I played this game as a kid but never could get past that yellow bird thing at the end. I didn't even realize I was at the end! This was one of my favorites on the C64.
My friends and me used to get a big kick out of the introduction part of this game. The combination of the eerie music and that big caped character giving instructions and orders.
I enjoyed watching this being played and completed. I think i still have it somewhere in storage on cassette. I can't remember too much about the playing experience, but i must have been incredibly frustrating. The sound effects and 'cosmic-jazz' like soundtrack really suit the cool oddness of the game. I think there was a way to speed up or slow down the transformation in the settings menu, as that looks like it could slow you down when you least need it and result in some unexpected (and cheap) deaths.
Wow thankyou for this, that's a cool game I hadn't heard of, but I love the different modes. I think people forget how innovative this was for it's time. I'll have to try this on my mini when I get a chance
Holy cow! That was the end? I almost made it back in the day. I could never figure out how to get through that pit wheere you cant see. Tried many times, and this dude made it look easy. I thought this looked great and played smooth, but overall the gameplay was boring. At least it was on the cheaper side, 9.99 at target if i remember correctly

What an interesting game! The graphics are really cool and very fluid. Nice soundtrack as well.

This feels like a 70s fever dream
Some unique stuff here!
bought this game out of a bargain bin way back in the day. I remember thinking it was pretty damned cool. and hard.
Love this game.......hard as usual.
Like Zaxxon without being forced to constantly go forward.
Very interesting game!
What is the reason to change between robot and aircraft? Couldn't you collect the things with the aircraft simply?
There are enemies that prevent you from staying as an aircraft for very long.
Ah! Thank you for the explanation!
