Personally, I wouldn't care what it looked like, as long as it was solid. Great job, sir! I, know welders that can weld anything. They say, cast aluminum is when you've got to know what your doing. It's porous and nasty, to begin with.
I have a Ingersoll Rand 5 hp 50 gallon tank, I think your storage is the big deal. I've always bought the biggest compressor that I could afford. It's the life line of what I do.
