Your enthusiasm is inspirational chum, I live in N. Ireland but never had a bass after 30 yrs fishing. Recently bought the savage gear shore game rod and have a new interest in bagging the spiney ones! 👍
I haven't seen you for years, Henry, I still have my old VHS videos of you in your younger days, you have put on a bit of weight but so have most of us.
So it's dark lures at night and bright when it's really bright. Makes sense, I remember old guys year's ago catching cod on black feather's at night off rocks.
Great to see you back Henry , albeit utube 🤣👍,just love your craziness, shouldn’t take too long to build a huge subs number ,good luck ,looking forward to seeing many more vids ,can you tell us if you will be doing any live streaming? 👍
Cracking video that captures the fun of fishing in light surf, and great advice. I know this because my first ever bass in the surf were caught last year with Seekers and Sandeel Pencils on, I believe, that very same beach. Such an exhilarating experience! Thank you Henry, Savage Gear and, for the day, John.
thank you ,been lure fishing now in my second season but up to now just done river and estuary we have a lot of flat surf beaches here ,now in mid september is it to late or any time
Been using the seekers for over a year and in my opinion superb lures. I mainly use the 23g seekers. My only criticism of them is that paint on them isn't that durable and lure chips to easily. That beach looks familiar, it isn't in castlegregory Co kerry by any chance? Was there 7 days ago trying for bass with my bro.
The Seekers are no different to any other lures - if they are bashed against rocks a lot, they are going to lose their finish. I tend to use mine mainly in the surf and they are as good as new
Great vid Henry, very in formative, here in kent is very much the same with the 2 hrs before low scenarios, we also have a few high venues that's do the same 2hrs before and after, I noticed you have changed your lure bag recently as you used to be hpa, just wondering what you use now, all the best 👍🎣🐟
The HPA bag is brilliant but often not easy to get hold of in the UK after Brexit............I am trying something else out at the moment, something we are working on

Another great watch!👏 Thanks for the knowledge once again hopefully it will help me land my first bass on a lure tomorrow.
Well, well. Hello Henry. Did i miss a lot. Last saw you 7yrs ago fishing the severns murky water. Great informative film.
it is amazing how shallow these things swim, amazing lure
Wow bass are beautiful fish, watching this makes me want to get into it looks great and peaceful
they are stunning fish, and we often catch them in stunning locations as well

Also clear water more natural lure colour type, murky water tend to go darker lure, night is more white and chartreuse colours 👍🎣🐟
Dark at night if there’s moon light but white at night if there’s no moon

Thank you Henry, Savage Gear and, for the day, John.
We are glad you enjoyed it, it is an awesome location.
Nice one Richard, thank you for your kind words
Gotta get myself some bass gear.
I like how he keeps saying, Yoh! Like a proper Saffa 😁
a lot of time spend with South Africans and Irish over the years!

Great to see some surf action...my kind of fishing! What lures do you recommend when the surf is really bouncing?
Really bouncing? 35g and 40g Surf Seekers for me
Great video mate , I’ve just started getting into this … what rod and reel are you using here!? Amazing flex in that rod!! 😮😊😊😊
How much of a ledge is Gilbey? Great video 👏👏

It wasn't Castlegregory, but we are glad you like the Surf Seekers.

I like my lures when they are beaten up. Don't like clipping on a new one, give me the veteran fish catchers every day!
This guy is incredibly intelligent when it comes too bass fishing
U have definitely caught something..THE SUN 😂😂
Major Craft Fintail Eden 55mm sinking. Tiny but deadly for Bass .

@@henrygilbey302 a new savage gear bag 👍🎣🐟
I catch mackerel on the beach with seekers no bass 😢
May I know your rod specifications please? Thank you!
Great video Henry. I'm looking to buy some waders for saltwater fishing is there any particular brand you'd recommend?
Vision breathable waders for me, when I am not testing out various things
Thanks for the reply Henry, much appreciated.
Superb. Inches Stand. Co. Kerry. Famous haunt of legends such as Leslie Moncrieff and Clive Gammon.
