- Seeing Ren in his Busking form brought back a lot of memories of performing on the road, in the streets, and just performing in general.

Ren and The Big Push are just a phenom, absolutely everything is a hit, im loving this.
This was a great medley for sure.
This one is one of my favorites along with The Big Push - War Pigs (Black Sabbath cover). That one is amazing as well and what an awesome crowd.
I am doing that for my next Big Push reaction
@@mcflyjp That's awesome bro! FYI War Pigs came directly after this & if you want to do this entire show the way it was performed that day here's the set list.
The Big Push "I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop" (Bob/Damian Marley + Dead Prez)
The Big Push - War Pigs (Black Sabbath cover) mashed up with (Rage against the Machine)
The Big Push - Watch Out (live) (New song, Original Release by The Big Push)
The Big Push - Paint It Black (The Rolling Stones cover)
I know you'll love it like I did 😍😁
@@mcflyjp yay! Awesome choice!
@@robmarar Watch Out (an original song) and an outstanding Paint It Black were also performed that day, both are on YT.
@@davidjames3080 That's exactly what I wrote David, Read the list I wrote and the order I wrote it🤣
Lonely Boy/Paint it Black by The Big Push, Improvising Around Stevie Wonder by Ren and Sam Tompkins and One Dance/Drunk in Love Ren and Chinchilla. All awesome busking vids you should try. Great reactions man.
There's a lot to go through for sure. Just not sure where to start.
This mix was wonderful! Musician Ren is the magician when it comes to doing medlies infused with different genres, including a bit of scat! He is so diverse. Loved it! Great reaction and slick guitar playing too❤
Aww thanks. The guitar playing is where my confidence is super low. I have to get my chops back again.
Another great reaction JP! Blind eye (live) for Sam & Ren, for The Big Push - English man in New York cover!
Appreciate you Joel. I will notate these and they will be at the top of the list.
Couple things:
Have you thought about joining the discord?
Also you see Brock was essentially named the starter?
Great reaction again! Thanks for diving into this one and taking us along!
Of course. I love reacting to anything in the Renverse.
Their cover of Fatboy Slim's 'Praise You' is a must see. The busking version is good but it's the version with just the 3 of them, in a subway, that you want. It's a great performance! :)
I'll add it to the list. Definitely excited to go down this Ren sub rabbit hole. Lol
This
Glad you got to this one - so good. Feels like they would be happy to perform just as long as they got enough money to keep making music and go for a drink together afterwards (better life than many "rich" people in my book)
I 100% agree. Mo money mo problems.
Thanks for playing them. I enjoy it too much and wish they would perform here. I did hear him say he was going to southern America. He also did an amazing job at covering 'War Pigs' by Black Sabbath and Ren with Sam was awesome with 'Earned it, Falling '
It would be fun to walk by and see them just playing on the street.
The Big Push are: Ren (guitar, bass, vocals, etc etc etc), Romain Axisa (guitar, vocals), Gorran Kendall (bass, guitar, vocals), and Glenn Chambers (drums).
Thanks for this. I should've looked up other members before getting into it.
@@mcflyjp no worries!
Romain and Gorran both have solo work as well, in genres a bit different from what Ren does.
Thinking of Ren's entire back catalogue... With the guitar / instruments he plays, the writing, the rapping, the singing, story telling, one-take videos, his message's within songs and his overall artistry... Who else can do what Ren can do? Answer..... NOBODY! Certainly nobody I have ever seen in my 46 years.
He's definitely breaking the mold of any mainstream artist. And yes doing it all extremely well. No one like him.
I love the music they do together. I hope they will share even more.
Maybe once Ren gets back on his feet they will get together again. Who knows?
@@mcflyjp in the interview with Black pegasus, Ren explained that they are still connected but they are now connected with different projects, one of them is living in Thailand, ... so who knows ?
The other Big Push musicians are Romaine Axisa on guitar, Gorran Kendall on bass, and Glen Chambers on drums. I don't know much about them, except that Romaine is from Toulouse, France and looks terrific in a skirt!
That's an awesome breakdown. Thanks.
Amazingly, straight after this they did another mash up, featuring War Pigs. I highly, highly recommend it to see his vocal and musical, flexibility
That will be the next TBP song I react to 😊
So cool your getting into TBP
Looking forward to all of it🎶💛🔥💯
Glad you enjoy. There will be more soon!
War Pigs covered by The Big Push is very good. You should try that one. This was a great reaction!
That will be the next Big Push song I react to.
@@mcflyjp Yay!
The version done at the same time as this one (gray shirt, red suspenders) is the best one. Ren must have really been 'on' that day.
JP!!! Start ypur band up again, or something.
You go for it! You can play and you miss it, its a no brainer! Do it. Nothing to lose, everything to gain, for you and your mental health/well being. ❤
I'm trying to find a way to get back into music somehow b
Great! You might like their cover of "Paint it Black", also -- glad to see you representing busking!
They have covered a lot of good songs!
Romaine Axisa on guitar, Gorran Kendall on bass, and Glen Chambers on drums are fantastic musicians in their own right.... try bongo bong, or their fat boy slim cover or their solo stuff
Love all the musicians and definitely want more.
Just a small spelling correction. The fantasic guitar players name is Romain Axisa (no e at the end) and the drummer is Glenn Chambers (two n:s).
Their Bongo Bong cover is fantastic. Having heard the Manu Chao original before listening to it is recommended though. As usual with their covers they are capturing the soul of the original but making it even better.
just saying hello and congratulating on how fast your channel is growing and well deserved. each time i look there are 20k more. 100,000 in no time I predict. when you have time you should check out marcin a Polish guitarist that is also a genius, and in some ways on ren;s level of artistry. he also has a huge following
Oooo a new guitarist to check out! I'm all for it.
@@mcflyjp he is in his early twenties and in many peoples opinion is the greatest EVER. . I think you will be almost amazed as you were with ren. you will say"I didn't expect that"
My favourite performance by TBP! Also Wade in the water mashup and swan song. Oh and Englishman in New York. I just love them all 😂🖤
These are all that's left of me too explore Ren minis some of his earlier stuff. I have enjoyed these a lot
@@mcflyjp I’m going through what’s left of your playlist that I haven’t seen atm. Look forward to seeing reactions to those ones tho! 🖤
This is a fabulous performance!! Excited for more Big Push!
Loved this one. Excited to do more.
I think you might also like Ren's retake of Fisher's Losing It. It's different-upbeat as it's a revised EDM track--but the lyrics definitely show a different side...
I've been wanting to do Losing It for a while. That will be my next Rap track from Ren.
Great informative reaction as always! P.S Love the T-Shirt :D
Thanks. One of my favorite shirts.
Great reaction ❤ You will love, love love The Big Push
'It's Alright'
This has a cool sax addition.
And
Bongo Bong to hear Romain (singing in French) as well as Ren of course.
Romain Axisa is the French Guy doing his solo - Romain has a new song out - he's great ❤❤
Gorran Kenall - Shirtless 😘 Listen to "War Pigs" To hear Gorran Sing in the busking setting.
I'll be back for the reactions 😅❤❤❤❤❤
Seems that everyone is all multi talented and I love that!
Nice reaction to #1 on my playlist #2 is also The Big Push - Wade in the water/Trouble so hard - Check it out ..another but older mindblowing performance.
I will check it out! Thanks for the love and thanks for the suggestion.
Now you have to check out black sabbath medley after they perform this next
That will be the next Big Push song I do.
Loving your guitar bits!!
Thanks! I appreciate that!
Please go for their cover of englishman in New York, mindblowing. Thanks for the video.
Thanks. I will see about adding it to the list!
Remarkable.
Enjoyed it a lot.
2 possibilities for the next Big Push busking video choice...
1) War Pigs. It's from this same busking session, and they played it immediately after the Sheriff/Zion/Hip Hop track you covered today. And it's astounding (the Sabbath video - it's a medley too, with an extra surprise).
2) Wade In the Water/Nina Simone/Trouble So Hard. Not enough channels look at this one. It features Ren on bass (something NO Ren fan should miss out on experiencing), and bassist Gorran gets to sing lead at one point (which happens in the Sabbath medley too, but idk, his vocals really stand out in my mind for this track).
... but...
3) The Big Push's original material is SUPER worth watching. It's hard to believe they didn't get more attention as a band, while they were together.
Edit: wait, Im on my phone so maybe I didnt do a good job of scanning your catalogue of vidéos, but... have you not touched Ren & Sam Blind-Eyed yet???
I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend that for your FIRST exposure to that song, you go with the live in MC (Music Crown) studios session. The Angry Patking Garage version is ALSO amazing, if you can't resist the lure of it, but for your first ever listen of the song imo go with the MC version. The official recording/music video is (you guessed it) great too, but the song is most stunning to ne when it's just Sam and Ren and Ren's accoustic guitar.
I'm seeing how talented they are and I'm surprised they didn't get more attention. But better late than never.
The War Pigs one will be next.
So great to see you with an instrument!!! (Id say a guitar but I can’t remember if you play more than one! Id watch you play anything tbh)
I dabble in piano. And can play bass too. But guitar is my baby.
I can't believe you called that Telecaster a Stratocaster and that Epiphone a Les Paul
I'm blind af. It happens.
Also for the record Epiphone have been trying to mimic Les Paul's as long as I can remember. A d aren't even close.
❤❤❤❤❤
TBP has a couple of their own songs that are just plain fun:
Sweet Little Lady (edited...oops)
Icarus
these are both a little more indie rock-oriented. the videos just add to the fun.
I want to hear some of their original stuff.
@@mcflyjp both those songs above are originals. also, XBox Marijuana...there are more, but those are the 3 that come to my damaged mind immediately.
Thank you, McFly. Great band, great reaction
Thanks Dirt! I appreciate you.
Have you done the Wade in the Water busking clip? As precise as he is, Ren’s really feeling the music, on bass, in that one.
Ohhhh he plays bass on a track? I would love to see that one.
@@mcflyjp he plays bass on several things. Guitar, bass and piano he plays equally well. It’s amazing the talent.
Ren, the genre bender!! (Is that a word play?)
Nope. He's definitely a genre bender. Haha
Yay!!!!
Scatting Ren is so cool.
@@mcflyjp would you said you were doing this song I was hoping that you chose the medley. I'll be back on discord later. 😁 You've been busy while I've been working this week. I've got a lot of videos to catch up on.
Twice a day at least for this one for me ❤
That's a lot! I feel like anything with a bluesy feel I can listen to whenever.
🔥🔥❤❤
🔥🎸❤️😎✌️
Watch them do What Kind of Woman Is This, so good 😁
Got a few requests for that bill add it to the list.
Are you going to go back to your performing as you miss it so much? Sounds like good therapy/medicine for the soul
I agree! He should, even if only on a friends jamming session once a week or something. 👍
Maybe. A friend of mine wants to make music and he wants me to do it all with him. Might take him up on it.
@@mcflyjp go for it my friend, you have music flowing through you, it would be such a shame to let it go to waste. It's a great way to vent your spleen as they say back in the UK. Don't hold back and have yourself some fun 👍
👆 what Vanessa said. Go for it
Not a Strat or a Les Paul, but a Tele and an ES 335 (I think). Still, a great reaction to a wonderful performance.
Goddammit. I said I couldn't tell but thought I was pretty closebb
@@mcflyjp it's cool, you got the makers right at least!
@@ChrisLawton66 it’s a Epiphone not a Gibson 👍
Great reaction and breakdown, except Ren's not playing a Stratocaster, as you said at 2.58secs 🤔Ren's playing a Telecaster 😉😁
Yeah I'm stupid for that. And thats not a Les Paul either :(
Please also try Romain Axisa’s new song “Turn the lights down” dark, fun, catchy 😁 Plus he REALLY should have more than 13,000 subs!
Yeah that's kind of insane if that's all he has.
You need to do warpigs from the same session it's amazing😊
War pigs is going to be the next one, as a Sabbath fan.
Please listen to Bongo Bong!
It's on my list for sure.
if you like the bluesy side of Ren/Big Push Wade in the Water/ Nina Simone mash up would be right up your alley
MC Sessions version of Blind Eyed is a good introduction to Ren and Sam
Thanks for these suggestions. There's always different people saying different things so it's nice to see people be straight up with what I should listen to.
Do the Big Push video "Why My Woman"
Oh haven't heard that one yet.
-
After your commentary pauses . . . back -
- tracking 3 - 6 - 9 seconds would be
A P P R E C I A T E D . G R E A T Reaction .
I have gotten better at it since then. I get lost in it that I sometimes forget to back track.
The Big Push is phenomenal, my favorites are Wade in the water/Nina Simone/Trouble so hard - ruclips.net/video/DbL7Frf6nJI/видео.html
and Bongo bong (a Manu Chao cover) - ruclips.net/video/EQAUupOFarw/видео.html. I would love to see your take on those
The Bongo Bong reaction is one I've heard a lot about so I'm excited for that one.
Would love you to check out their song Sweet Little Lady! The music video is so much fun!! ❤
I'll add it to the list!
Good reaction bro 👍 but your audio output is garbage on this one. Just saying, man 💓
What about the audio is garbage? It sounds fine to me. As an audio engineer and musician I think the levels are very good.
@@mcflyjp I weren't trying to be rude, dude 😊
Try 'Three Shades of Whatever's' reaction to Ren - Hunger, in your cans (how are you gonna "drop the treble"?) or 'Bro Action' - Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms and then listen to your own output in your headphones.
@@dannythedoodle I'm trying to understand so i can make it better. But telling me to listen to others doesn't help explain why YOU think it sounds bad. What sounds bad?
Is it the microphone? The music of the video I'm watching? What is it?
@@dannythedoodle Alright I listened to the first one. They are way too far away from the mic and the music is like 10x louder than they are. Yeah you can hear the music, but you can't hear them for shit. I turn down the audio for all the music because its about _levels_ not blaring music in your ears so you can't hear the commentary.
For the 'Bro Action' one the music video is using 160 bitrate which is the lowest you can use. I use 512. And again, the music is way louder than their voices. I have herad these songs before, I want to hear the commentary.
This is coming from an audio engineering perspective as well as what I like to hear in a reaction video.
