Tents spook all the animals in the area when you fast travel to it. During the load screen there are noises like you were opening the tent, that noise spooks them. I realized it when I fast traveled to a moose drink zone and saw all the moose 100 metres away run immediately. Put the tent more than 200m from the spot you want to hunt, go place a blind, tree stand, or tripod in your hunting area. Fast travel back to your tent and rest until the desired time. The animals may not be there immediately, but they would generally be within a callable range. I completed two coyote missions from the same tree stand at Lake Leviathan this way.
I always use this same method on deer and moose, just without crossbow and tripods. I just chill in a tree that makes me invisible but gives me high visibility and call them and shoot them one by one with bow. Have killed entire herds of like 10-15 deer with this many times.
Flinter: Shoots a Gemsbok from 30-50 meters away with a crossbow and drops it. Me: Shoots a Gemsbok at point blank range and the bolt phases through it more than half the time.
Awesome vid, cant wait for these to come out. A zeroing that I use every time I play this is, the hawk edge bow with the 3 pin sight, if you zero to 60 the bottom pin 100. Comes in handy when you see a nice animal across a river or in a spot where you cant get into "bow range" but want the satisfaction of using one.
Treestands in Taiga are so fun cos they can be set up really high in the trees. Makes hunting moose in the forest areas quite fun imo. Just heartshot after heartshot with .300 magnum rifle.
Flinter you should do a video explaining the zeroing distances in meters and yards it’s kinda hard to translate from meters to yards and idk what each dot on the crossbow is or the bow with the pins
Assuming you meant to say it causes only 25% of the normal hunting pressure, in which case you can kill 14 without destroying a zone and are indeed correct. If it is only reduced by 25% then you can shoot 5 animals before the zone disappears.
The crossbow drops just about everything with the correct bolt for integrity.. especially frontal chest... hits more organs on entry... drops everything faster than rifles... and the crossbow produces less noise so the animals flee for less distance... after 125 yards they really don’t flee

Vaniac um I’m now quite sure but they’re benign realeased on the 4th so I’m sure we all will be able to find out then but like I’m not sure but I think it might be sort of close to how much the blinds cost cause I mean it’s not that different from a blind in the way that you set it up and hide from the animals.
hey @flinter just going to try to save your zones but you can only kill 11 animals before the zone deletes. so the zone deletes at 12 animals killed right there. 3 animals=zone deleted. 25%=4 animals which=1 animal. and 4•3=12. so at 12 animals your zone will delete

I had a glitch on parque fernando where axis deer ignored me completely, i shot the male first, and was shocked when i saw that none of them ran, i missed the heart shot so the male ran like 3 meters and then stopped. When i collected his body after shooting him again. I was very close to the others, i literally walked right up to one and shot in the air. The deer wasn't startled at all. Made 30k cash that day. Anyone else had this glitch?
alright im not flinter or anything, but zeroing refers to what the scope is set to be dead on at, in other words, if you're zeroed for 75m and the target is 150m away, it will land low. if you're zeroed for 150m and the target is 150m away, it will land dead on (not counting accuracy of the weapon itself).
Cash Glitch. 2.3m one harvest. If you encounter an animal that wont die or look's dead but wont harvest if you can still spot it then its a cash cow. Pump buckshot into its brain 100x or every ammo. Then fast travel to closest out post then go back to the kill and harvest it. Every pellet counts as one kill and pays one kill. Birdshot even better if its a small animal. 45 kill's ish per shot. 2.3m is the most i done. Then spent 2m on sprays and every weapon i didnt bother unlocking. But the grind is the fun.

Another thing about bows and CBs is if ure looking for money is that u can upgrade them in the bow perk tree and get a lot of arrows and bolts back.

The zoom should change the place you’re hitting with the crossbow
No it shouldn't your aim is in the same place when you zoom it doesn't change the angle your shooting at or anything that's not how scopes work.
Flinter animals dont spawn in a range of 150 metres from your spawn point.
Do blinds also reduce hunting pressure like the tripod and tree stands?

drag from your storage into inventory. Look into your inventory and drag them to an item slot (1-9) then you can use them :)
