Haven't forgotten this game. The Algerians put up a very strong fight and in the end everyone on the team was half dead -- definitely the most exhausting game for Germany in the tournament.
I will say that vs Argentina was the most exhausting, anyway pretty much all the games was really tough for Germany, with the exception of Portugal & Brasil, Germany always won by 1 goal difference.

One of the most memorable world cup matches I have watched. Both teams fought so hard for 120 minutes, the algerian players looked like they were in so much pain for the last 15 minutes but they still gave an end to end performance. That is what makes the world cup so special, giving everything you have on the pitch for your nation.
But the second goal of Germany was in the 120th minute, and Algeria scored the first goal in the 120 + 1 minute. Unfortunately, it was a strong match and a legendary Algerian goalkeeper. 💕

i watched this match live in my neighborhood in Algeria, best match of my life, everyone went crazy when the offside goal was scored and the projector fell haha i swear we didn't know it was offside until after 7 minutes into the game haha.

i watched this match live in my neighborhood in Algeria, best match of my life, everyone went crazy when the offside goal was scored and the projector fell haha i swear we didn't know it was offside until after 7 minutes into the game haha.
