! You did your girl proud up there by getting that number off Tinder. I’m sure she’s smiling down knowing you went undercover badass on them. “No leads? Okay- BFF MODE ACTIVATED. I’ll get a lead…”
right?? the absolute dedication and loyalty it takes to track down the person who could've killed your best friend... such a caring person, i hope they know the good they've done for sydney and anyone affected by these two
sydney was deeply fortunate to have such a truly dedicated friend in her life. brooklyn's a hero AND a real one, and i wish her nothing but healing, peace, and the same love she put out
They say you have a chance of walking past a killer any time you are out but I can't imagine how chilling it was to see Sydney walking past the man she had no idea would be involved in her own murder. Gives me shivers.
seriously though. I am relieved to know that murders like this are super rare . I have a 9mm Ruger, a tazer, and pepper spray, you know, just in case someone comes @ me sideways.
@george floyd Nice children's fantasy, but no. I'll take justice, and judgment, in life, rather than pretend. Pretty sure if any omnipotent deity existed, and cared, then this murder wouldn't have happened. If a deity exists and isn't able to do anything, then they're impotent, and I don't know why I should care about them. If they exist and *won't* do anything, then they're apathetic, and I have doubts about after-life punishment, given their apathy. If you argue that it was "meant to be" and this lovely young woman had to be brutally murdered...for some reason? then you're evil. Your deity is evil. And the deity probably isn't going to punish what was apparently "meant to be." I'm just going to say "no deity exists" and deal with the here-and-now.
Hello, I actually personally knew Sydney Loofe I was working as a security guard at this Menards and Sydney came out to gave me my breaks at the guard shack. Yes Sydney was beautiful, great human being and I'm glad to call her my friend, we would offer talked about random stuff. It was terrible when we found out what happened to her. Thank you for covering this Coffeehouse Crime.
I never knew her but I went to the school about 10 miles from where they found her body (Sandy Creek). That was a rough couple of weeks but I can't even imagine how her family felt. :(
I have been WAITING for someone to cover this case. I didn't know her personally, but she helped me at Menards once shortly before she was tragically murdered. We waited daily with so much hope she would be found alive. From all accounts she was precious amd deserves this coverage of her crime. Thank you again.
Brooklyn’s a good and loyal friend. The police should have gone the extra steps. It was good that you remembered Sydney and focused the last part on her. Very heart-breaking.
Her tattoo saying, "everything will be wonderful someday" made me sad. It's so crazy she crossed his path as she was leaving her work and he was buying the bleach he would later use to wipe away her blood. That is a frightening coincidence.
Her tattoo hurts my heart. It’s lyrics to Everclear’s ‘Wonderful’. I cry every time I hear that song because it’s written from a child’s point of view but after seeing this video, it hurts my heart even more.
This case is so heartbreaking! At 22, my time on this earth was nearly ended by a dating app meet-up. I remember thinking no one would ever find me as I'd traveled to another state and told no one. I would strongly advise against dating apps or at least meeting in public for the first six months. People usually start to drop the mask and show themselves within six months to a year. My sympathy goes out to all of those affected by dating app violence.
@@missondo4887 I didn't realize at the time that my past trauma, along with not-yet-diagnosed autism, affected my ability to see 'red flags.' Thankfully, twenty years after that horrifying date, I'm still alive and much wiser.
Those recommendations are unrealistic. No one is going to talk to you for 6 months before meeting unless they are a weirdo. Sounds like you just didn't bother taking the bare minimum safety precautions that should have been taken for dating on apps, online, long distance or in person.
Going on a blind date with someone who identifies as a vampire can range from listening to a Twilight super fan to getting murdered by a sex cult. In either case I would not recommend it.
I feel it's bad enough to loose your loved one, but for their body to be treated in such a terrible way. To know they were scared, hurt, broken, torn, cut up and scattered in a meaningless way. This family will never recover.
I feel so sad for Sydney, its hard enough to open your heart to possibility. I used to have a tinder profile for about 4 months. I went on one unpleasant date that went nowhere, and another day i was riding the bus to work and a very unappealing, seemingly unwashed middle aged man said, "i recognize you from tinder" and laughed. he kept repeating it again and again like i should have a prepared response for strangers i had absolutely no interest in. I deleted it that afternoon forever. I'd rather be alone, fuck that noise.
What a creep! I deleted Bumble after a week...met a few guys on there...got stood up by one guy that I had really hit it off with (he said he stood me up because I was on a dating app talking to other guys...huh???) and stalked online by another. Bunch of weirdos. Fuck that noise is right.
I bet that made your skin crawl and hair stick up OK end. Yep dating apps are dangerous. Most social media is as well. Only social media I have is RUclips and that suits me just fine lol.
It's so sad hearing these scary stories. I've met some great guys through Tinder, even dated one for a couple years. But yeah, most guys are just weird unfortunately :/
It's terrifying, the killer actually went to the store to purchase items they would use in the victims murder. The victim crossed path with her killer without knowing
It’s sad to see such a young person have their life cut short by a sadist. I couldn’t imagine what her family still goes through mourning their daughters loss. As a parent, I would never be the same again.
@Eternally Profound the way she met her end was so horrible that he should spend the rest of his life in solitary confinement until he’s broken. What he took from her can never be given back. What he did to her family can never be mended. The pain they feel for their daughter is a hell worse than death.
Soulless people like these two always go after people whose purity and innocence shine like a beacon in the darkness of this world. I am absolutely certain that people who are this evil are compelled to destroy beautiful souls like hers because they resent the fact that their souls are full of darkness while her soul is undeniably bright and beautiful. They're hatefully compelled to destroy the light that radiates from truly good people because they shine so brightly. They are, to put it simply, hateful and jealous of the purity that they cannot possess. And, if they can't have it, they're for damn sure going to do their very best to destroy the people that can. In all honesty, it's a clear sign of their pathetically weak corruption. I'd like to believe that they're going rot in hell. However, I'm pretty sure that the actions of these people are so horrifying that even the devil himself casts them into the abyss...
I really appreciate how this channel focuses on the victim's side and celebrate their life rather than being a gorey, insensitive account of the events. Keep it up ❤️
I met my boyfriend on Tinder. We texted for a good two weeks before I actually agreed to meet him in person. We went to the movies and to dinner. It took another few days before I agreed for him to come to my house, which I was sharing with my brother. Before I went to his house, a good month after we started to officially date, I gave his address and phone number to my brother and sister. When she asked me if I was scared something would happen, I told her "No, but I watch enough true crime shows and one of the first thing I think is how stupid they are to go to a stranger's appartment without telling anybody where they are going" 6 years later, I'm still wtih him :)
Oh my gosh, this happened in my hometown while I was in college. You’re the first I’ve seen to cover this case. Thanks for bringing attention to it Adrian, it was a scary incident for the community and brought some extra awareness to safety regarding online dating.
The chapter also covered this story, and i am feeling for poor Sydney… it still makes me sick to see these two people acting like nothing happened while she was already dead
I'm in Lincoln myself and have had ...incidents happen because of dating apps. I only wish Sydney's incident was as minor as my problems had been. I know it isn't specifically a Lincoln problem, as a lot of predatory people will use dating apps, but hearing her story while thinking about the shit I had to deal with myself...surreal
The worst part to me was that, they were able to go on socials and elaborate on how innocent they are and how they wish Sydney and her family all the best. It's crazy how there are those without a heart, who walk on the same world as us
Poor Sydney. She seemed like a real sweetheart. I've completely given up on dating apps and will probably be single forever, but that sounds better than what happened to her. RIP Sydney and glad justice was served!
Been on and off dating apps for bout 3 years and finally decided to just quit dating apps all together. Listen to your intuition and take your time getting to know a person before doing something serious like meeting them at their home or letting them into yours.
Honestly Instagram is a good place online and try to say hi to people who look interesting outside even if it's in the supermarket or trainstation 😊 if someone is interested in you they'll talk back! ❤️ Don't give up on love, it will find you when you least expect it. Just take care of your look when going outdoors and be open and social so others have a open door to your heart!
Heartbreaking story.... and you did a lovely thing at the end of this story by bringing our focus onto the wonderful person Sydney was and taking the light off the other pair of monsters. May they rot in hell for eternity.
This makes me feel especially sad for this girl, all she wanted was to find someone to love and to love her, I don't think that's a huge thing to ask! And to be killed for simply looking hurts my heart
@@TK-ui2th okay, I'm halfway through the video...what did I miss or has it not come up yet? What does smoking weed with a girl who has a boyfriend have to do with it? You're not allowed to smoke weed with a chick if she has a BF?
@@TK-ui2th *ok i was mistaken and it was a date. This question is still warranted: also, let's say you're correct and it was a dating thing, why do you assume that she was aware the psycho she met up with was in a relationship?
"After graduating, she made the wrong turn, hung out with wrong crowd, drug abuse" Sounds like me at 16 after my grandfather died. Makes me realise how lucky I am to have sorted stuff out
thank you for having the humility to say this when so many others don't. the ugly truth is that any one of us can fall this far from grace with enough isolation. any one of us can be wounded and led astray by someone seeking to isolate us from our social groups. any one of us could become detached enough from our human social needs/tools to hurt someone. every person who's ever committed violence against another person _learned_ it from somewhere; no one is born like that. it's taught to people in particularly vulnerable positions, because they're subject to it themselves in the first place. violence is a double-edged source of trauma, and the human psyche suffers significantly at either end. how could someone be okay before, during or after a violent crime?
Same here I took a wrong turn at the age of 13 started to smoke heroin (when I first tried it, I never knew you could smoke it) got addicted to it and was on and off it for absolute years. Turned my life around now thankfully. I realise now looking back how lucky I was jumping into people's cars to buy drugs, it's terrifying.
@Lame Tube Thank you so much for your kind words, it really means a lot. I'm sorry for your losses, it really is a terrible drug. I can count on more then 2 hands people I've lost to it or it was a cause some how and its awful.
@Lame Tube wow thank you so much for your comment it really touched my heart. Thank you for taking to time to read it. I agree with everything you said. I'm not religious but I'm very spiritual....then again I won't take the Lords name in vain and trying to do better to be better everyday. I also want to get married in a church so perhaps I'm more religious then I thought? As I genuinely actually want to start going to church as I do believe their is a God. Thank you so much for your prayer it means a lot to me. You seem like such an amazing person and sending love and positivity to you from the UK.
Never go on a date without giving either family or friends your dates info. Name, pic, phone number and where you plan to meet. Be sure to always meet in public and don't let your date pick you up at your house or vice versa. Be safe out there. My heart breaks for Sydney's family and friends 💔
I stopped letting people pick me up for dates in my 20s after having to call a cab after a guy didn’t want to take me home. He wanted to head back to his place for more fun in his words, I wasn’t having fun, some of the things he was saying during the date put up red flags and made me nervous. I didn’t get back into his car and left from the bar and luckily he didn’t follow. After that I drove myself to my dates. Always did public dates. Always sent info to a friend or roommate just in case. Looking back at my dating habits when i was young i got lucky. There were times when things easily could of turned bad. This story is so sad and its unfortunate the amount of stories like this that are out there.
@@EdynBlair Yeah, same, a lot of my dating habits in my early 20s I was very blessed to be alive. Too many creeps one of which did try and take me back to his house but I wasn't having it. Ever since I just didn't bother. And yes I would always let my roommates know where I was going. I am so thankful to have met back up with my childhood crush and we are happily married with a baby.
@Richard Homan unsure why you think that, letting people know where you are, sending a photo of the license plate of the car that is picking you up( if you let them pick you up), having a photo of the person to send them and actually driving yourself to a date wouldn’t be helpful? Even if they aren’t using their real name taking those steps do help.
Back when I was dating, along with that information, I always got a picture of my dates license plate and sent it to my parents. Didn't matter that my date wasn't picking me up.
I will always appreciate the effort you put towards making your videos about the victims instead of giving their killers the attention they want. The fact that you always make it the victim's case and you tell us more about the victims is really considerate
I used to work for the news station around there. I actually had to edit the exact video you showed where Trail slit his throat and blur a good bit of the blood. Really gruesome.
@@camvin575 I got out of news a few years ago thankfully! This was definitely up there, there was a fire that had some really rough footage to get through
As a domestic violence survivor who met some of my abusers through dating services pre-internet, and over dating apps later, I learned to keep myself safe by embracing life without dating or getting into any kind of intimate relationships. I’ve been very content and at peace for the several years since I stopped trying to live up to other people’s expectations for my life; having endured the drama and dangers that were always a part of living up to their expectations instead of listening to or valuing my own intuition. It took many years of suffering through many traumas and repeated cycles of abuse before I was able to garner the strength to push back against the negativity of other people’s opinions, discover, respect, and self-validate my own values and boundaries, and follow my true path of joyful solitude.
Well.done.Sadly you are right and it is great to see you back on your feet. However to stereotype everyone in the same group is unfair to decent living people. We all.get burned some time or another.Learn from it but life still.goes on.
I hope you remain open to the possibility of finding someone. Not actively seeking, just open. I did the same thing. Went for solitude because dating was just so awful. And after I did that, I met my now partner who I've been with 6 years. He is a lovely man. There are some decent people out there, but you do need to be willing to be on your own to find them.
I met the most amazing human being I've ever met on Tinder but that was after 7 years of going on dates with narcissists and duds. Good people are a needle in a haystack on Tinder.
@@katiedunlap235 I know right. I do know ppl who have met their special someone and married so I guess it is possible but 95% of the men are nuts or narcissists😒
I was roommates with Sydney and it had only been a year since I saw her when this happened.. I miss her so much every day, and she was one of the nicest and giving people you could ever meet. Thanks for covering this
Thanks for sharing this story. I'm from Nebraska and her story was so sad. She wanted to have fun on a date and instead ran into these awful people. May she rest in peace.
May she rest in peace😢 my wife and I kept it safe by first, just over the phone, then facetime and for the first few dates we only met to public places. If the person won't show their face like on facetime or in public, that's a huge red flag. Stay safe everyone
I'm really glad you covered this one, and made the ending so important about saying who Sydney was as a person. When I was in my 20s, I met someone through online dating, and was subjected to a violent encounter. I was almost killed, and barely survived. I remember thinking that nobody would know what happened to me. I am lucky to survive, but I weep for Sydney and her family, and anyone who has gone through the sheer terror. I can imagine exactly what she felt emotionally/mentally in her last moments, and I hate knowing people out there have suffered such painful deaths at the hands of cruel, senseless violence. I hope she finds peace, and her family and friends can heal together. Nothing can bring back such a beautiful soul, and I wish I had better words to express how tragic her loss is.
@@karlhans6678 yay, she got to live , that’s what she gets . she was taught a lesson early in life to help herself tremendously throughout the rest yea .. what she gets for ho-in around . she got wiser for that one karl thank u for recognition on her wisdom .
these stories always break my heart as someone who met the love of my life on tinder. it's horrific how things like this happen to people just trying to find love or have fun and end up losing their lives
Aubrey in his first video: The police are crucifying me! It's a conspiracy! I'm such a victim here! Bailey: I'm so sorry you (the family) are going through this and I hope they find her soon. Aubrey: Oh yeah, I'm supposed to be concerned for her. Uhh... yeah, ditto. God, those two are completely pathological. At least one of them knew how to _fake_ being empathetic. Geeze.
Seriously. How deluded and arrogant can someone be to think hijacking a missing girl’s social media, playing the victim and spouting anti-police propaganda, would make them any less suspicious. 😓
@@mightymouse1005what is the narc smirk? I see so many saying stuff like this, but as someone who has worked with a terrifying number of narcs and psychos and everything i don't know of just *one* smirk 😂 their silence is the only truly terrifying expression imho lol
Even more suspicious is the fact they posted the video on the MISSING PERSON’S FACEBOOK ACCOUNT. If that’s not a ‘We’re suspicious and should immediately be investigated’ sign, I don’t know what it is.
And did they really think that they cant track their locations and timeline from their phones😂 if i was doing something that bad i sure as hell wouldnt keep my phone with me while ditching body parts and evidence in the woods
These stories are so horrific and evil that they almost sound like fiction. You do a great job delivering them. But this is a heartbreaking story, Sydney was so innocent. This setup and betrayal, the worst possible. I’m happy that for the past 10+ years, that every night before I go to bed, I pray for all the people who love animals and nature, it’s a special prayer for a special purpose. And though it can’t stop all the terrible things that happen on this earth, it can have a special value, and I’m very glad to know that Sydney was covered by these prayers, and hopefully those of other people as well. RIP to a beautiful sweet soul.
I love that you honoured the memory of the victim in the end. That is the most important thing: remember those who were taken from their loved ones. Also, I loved your cat appearing to say hello. What a beautiful boy!
Should Home Depot program an alarm to go off when someone buys bleach, saw, razor, and trash bags? Every 3rd murder story has those items seen together on store surveillance videos.
@@diannt9583 I work in retail. A while back, a customer bought a varied bunch of knives. He didn't make eye contact and I didn't ask. I told myself he was opening a restaurant....
I live in Lincoln, this was an enormous heartbreak for our city. Although I had never met Sydney in person, she was very much within my friend's circles. One of which is my best friend. The many people who had a connection with Sydney and also with me, meant I knew of her long before her long before this. Not an ill word had ever been mentioned. Her story goes beyond what can be put into words. She was so effing loved, adored, and respected. For being simply an outlier in her life, her loss was felt as if I wasn't. I can't express it enough, those monsters don't deserve to breathe.
I also had mutual friends with Sydney. I'm particularly protective over this case because I saw all the shit talking happening within OUR OWN TOWN, and how true crime creators will often invite inappropriate speculation or just...really really gross behavior to have over a REAL person or REAL people.
This is so unfortunate. I have two beautiful daughters and will have teach them safety in dating. My parents never did and I put myself in dangerous situations to avoid bad rumors. For example, I married a guy I only knew for two days because he said he would commit suicide if I don't. I could not talk to my parents because I was afraid of being accused of losing my virginity and disrespecting them. I decided it was easier to marry a manipulator then ruin my reputation. He knew how strict my family was and used it to his full advantage.
The last part of this case really stays with me, because currently I am doing the same for a friend of mine who I met during COVID he lost everything and I am truly blessed and grateful for all I can do for him. Most of all it makes me happy and contented with my life. RIP SYDNEY.
I love how respectful you are when you present cases. After all, the cases spoken of are not creepy bedtime stories, but are about real people who have lost their lives and have a network of grieving family members. Other channels tend to lack this respect and present cases simply for views and shock factor with little regard for how devastating this event was for the family.
Completely agree. Too many people get entertainment value out of another real person's anguish. I find it disgusting. Including those videos of real 911 calls. I don't see how people can watch that shit.
Oh Adrian your kitty is absolutely adorable and definitely helped my heart not feel as broken with such an intense story. As others have said I also appreciate the effort you put in highlighting how wonderful the victims were. You are quite good at this and are only getting better!!! 🖤
I howled at "Some of these rules included contacting him every three hours, not talking to other men, and calling him 'Daddy'. Now don't get me wrong, these rules were terrible - especially the last one."
I met my 1st husband on a dating app. Things seemed great but once we were married he changed and my friends around me saw signs I did not and helped me see the truth. Before things could get physical with me, I found strength and courage to leave. When dating and even during marriage, I always kept my close circle informed of plans, ensuring should anything happen to me, someone would know where I was supposed to be and who I was with.
You and your friends are wise. Unfortunately, many others are not like that and stay in toxic situations. Telling themselves lies like "I can't leave". Giving loyalty to ugly people that don't deserve it.
This is very tragic and heartfelt condolences to her family...it would be great if you could have a look at the case of Carly Ryan in Adelaide South Australia...extremely tragic as well with similar undertones and her mother's response since is very uplifting..to say the least..
Trail told the other two witches that he was planning to make $1 million with a snuff film with the ritual killing for power. They called Boswell and Trail "Mommy and Daddy". Trail spoke frequently of killing and dismembering someone. Sydney's upper left arm and all of her internal organs were missing. After his suicide attempt and before the end of his trial, Trail had 2 heart attacks and a stroke. He's still on death row.
They chose the wrong name for it, anyway. Aren't witches meant to be one with nature and have a "Do no harm" law? This is just shitty people assigning themselves shitty LARP tags to excuse their depravity.
Obviously murderers are very "gross", they are evil, but in saying that *all* people who call themselves Witches are gross is an overgeneralization. I actually know something about this, so I am going to reply. I'm a Anthropology/Social Science major who focused on Minority Religions and Subcultures. There are many different people who call themselves Witches, some are herbal healers, and some belong to a very positive actual religion called Wicca, which is recognized by the Armed forces, the US Government, and by Religious Scholars and Social Scientists who have taken the effort to seriously study them. Wiccans are people who tend to be very Ecological, and who worship a loving Mother Goddess. They are very ethical, kind, honest people who don't worship Satan or call up demons or curse people. They are actually forbidden to do any harm to anyone. Did you know that? They frequently get blamed for things that Satanists and evil cult members do ( both the FBI and Law Enforcement does not recognize Wicca as a cult, and they've studied it in depth). I've known these people for 35 years, I even married one of them. I'm been to many of their beautiful seasonal rituals, lots of colorful costumes, music and poetry but no sacrifices or devil worshiping. If they knew of anyone committing a crime, they would be the first to call the police. I know from personal experience that most people have misconceptions about them and treat them badly. Those female groupies were not "Witches". Wicca doesn't involve murder or vampirism or "inhaling someone's last breath". My husband was the kindest, most honorable man I have ever known. It disturbs me when people call *all* Witches, including my husband, gross. Thinking God is a mother and loving nature isn't gross.
I love love love how you focus more on the victim and often tell the story through their POV. It's fresh and very respectful. I've heard this story a couple of times. It's more about the killer. It seemed almost like my first time hearing about it from the way you tell it. Keep it up brother! Your doing good and respectful work ✌🏾✌🏾
I was born and raised in Nebraska. Thank You very much for covering this story. I did not know Sydney, but had several friends who knew her personally. It was such a tragedy what happened to her. I truly appreciate you covering this story about someone from our community to keep her memory alive.
This one really upset me. Sydney was clearly a lovely person. The planning and premeditation that went into this was huge. They both had plenty of time to stop the other. Ending with words about Sydney was very sensitive. (And loved the outtake too!)
You do such a great job with tone. I always get the sense that you are genuinely trying to share these people's stories for good- whether it's honoring the deceased with a glimpse into who they were and what we collectively lost or simply shining light on risks that we all should consider. My opinion is that you approach these stories with the appropriate respect and consideration for the families/memories. Well done!
Brooklyn is a GD badass. Mad respect for her. Hope she's doing well today, because she deserves it. Poor Sydney. Aubrey's a f'ing idiot. "Freedom of speech" does not mean "freedom from consequences." You can't just say whatever garbage you want to say and expect no blowback. Also: these fools buy a murder cleanup kit in advance, but try to claim it was an accident. Sure, Jan! Great work as always, Adrian-good luck with your move!
Right? Why is it that the people who go on and on about "freedom of speech" never seem to know what it actually means? it only means that the government can't throw you in jail for having an opinion. it doesn't mean that other people, businesses, and other private institutions can't call you out on whatever you decide to say. As if it wasn't bad enough that this poor girl lost her life to these fools.
I live in the state of Nebraska, I remember this case and it was so heartbreaking, I watch a lot of true crime shows and I instantly knew they had something to do with it, it was just too weird. I hope she rests in peace, and she knows that justice was served when they were caught
I so appreciate the care you take in telling these stories. Thank you. (And your cat??? Please feel free to end every video from now on with that magnificent floof!!)😺
Just have to say, I'm impressed by your storytelling. The last thing you said about Sydney as a person brought me to tears. That was so sweet. Great job on the ending. Thank you!
What I love about this Adrian us that he says "this is the case of THE VICTIM" . It's not about the killer. The victim is the true protagonist. Also, when he insults the murderer is truly fantastic. He speaks his mind and what we all feel.
I agree.. the beautiful Kitty is a welcome ending to this terribly sad and gruesome case. @Adrian pls make it an ending piece in your Videos.. Your Kitty clearly wants to put its two bits.

Don't worry, predators and criminals have had to wait for such apps to do their evil deeds. This app or another, a store, a club, a friend party, a park, work or school, a wedding... People with bad intentions will use ANY opportunities they can.
@@Libellulaire But you have to admit it does help them having an app with access and information to any people in their area willing to meet up with a stranger.
So are bars for date rapists. Schools, Libraries, and Playgrounds for Pedos. Dating apps are no different they give the sick opportunities of chance. Just need to be careful.
Gorgeous cat! Such a sad story though, I know a lot of people who use dating apps who, despite me telling them about these stories, take absolutely no precautions whatsoever. It’s worrying
You're fluffy cat is so beautiful, Adrian. I hope your move goes smoothly and you get settled quickly. Thank you for all of your hard work on these tragic stories. Keep up the great work and I can't wait for the next story!
Hello Adrian! This is the first documentary of yours that I have watched. I am so happy to have discovered you. I greatly appreciate your dignity of presentation, and all your research and insight. I look forward to watching all of the rest of your documentaries. Thank you so very much! I had never heard about this unimaginable, horrific case before. My heart goes out to Sydney, her family and friends. Aubrey Trail is requesting to be put to death immediately as of this date. The decision is now in the hands of the U.S. Supreme Court.
Have been watching your videos since January last year and have to say you really do deserve your success. I’ve seen videos on this case before but watching this one really brought the human out in Sydney, something I’ve never felt before on other videos. You are a wonderful filmmaker and a very lovely human. Keep doing you man!
The ending with your cat was so cute and helped bring the mood up a bit from this tragic event. My 2 cats ears perked up when they heard those meows. 😻
Thank you for covering this case @Coffeehouse Crime! Such a sad story that makes me sick. I worked at the Nebraska Department of Corrections when Trail was waiting to be sentenced. I have never physically felt the way I did when I met Trail and am positive I was in the presence of the devil. Also, thank you for the way you represented Nebraska, most creators make us Nebraskans out to be an inbred, corn farming, and cow raising farmers lol.
What a sweet young lady Sydney was, it's no wonder she had such a great friend that went out on a limb to help the police. Sydney taking in a coworker who was in need, is more than enough information to show that she was a kind hearted young woman who deserved far more mercy than what those deviants afforded her in her last moments alive.
Glad you have that beautiful feline guardian, Adrian. Helps to have someone around to keep the scary weebles away when necessary! Thanks for the great videos!
Wow :( Sydney looks like such a ray of light in all of her photos, that smile is so warm. I can’t believe this sweet sweet angel ended up in the hands of such monsters. My heart hurts for her family.

Ever worked as a cashier? Trust me after the first dozen customers you stop paying attention to what people are buying & just ring it up
Well Said.
This is done with online purchases, especially Amazon, but its harder in retail. Those kinds of stores just don't have the infrastructure in place to flag these things easily, and cashiers aren't going to notice. Especially when they're split between different stores anyway.

This case is both sad and so scary, she didnt have a clue.
I got teary eyed when you talked about her helping her homeless colleague. May the killers rot in hell.
Rot in hell, you say?
Aren't we all already there (or here, rather)?...

Probably not coincidence. If he knew she worked there, he probably went in to see if he could see her

NO serious person is using dating apps.

@Eternally Profound the way she met her end was so horrible that he should spend the rest of his life in solitary confinement until he’s broken. What he took from her can never be given back. Thank you so much for respecting the dead. As well as empathy for her family
@Eternally Profound life in prison is better for them
Soulless people like these two always go after people whose purity and innocence shine like a beacon in the darkness of this world.
However, I'm pretty sure that the actions of these people are so horrifying that even the devil himself casts them into the abyss...

thank you for having the humility to say this when so many others don't. the ugly truth is that any one of us can fall this far from grace with enough isolation. any one of us can be wounded and led astray by someone seeking to isolate us from our social groups. any one of us could become detached enough from our human social needs/tools to hurt someone. every person who's ever committed violence against another person _learned_ it from somewhere; no one is born like that. it's taught to people in particularly vulnerable positions, because they're subject to it themselves in the first place. violence is a double-edged source of trauma, and the human psyche suffers significantly at either end. how could someone be okay before, during or after a violent crime?

My heart breaks for Sydney's family and friends 💔
I stopped letting people pick me up for dates in my 20s after having to call a cab after a guy didn’t want to take me home. I didn’t get back into his car and left from the bar and luckily he didn’t follow. After that I drove myself to my dates. Always did public dates. Always sent info to a friend or roommate just in case. Looking back at my dating habits when i was young i got lucky. There were times when things easily could of turned bad. @Richard Homan unsure why you think that, letting people know where you are, sending a photo of the license plate of the car that is picking you up( if you let them pick you up), having a photo of the person to send them and actually driving yourself to a date wouldn’t be helpful? Too bad this wouldn’t stop people from finding themselves in Sydney’s position
That only protects you from catfishing.
That wouldn't have helped at all in this case.
I still can't get over how people who murder someone always mentions how THEIR life is ruined.
That’s how narcissism works
Nothing can bring back such a beautiful soul, and I wish I had better words to express how tragic her loss is.
thats what you get for hoing around
He has the narc smirk 😏
Why didn't the shiela get the death penalty?
@@mightymouse1005what is the narc smirk? I see so many saying stuff like this, but as someone who has worked with a terrifying number of narcs and psychos and everything i don't know of just *one* smirk 😂 their silence is the only truly terrifying expression imho lol
Oh this is just heartbreaking for those that loved her. Beautifully told by you Adrian with such class and respect for her and her family. Thankyou x
Posting a video about your innocence while you're on the run dressed like the Uni-bomber is very convincing.
Very well done! Your cat is even getting into the story and says don't be done yet!
Should Home Depot program an alarm to go off when someone buys bleach, saw, razor, and trash bags?
Every 3rd murder story has those items seen together on store surveillance videos.
No
The issue with that however, Syz, is the other 2/3 of buyers would probably get very angry even if it was just to be "safe"
Most people who buy that combo are moving to a new home that needs a bunch of work.
@@diannt9583 I work in retail. A while back, a customer bought a varied bunch of knives. He didn't make eye contact and I didn't ask. I told myself he was opening a restaurant....
you haven't heard of capitalism
The tribute you pay towards the victims and the beautiful stories you tell about them makes me addicted to this channel even more.
This was my principals daughter. it really made our community hurt. prayers for the family
So often it's someone with a heart of gold that this kind of thing happens to and really hurts to think about. Rest well, Sydney.
Joshua nuts
I said the same thing in a different comment thread.
It'd always the good ones that are taken from us too soon.
That's just what friends and family say after someone dies. In reality she was a basic bitch who was too horny to see the red flags.
Other channels tend to lack this respect and present cases simply for views and shock factor with little regard for how devastating this event was for the family.
this.. i use to like That Chapter until his story-telling began to change with more unjokes that didn't sit well with me.
@@zahra-ld7br yeah he just does a bit too much joking for me
Completely agree. Too many people get entertainment value out of another real person's anguish. I find it disgusting. Including those videos of real 911 calls. I don't see how people can watch that shit.
I totally agree
Oh Adrian your kitty is absolutely adorable and definitely helped my heart not feel as broken with such an intense story. As others have said I also appreciate the effort you put in highlighting how wonderful the victims were. You are quite good at this and are only getting better!!! 🖤
I’m a dog person, but that is a gorgeous and exceptional looking cat. Yes, the purr-fect way to counteract the story.
I *SO* very much agree. A very adorable ending to such a sad and monstrous story.
Thank your Adrian, thank you kitty! 😍
I howled at "Some of these rules included contacting him every three hours, not talking to other men, and calling him 'Daddy'. Now don't get me wrong, these rules were terrible - especially the last one."
The woman didn’t seem to mind those rules!!! (what ever he wants he gets) as long as women willing.
I love Adrian's humour! if you're not paying full attention you miss it, it's brilliant.
It's wild how someone this criminally insane can easily amass an entire harem of women. Extremely disturbing
@@elainevankat5353 There was a lot of drugs involved too, Adrian skipped that bit out of respect for the victim but I think it's relevant.
My peninsula is near you momma gullet
One thing I really like about this channel’s videos is our barista takes the time to highlight the victim’s life at the end.
I noticed a lot of times people won’t show you who they really are until you get married
@@puddingpearpeachses1137 thanks for that as I've never been married and never likely to 😁
Smart! And congratulations on your incredible strength. It’s very hard to leave these coercive and controlling psychopaths. All the best to you.
I don't understand, why did you marry him if you couldn't even trust him with where you were then? I mean marriage seems like a huge step
This is very tragic and heartfelt condolences to her family...it would be great if you could have a look at the case of Carly Ryan in Adelaide South Australia...extremely tragic as well with similar undertones and her mother's response since is very uplifting..to say the least..
I really appreciate the bloopers at the end of the videos, it gives a palate cleanser kind of feel, thank youuu ✨
Gross I just can’t e believe people are going along with being a witch. They are gross
They are gross. Don’t know why anyone went along with it. Why become a witch? It was not sexy at all. What did Bailey see in him?!!
So sad can’t trust nobody
Thank you!
I love how respectfully you cover these cases.
What I love about this Adrian us that he says "this is the case of THE VICTIM" . It's not about the killer. The victim is the true protagonist. Also, when he insults the murderer is truly fantastic. He speaks his mind and what we all feel.
I really love that he does that
This is why I like Adrian. He and Euphobia are both empathetic to the victim, and they make their videos about the victim rather than the perp(s).

I agree.. the beautiful Kitty is a welcome ending to this terribly sad and gruesome case.
@Adrian pls make it an ending piece in your Videos.. Your Kitty clearly wants to put its two bits.
I've heard this a few times but what a tragic story. Thanks for another great video Adrian!
Aww, kitty blooper was adorable. exactly what was needed after such a heartwrenching story.
Omg this channel is so underrated! The commentary, the punchlines, and empathy towards the victims is what keeps me coming back time and time again! Keep it up!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Over a million subs is underrated? His Adrian's channel is growing well considering how he was late to the true crime story format.
Dating apps seem like the perfect tool for predators to use for evil intentions.
Makes it so easy for me
Ikr. Imagine a Ted Bundy using that app. Jeez!
I just found Coffeehouse Crimes and I've been binge watching. I love this channel!
... love the "blooper" with the kitty. What a handsome kitty! Made me crack a relieved smile after such a dark video.

Omg! Your cat at the end was fantastic. Thank you for that bit of joy at the end of such a heavy story.
